DogPot?

"The first dish we are going to prepare is the starry sky soup. It is made of another dish, fish soup, added with the meat of the sea dragon."

I took over the first introduction of the dish, then we both took turns explaining the steps of the dish, as we had agreed before.

While Ken was explaining the steps, I was following his words. I put the sea dragon into the star water and fairy wing mixture as he was talking about getting rid of the parasites on the sea dragon. And as I was explaining the ingredients inside the jars we use to get rid of the parasites on the crabs, Ken demonstrated by adding the ingredients in the jar.

Once we finished the preparation for the starry sky soup and fried stars, both of us reached under the kitchen counter to haul up the three jars.

"This is the hybrid dish for this stream, Kimchi. It tastes slightly spicy and goes really well when mixed with ingredients like rice or vegetables. Made using an equal amount of water mixed with sun dust. However, before adding these ingredients together, there is a need to half fry or soft fry a mixture of red kelp and red beans. Then leave them in these jars for a period of time. Starting from the right, the first jar was made 5 days ago, the second jar was made 4 days ago, and the third one was made yesterday. Later, you will be able to taste the difference in taste between all of them."

At this signal, Ken and I both opened the lids of the jars at the same time, facing the drone camera.

"If you can notice, all three jars contain a slightly different mixture. That is one of the good points of kimchi! However, that does not mean you can add anything into kimchi. You must be careful of the type of ingredients because it can cause your mixture to spoil or create something inedible."

Scooping up two portions each, we sent one portion of each jar into the taste analyzer machine.

Giving the viewers enough time to test the dishes, we then placed them at the side, but still within the stream range, and prepared to cook some fried fairy wings. We also returned the jars back to the floor.

Since fried fairy wings were already quite an accepted dish in Aquarius, Ken only needed to explain the cultural background behind them as I got ready the water. Serving up several fried fairy wings, I glanced at the timer for the starry sky soup.

And...just nice! Stopping the timer immediately before it rang, I took out the sea dragon and talked about how to create fish soup while Ken was preparing the fish soup. Then I placed the sea dragon inside the pot.

Setting another timer, we both got busy placing the fish outside to dry. Then after that we jumped straight into the actual fried dish. While Ken was telling its story, I was clearing some of the pots and pans we were no longer going to use. Placing them into the sink, I prepared the fryer for both fried eggs and fried passion.

Once I finished my preparations, Ken was still talking so I took a moment to peek at the chat. Most people were laughing or commenting in disbelief at the backstory of such a simple sounding dish. But when Ken mentioned that it was made from an edible parasite, you could see the chat slow down and a lot of concerned voices appearing. As well as some who were voicing out their disgust.

Closing my personal terminal, I passed the parasite to Ken and we both proceeded to demonstrate how to cook fried eggs. We simply just added them into the water after washing them clean.

In my mind, based on how the viewers were acting, I predicted that right now after seeing our action they would be even more worried and concerned. All the other dishes that contained parasites used lengthy preparation to kill them, and yet we were just simply boiling and eating a parasite.

Once we boiled more than enough for us and the viewers, which was basically around 5, we sent one to the taste analyzer and plated two. Then, on the count of three, we bit and swallowed our own portion of fried egg.

Different from what you would expect of something that looked like poached eggs, the inside was not as gooey as you would think. Instead, there was quite a delightful softness to the insides of the parasite. And due to boiling, the usually rough surface of that specific parasite turned smooth. Probably through some mysterious reaction.

The 'yolk' part of the parasite was slightly salty and tasted a little like chicken soup, while its outer surface tasted more like bread. Overall, an interesting and unthinkable combination. However, it did not taste too bad at all.

Swallowing the whole thing in one bite, I turned around to start preparing more fried eggs, Compared to the poisons, I think it would take a while more for viewers to gather their guts to eat this dish, so we planned to cook several batches and eat them until the end of the stream.

As I was frying the parasites, Ken was preparing the fried passion.

"For fried passion, we make use of the red ribbon parasite that I showed previously. However we are not using the whole parasite, just the trimmings that can be commonly bought from red ribbon fish farms. After we dry the fish and get rid of all its parasites, we mash the red ribbon parasite into a paste and mix it with an equal amount of sun dust. This will form a nice outer coating for our fish. Then we just need to fry this coated fish to get a sweet and crunchy fried fish. Also known as fried passion due to its red colored outer coating. Another name that it used to be called by was fried love, but that received a little mixed reaction due to customers having the misconception that the meat was the meat from the heart of an animal. Therefore it was rebranded into fried passion."

I watched as Ken coated the fish, and vacated the frier once I saw that he was coming over.

While we were frying the fried passion, I handed more fried eggs to Ken and we both ate them. Hopefully like this, people would also be more willing to try the fried passion, as well as have a less prejudiced view of food made from parasites.

Once the fried passion was done, we plated it and sent one portion into the taste analyzer. Looking at the timer, we were quite fast with about 4 more minutes left. So, while chewing on fried egg, we both decided to open my personal terminal and check on the viewers.

Both of us were expecting some more resistance towards this kind of food, but contrary to our worries, the chat was mostly just enjoying pigging out on food. There were viewers raving on about each and every dish, as well as a constant stream of volts being given.

Hearing an audible sigh of relief from Ken, I looked at him to see a face glowing with happiness and relief.

Finishing up our fried eggs, we gave our stomach a little rest and talked about the Piscus culture while keeping an eye on the timer.

When it was time, Ken immediately turned off the timer before the sound would come out and I turned off the fire. Ken was in charge of taking the bowls while I poured the soup into each one of the four bowls.

Placing one bowl in the taste analyzer, and one bowl next to all our dishes for the viewers to try, we picked up our bowls of starry sky soup, knocked them as cheers, and drank them in one go. After all that hard work, we desperately needed something to quench our thirst. Especially after so many fried dishes.

Slamming the bowl down and wiping away the oil on his lips, Ken gave a satisfied sigh, before he remembered he was on a livestream, and desperately tried to cover up his actions.

Commenting on the taste of the soup, I helped Ken calm down, and we transitioned to our closing talk for the livestream.

"Well, that's all for today! I hope you enjoyed the dishes and may we see you next time!"

Waving goodbye, I finally ended and stream.

Once he was sure he was no longer live, Ken gave a big sigh, and a bigger burp, before slumping over on the kitchen counter.

"I can't believe I forgot I was live for even a second. I'm so mortified."

Seeing him cover his face with his hands, I laughed at his embarrassment and consoled him.

"Don't worry. It probably made the viewers more interested in drinking the soup."

"Don't say anymore! I will never live this down!"

Writhing in agony, Ken let out a long groan before shooting off the kitchen counter.

"Whatever!! It's over already!"

We both walked over to the sink and started washing up. While we were talking about the stream in the middle of washing the dishes, a familiar voice spoke from near the kitchen doorway.

"Congratulations Ken! I bet tomorrow your face is going to spread all over the internet. Especially your oil mustache and old man behavior."

Upon hearing the voice, Ken's face lit up in happiness before processing the words and then changing to embarrassment.

"Be quiet Sam! My picture will NOT spread through the internet for that! And also that's not old man behavior! I was just showing the viewers how delicious the soup was!"

Ken turned around and stuck out his tongue at the familiar sounding stranger at the doorway.

"Sure sure. You can say that all you want , but if I say it will spread then it probably will spread. After all, my job is quite involved with online culture so I know what will go viral and what will not."

A smile formed on the stranger's face.

Giving a huff of fake anger, Ken pointed to the man with soapy hands.

"Be quiet old man!"

The eldest brother of their family chuckled and then introduced himself.

"Hello Alex, thank you for looking after my little brat of a brother. I am the oldest brother, Samuel. Nice to meet you."

He placed the bags that he was holding onto the kitchen counter.

That voice. I have heard it for most of the nights when I was washing up dishes for Sazzy.

"DogPot?"

Sazzy : It's such a small world!

Alex : It's an incredibly small world!

Samuel : It's too small of a world. Can't a guy just work in peace without having someone expose his identity to his family. It's quite awkward you know, to have your family know your internet persona.

Alex : Rather, once the inn starts getting famous won't the chances of you being exposed become much higher. After all, if I can recognise your voice, I'm pretty sure your long time viewers can also.

Samuel : ......I don't want to think of this problem. Better yet, there is a much more immediate problem I need to solve first, right!?

Alex : ......Sorry.
