Not far from Yves King, in a booth, sat two men and two women. They took turns rolling dice and cheerfully drinking. Regardless of the other three, whom Yves didn't know, the woman in the middle wearing a red, sexy halter dress was who caught his attention.
He had sharp eyes. Even in the dimly lit space, awash in a chaotic assault of colored lights, and across a distance of seven or eight meters, he recognized her instantly. Even with her heavy smokey makeup, blazing red lips, and a seductively burning ladies' cigarette, he spotted her.
"What the hell?" Yves King was taken aback by her new look. The shocking transformation had his heart racing. Wasn't she a police officer? Seemed like she was some sort of serious crime detective or something.
