FiveHead Monster: Primordial Beast Of Chaos

Quite some time ago, in a world not so different from Earth, Hailing from the Chaos at the dawn of creation, a lone hatchling of legendary origins takes its first breath- or rather, multiple breaths at the same time. As it turns out, this hatchling is gifted with several heads. Never alone, this curious creature seeks to scour the deepest depths and highest peaks. ------ The world is an Ancient time period Earth, but includes many fantasy-like additions inspired by the mythologies of our Earth. As you can probably guess, the MC is a 5 headed Hydra, not exactly the Lernaean Hydra but in the same mythology nonetheless. Story starts during the reign of Titan King Kronos. As a side note, it won't only be Greek mythology but also others as the novel goes on. Take note: - No Romance! Hydra does not love. - Mc will be relatively OP, nothing over the top or ridiculous but certainly contains fast growth befitting of a higher being. - 1k or so words per chap. - MC is Chaotic neutral (obviously) - And lastly, no turning into a human. Those are lesser beings, they have only one head. - No little band of monster friends that the MC keeps around so they can stay weak, only grind for us. War On The Horizon

Almost a decade later, deep within the Mediterranean Sea,

In the abyssal trenches, a cosmic purple resonated within the clear waters. The light breaking in from above creating a beautiful contrast with the ephemeral glow deep within the bowels of the sea. It was monstrous, the elaborate system of light thrumming on a 'canvas' that was 600m high, and easily 1,500m long. In other words, the giant figure could easily dwarf any average mountain!

" Rumble... rumble....!..Rumble! " Their movements were unhurried, yet the effect they had the surroundings was catastrophic. The continuous rumbling originating from the giant pieces of debris descending deeper into the abyss, uncaringly demolished by a certain Chaos born.

' It was time ' They thought, steeling themselves. These past few years productive for the Hydra. They constantly sought and improved to master their powers even more. Indoctrinating themselves in the intricacies and mystifying nature of their power.

Harnessing Chaos from the gap between reality, plucking power from conceptual nonexistence. And their hard work was not for naught, for they had developed a revolutionary ability! By constantly training their minds to subconsciously channel energy constantly, they had managed to create a theoretical perpetual energy system! Though it wasn't perfect, it was enough to make their reserves obsolete in the face of infinite energy! - but again it wasn't perfect, so if they used up more of their reserves than they could generate, they would still end up having to focus and channel more.

But not without drawbacks, the ability seemed to do nothing for energy capacity. In fact, the ability weakened their divine energy and mental capacity greatly because of the burden maintaining the system subconsciously. If not for their combined intellectual prowess, any other being would have imploded. So the Hydra thought to power off the system when they would aim for big attack!

" Rahahah! " They laughed triumphantly, the sound of their ghastly laughter echoing weirdly within the trenches. This guaranteed he wouldn't face those same weaknesses in the last battle.

" Fwooooosh!~ " Five heads broke through the water's surface. Deciding to head towards north, which they could feel from their connection to Gaea. It was time, and this time he would crush them!

Cruising through the sea, akin to a floating fortress, the beast slithered onward. Their mere travel inciting giant waves and tsunamis.

--- The Cretan Mountains ---

Emerging from a cave, a young man steps out in the light. With the wind gracing his immature mane of platinum white hair, eyes blue like the boundless sky. His body rippling with muscles crafted by the divine. A white chiton draped over his torso.

" So it's soon huh? " He said to no one in particular. His voice brimming with confidence, albeit one could notice a hint of trepidation if one was observant.

" Mother says I have to go free my siblings from my father's tyrannous hands. When that day comes, I wonder if I would inherit the world? " He says with a glint in his eyes, not even considering the fact he would lose.

" Zeus! ZEUS! Have you stepped outside again?! What is someone discovered you! Everything we planned would go up flames if someone did! " A feminine voice from inside the cave yelled.

" I'm sorry Melissa, just wanted to get some fresh air! You know I hate being in there! I was born to be under the sky! HA! " Zeus replied, clearly unapologetic.

" UGH! You are such a troublemaker! Get inside now! We can't afford to fail after getting this far. And Amalthea is looking for you! " Melissa scolded, she was a mountain nymph that was entrusted with the young God's protection. Having raised him since he was a child, she could see through him with a glance.

" Hahaha! Alright, alright! I'm coming! " Zeus conceded. Despite all his faults, he was still fond of his caretakers. Deciding to do one more trick, he channeled his divine energy into his feet, and sped off into the cave with enchanted speed.

" ZEUS! Don't you dare use your divinity here! What if somebody noticed!! " Melissa was infuriated beyond belief. Smacking his head, she proceeded to lecture him.

" Sorry! That was the last, promise! And besides, it was only a little. " Zeus apologized. Properly this time, knowing how much that stunt would've cost him and their sibling if he went even a little farther.

With the sun now starting to descend into the River Okeanos, the mountains grew quiet. Zeus and company were patiently anticipating the start of the plan, it wasn't far off now. Soon, he would free his siblings, and together they would rule the cosmos as their new King, as was his birthright.

--- Mediterranean Sea ---

After cruising for a while, the Hydra had finally started to see land. This time, it was a moderately sized island, enough to fit two Hydras of their size. It was ripe with nature and had beautiful shores and water. The clear weathers complimenting the shoreline.

' Good. ' they thought. While this wasn't their destination, it was a good sign.

Approaching the Island, the Hydra's right most head spotted a familiar figure. Right on the coast, a beautiful green haired woman was standing. She had a tranquil expression, and seemed to be expecting them. Deciding to humor her, since a being of her importance wouldn't just show up for no reason, sibling or not.

Reaching about a hundred meters from the shore, they stopped. Claws anchoring themselves into the seabed, all five heads stared down at Gaea. It would've been mortifying for anyone else, with five monstrous heads connected to a head that was hidden deep within the Sea, eyes glowing with purpose and certainty, all of them. But this was Gaea, she had seen similar sights many times before.

" Long time no see, brother. " Gaea greeted amicably. Her smile would have enchanted any ordinary mortal or immortal who saw it.

" But, we have much to discuss. War is brewing, and it's not looking good. Fate is splintered. You will need to be involved. " Gaea said vaguely.

" What. Do. You. Mean? " They asked, genuinely confused. They were just on their way to slaughter a pantheon, what's this about fate?

" Listen, your existence is a complete mystery. An 'ordinary' primordial - if there were any - would normally be born with a purpose. We primordial beings are the embodiment of the pillars that make up reality. For example, Nyx is the irreplaceable eternal darkness, she embodies the night itself. I am the Earth, who hosts all life. Yet... you do not have any of that at all! You are like an extension of mother Chaos herself! You are unique! And so comes the problem, you have true freedom, you may have chosen to become the balance-keeping Chaos incarnate, but you chose that path, It was not bestowed upon you at all! In other words, you have no fate. " Gaea explained as succinctly as possible.

" Have. No. Fate? " They pressed on.

" It means you are free from destiny, and are unattached to any binding concepts. Right now, you have already escaped fate and death! Do you remember when you fought the Titans? " She questioned.

" Indeed. They. Destroyed. My. Territory. " Five heads affirmed.

" Yes that! That was never supposed to happen! Your actions have disrupted fate, and now the future is uncertain. The previously set point in time broken off into broken paths. If things go wrong, the consequent butterfly effect would devastate most of the western world for years to come. Now, I am not blaming you, but I am here to suggest a solution. " She proposed, hoping to restore the flow of fate.

" Mmmm. We. Will. Help. You. Fight. The. Titans. "

" Who. Are. Your. Champions? " They deducted her proposal and got straight to the point. After all, wasn't it Chaos' purpose to keep balance? Though, wasn't the uncertain future also Chaos? This was getting confusing, but they were resolved to enforce their own ideology nonetheless.

" Excellent, since you were seeking war with them anyway, this is a total win-win. " Gaea concluded, certain that she had now curbed the future disaster. Though there would be some inevitable changes.

And so, with a wave of her hand, she disappeared.

War is on the Horizon, and its comin' in hot.
