Chapter 13

INT (JORDAN VALLEY MEDICAL CENTER/HOSPITAL ROOM)- DAY

The Rogue Agent sitting beside Phil in his hospital room was just looking at his son in disappointment. He touched his sons face to show his appreciations of how much he loved his son. He knows how much he let him down later in his life. The Rogue Agent looked up when he heard the door open. Samuel walked into the room with flowers. The Rogue Agent got up.

SAMUEL

Dad. I know you hate me calling you that now but I-

The Rogue Agent walked over towards his son and hugs him. Samuel hugs his father while tears are running down his face.

THE ROGUE AGENT

I am so sorry. I left you all for so long because of the revenge I wanted on Vinnie and his little ponds. But all I did was split the family more.

SAMUEL

It's ok dad. But mom, she still doesn't want to see you. She blames you for all of this. She tole me to tell you she will she Phil while you aren't here.

The Rogue Agent put his head down.

SAMUEL (CONT)

I'm sorry dad.

THE ROGUE AGENT

It's not your fault son. It's mine. I'll go.

Samuel wanted to reach his hand out to stop his father from leaving but didn't. He knows his father just needs time. The Rogue Agent walked out the room. Samuel walked over towards his brother lying in the hospital bed and put the flowers on the small cabinet beside his bed. Samuel looked up at the tv when he heard news channel speaking of what happened, and how the Attorney General is going to give a set apology.

INT. BOUS (BLOG OF UTAH SOCIETY) -TV STUDIO

MEGHAN

Welcome onto the show Attorney General, I am so sorry to here of the terrible accident that happened on the job. It shows how difficult it is to be in blue.

ATTORNEY GENERAL

All of what happened is a terrible thing, and today I'm here to apologize to everyone. This was something that should not have happened. Ten casualties and one child still missing. This is heartbreaking not only to Utah, but all over the world.

MEGHAN

Please take your time.

ATTORNEY GENERAL

Thank you.

(Turns towards the camera)

Utah, I want to sincerely apologize to you for the terrible error made by my staff. I truly don't know how to persuade you that I genuinely believe I am at fault, which is why I want to apologize for my errors. What happened to Don King and Cameron Smith at that precise moment is unknown to me. Please accept our apologies for all our transgressions; the words I have said to you are very important. And it saddens me to know how much you are suffering. I really regret that any of these unsavory events occurred; they won't occur again. Everyone involved in the mission has been released. And we will try once more. I'm grateful for you listening.

MEGHAN

Thank you for coming out and speaking.

Samuel reached for the remote and turned off the tv.

SAMUEL

They aren't telling us everything. There's no way my brother would do those things without a reason.

Samuel looked over towards his brother in the hospital bed.

SAMUEL (CONT)

Brother no matter how big the wall is I will always be there for you. Remember that.

Samuel touched his brothers hand putting his head down.

SAMUEL (CONT)

It's only us to now.

INT (HOUSE OF COURTNEY LAND/LIVING ROOM)- DAY

Courtney after watching the news got up from her the couch.

INT (COURTNEY HOUSE/OFFICE)

Courtney walked into her office. She looked at all her old not about Vinnie. She looked sad believing maybe she was wrong. Maybe it was all fake. Picking up her note pad she looked at the sources she had. Before she could think of anything else, she heard her phone ring in the living room.

INT (HOUSE OF COURTNEY LAND/LIVING ROOM)

Courtney looked at her phone when she noticed it was a unknown number. She picked up the phone to answer.

COURTNEY

Hello this is Courtney Land, Journalist to-

THE ROGUE AGENT (V.O)

Hello Courtney, it's me. I need your help.

COURTNEY

(Surprise)

Jake.

JAKE

Hey, do you want to help me with something important Courtney. I could really use your support.

COURTNEY

Jake, you know my sister doesn't want me talking to you. Why do you think I say your code name in all my interviews?

JAKE

I know but this is important.

COURTNEY

I saw the news. Let me guess, your being taken in.

JAKE

No, that's not it.

COURTNEY

(Walking over to the window)

Then what is it.

JAKE

I need your help in catching Vinnie and his little female friend.

COURTNEY

Jake, but that's dangerous. The Attorney General said everyone died.

JAKE

Don't believe him. He's not telling everything.

COURTNEY

But why would he lie. Our lives are in danger.

JAKE

It's simple. I think he's hiding something. I know it.

COURTNEY

What do you think it is?

JAKE

I don't know but were going to figure it out. You're a smart woman, and I know with you anything is possible.

Courtney sighed

JAKE

I'm sorry. I should give you-

COURTNEY

I'll help.

JAKE

Are you sure Courtney? If you are hesitant, I will not force you.

COURTNEY

I am sure. I have issues with a company that believes Vinnie isn't a real person. Parasol is my main priority. And if Vinnie is after William, he knows about the companies' secrets.

JAKE

This company could have you killed.

COURTNEY

I know, but I'm a journalist Jake. I will do anything to get the truth out.

JAKE

Ok, I'll see you soon. This is going to be the riskiest mission I've ever done. And from this I hope I gain more regrets.
