We no longer ignore the open door. All we had in mind was to defend ourselves.
We were both also holding irons and whatever else was found on the floor as resistance. Even Macey was trembling, holding a rusted iron, its tip still sharp.
When we heard a crack, we immediately became alert.
But instead of attacking us, I seem to be going to have a heart attack for exposing us.
A drop of blood dripped down my nose.
The same goes for my companions, which is why we are once again on the lookout. When we looked up, a shocking sight appeared before our eyes.
From the broken ceiling, where there were a few broken pieces of steel, there was a pierced body. We could no longer avoid its sudden collapse. Without saying a word, it just plunged down in front of us.
Sighing and sobbing prevailed. I covered my mouth in shock when I met the woman, who was now dead.
Gone were her eyes, as if forcibly abducted. Her neck was choked with a thick chain.
She was also bathed in his own blood because of the irons stuck in his chest, throat, abdomen, and legs.
"Abi."
Francine went out of the room with her creased forehead. On her right hand is her phone. She's trying to lift it up, trying her luck to find at least one bar of signal.
It only took a matter of seconds after she stepped outside of the room when someone approached her.
"Hey!" she greeted.
"Hey." The girl greeted him back with a smile.
It was her friend, Abi.
They didn't have much of a conversation. Both of them walked side by side, silently. There is nothing else to do but hold up the cellphone. They did this over and over until there was still no signal.
Both rubbed their foreheads. Irritation can be inferred from Francine's facial expression.
It marched, walking away from its former stand.
Silently, his friend just followed. They reached a quiet hallway, still on the second floor.
The hallway was also dark.
No human beings.
Very quiet.
Only their footsteps can be heard and some old things that occasionally fall off or are damaged.
The two just shrugged their shoulders and continued to lift their phones.
They were about to move again when Francine stopped moving.
She frowned and stared at a part of the hallway where there was a pile of things on the side.
She could not figure out if he had really seen anything or if he was just playing with his imagination.
"Did you see that?" she asked her friend.
When he received no answer from his companion, he turned to look at it. She was so shocked and confused that her friend was no longer behind her.
"Abi?" she calls it.
"Hey, Abi, stop making fun of me. It's not funny; get the hell out, wherever you are hiding! "She shouted loudly but horribly.
Still, no one answered.
Or coming out.
Nobody.
