Chapter. 28. Getting Along.

Aai: "...!...".

Chase and Ben got startled suddenly seeing Aai and she too was surprised but she just didn't think much and walked her way.

Chase: "Hey wait!!".

Aai turned and looked at the two.

Chase: "Amm, could you... this...".

Aai: "....You love each other?".

The two were surprised by the unexpected question.

Aai: "... Hello? I asked you something?".

Chase: "Yeah we do".

Hearing the answer, Aai stayed quiet for a while which was making the two nervous.

Aai: "You better not be fooling around". Saying she began walking away.

Chase: "Hey!?".

Aai just waved her hand and went away.

"What was that?".

Chase and Ben looked at each other, confused.

The next day Chase and Ben were alert to everything. They were cautious of Aai and observed her while Aai simply kept doing her work.

Max: "Hey! You are starting too much".

Chase: "Huh!? Oh!".

Max: "What's the matter? Did she do something...No wait did you do something?".

Chase: ".....".

Max: "Brother as far as I know her, she's not the person to care much about trivial things unless it's something deep, so?". Max was expecting something from Chase.

Chase: "No...it's nothing...".

Max continued doing his work while Chase stood there in thought and looking at Aai.

During spare time, as Aai was on her way to meet Belis, she was stopped by a voice. She turned back and saw Chase running towards her.

Chase: "Huff huff.....wai....". Catching his breath.

Aai: ".... ??... ".

Chase: "Could..Ahem....can we talk?".

The two went to the terrace. Aai was waiting for him to begin but Chase seemed confused as to how to start the conversation.

Aai: "....?say?".

Chase: "Ah! Yeah. It's that...about yesterday...".

Aai: "...Sigh~ listen here. To begin with, your 'Matters' it's not of my concern and if you are worried about me gossiping about that, sorry I would be least interested to do that, so...relax.

Chase: "So...then are you not...like think it's disgusting or find it gross or something?".

Aai: "...What do you wanna me to say?".

Chase: "...!!.. I...". Looking worried and pitiful.

Aai: "...Isn't it enough as long as you two love each other? Do others' opinions really matter?... Well I don't find anything wrong or weird. It's just...I was surprised I would say".

Chase: "....Then....see ya..". Saying he went away.

Aai didn't understand the expression Chase made as she was talking.

After a while of Chase leaving, Belis came to the terrace and saw Aai lying down. As usual, she went to meet her and after spending some time together they went their ways.

At the cafe,

Aai after giving out orders as she returned to the kitchen, a hand landed on her head, "Hey everyone?"

: "Boss!!"

: "Brother!".

Aai: "... !!".

After a long time, Ren returned. Everyone was happy to see him.

Neil: "Boss, how have you been?".

Ren: "I'm good. How's the cafe going?".

Elly: "It's going very well".

Max: "Hey brother, when are you returning?".

Ren: "Soon.."

Aai hearing him felt happy.

Aai: "..!!huh?..". she was confused.

Ren: "Well...how are you doing kid?".

Aai: "I'm fine". Pushing aside his hand from her head, saying she took the order to give out.

When she returns,

Ren: "Hey kid, what are you doing for the annual function?".

Aai: "Ah, Nothing...".

Ren: "Hmm, heard you have joined Max's group?".

Aai looked at Max.

Max: "So brother will you come to see our play?".

Ren: "I can free myself on that day".

Max: "If you come you can see the effort put by a 'Not-interested-in-anything' old lady". He said while glancing at Aai.

Aai: "...Oii what's with that old?".

Max: "Always wearing an uninterested look on the face like an aged person".

Aai: "..Huh?".

Max: "See, you're even having wrinkles here see?". Max kept teasing Aai.

Ren was surprised to see Aai react like that.

Neil and Elly too were surprised to see the two getting along so well.

Elly: "Hey Neil, when did Max start getting along with Aai, to such extend I've never seen Aai like this".

Neil: "Yeah, even I'm surprised....". The two whispered among themselves.

Ren heard them and got up.

As Max was about to touch Aai's face while teasing, Ren put his arm around Aai's neck and pulled her back.

Aai: "..!..".

Max: "..."

Ren: "Hey boy, stop teasing your senior and since when did you start getting along...".

Aai: "We are not...and stop putting your weight on me, you are heavy". She pushed him aside.
