Chapter Two

We finally reached Sarah's place but as usual, She was still asleep as it was her younger brother Mark that opened the door" Hey Mark, why are you not in school"

"I am not feeling well so mom said I could stay home" he replied

"Sure that's not an excuse to avoid Juliet," Lily said

"Nooo, I really am sick" he yelled

"Okay who is lily," I asked

"Don't worry about that and go wake up that log head that is asleep upstairs?" Lily said and shoved me towards the stairs.

I run towards Sarah's room and yanked her awake

" Dude, what the hell, why would you want to wake someone like that" She snorted

"Well I don't wake anyone like that apart from you so love you but you need to get up now so we can head to practice," I say while heading downstairs

"Whatever" she gets up slowly and heads to her bathroom

I head downstairs and sight Lily stuffing her face with a giant muffin"Hey where is mine"

"Coming, here you go, my mum made some before she left for work," Mark said while handing some delicious looking muffins, I sight Sarah making her way downstairs dangling her car keys which meant she was signaling it was time to go

"Hey, Lily her highness is finally ready so get up from that couch and let's go already "Finally" Lily and I head out the front door first as Sarah goes to grab her muffin and a canned soda"

"So Emilia did you have a fight with anyone or what's with the face"Sarah asked me But I didn't exactly have any arguments with anyone just woke up in a foul mood"I did not argue with anyone so don't worry about that" I replied

"Don't worry Sarah she might have rolled out of the wrong side of her bed? "Lily told a worried Sarah "Okay fine I will stop acting like an overprotective mum," She said jokingly but I know Sarah very well once we are alone she will ask me again. Anyway, we are finally on campus so we drop lily off at her dorm while I make my way to cheerleading practice. After what felt like an eternity I am finally done with practice grabbed my bag and pulled out y phone to call Sarah but I have over thirty missed calls from mum so I called her back several times but she doesn't pick up so I check for anything and see that she left voicenotes "Umm Emilia please once you hear this come to Duke University Hospital, mum and dad got into an accident they won't let me see dad but mum is badly bandaged" Leah said and I could hear her faint sobs over the phone, Omg how could I have been so wrapped up in my world?

I call Sarah and tell her where I am headed to and she needs to get there fast and I would explain everything there, upon reaching the hospital "Hello please I am the daughter of Diane and mason Anderson I want to see them where are they"

"Please quiet down there are other patients in here, follow me I will take you to Dr.Matthew miss Anderson" A woman in her late twenties who I recognize to be Miss Joan walked into Mr. Matthew's office "Doctor Miss Anderson is here"

"Emilia, dad won't wake up he did not open his eyes and I am scared," Leah says and I rush over to her "Matthew what happened to our parents," I ask

"Well you see I am really sorry for this but your dad is dead and your mum is currently showing signs of amnesia," He told but it was like a high-pitched ringing was going off in my head as I couldn't hear anything else as everywhere was pitch black.
