Some Legends Reign True

Unbeknownst to those present, everything occurring here was being observed by the Head of the light family.

"What do you think of the child Aioleus?" Adela asked the divine green dragon that had met her in the sky outside of the planets atmosphere.

"His latent potential is unbound, but there is a darkness within him that could grow without proper care and nurturing, I think it was wise of you to make this request of me." Aioleus spoke as its eyes watched carefully as Lucian examined the egg.

"I thought the same, it seems he is one that is able to reawaken memories and abilities of his past lives." Adela spoke causing Aioleus to give her a questioning glance.

"Do you think it is vengeance?" The divine dragon asked the light family head.

"He seems to be more confused than driven for vengeance, nonetheless we can only hope having a partner by his side eases the mental burden he has thrust upon himself." Adela spoke causing the divine dragon Aioleus to nod affirmingly.

"It seems as though they have already shared affinities, I didn't expect the little one to take to him so quickly, I guess it is only a testament to the potential the boy has." Aioleus spoke to which Adela only smiled and watched on with apt curiosity.

Back on the surface once the scales on the egg had changed colors, the egg seemingly disappeared appearing within Lucian's mental space.

Lucian had been slightly excited to swim in the hot springs of the lake but with the developments that had just occurred swimming was the furthest from his mind.

His thoughts raced 'Why would a divine dragon just give me their child? When will the egg hatch? How would people react knowing I have…' before Lucian could continue asking many questions the roar of the growing crowd entered his ears.

The dragons departure alongside peoples chatter continued to draw attention from more and more light family members.

For those that didn't frequent the hot spring they weren't aware of the dragons presence there, most weren't even aware of a divine dragon being on the light family planet with them so it naturally drew the interest and curiosity of many of the light family members.

It was only a legend but the legend was those touched by a divine dragon would reach untold heights, and those who have laid their eyes on a divine dragon would be able to ascend above the skies.

Every light family member had heard this legend as youths as their parents would read them the folktales of the light family.

They had undoubtedly witnessed a dragon flying through the sky, it was unmistakable no matter how briefly they had seen it for.

Its size and majesty was unquestionable, its wings seemed to almost blacken the sky as only its green shimmering radiance outlined it against the white clouds that hung above.

"That boy made a contract with the dragons egg." A male bystander spoke as he pointed towards Lucian speaking to some of the people that had just arrived.

Looks of surprisescould be seen on the newcomers faces as they all quickly spread the word to one another.

Althea had also arrived after seeing the dragon and pushed through the crowd until she stood at the front seeing Lucian almost frozen on the other side of the lake.

As more and more people came the beast that were there began to clear out uncomfortable with being around so many humans, especially with them able to understand the humans excitement and unpredictability in this moment.

Althea ran around the rocky shoreline of the steaming lake and grabbed Lucian's hand, as soon as she came in contact with him they disappeared from the view of everyone present.

Althea dragged the stupefied Lucian bobbing and weaving through the confused crowd until they had arrived at the snowmobile she had rode back over to the lake area.

She hopped on the snowmobile forcing Lucian to get on behind her as she rode away only carrying the gazes of those strong enough to pierce the veil of her illusion.

Some recognized her ability and that is when the realization dawned on them. "Anyone present mustn't tell anyone of these events here today lest you want to be charged with treason against our light family!" one of the senior members spoke.

Just as that family member said that every light family member present recieved a voice transmission from Adela, 'Like with the tournament what happened on the mountain today is confidential, if you feel like you would not be able to keep this to yourself I encourage to visit the headquarters to have your memories of these events erased, however I will not rob you of your memory, some legends reign true whether you know it or not.
