Chapter 1: Y/n and Izuku

*11 years ago- the next day*

After adopting and taking in Y/n as her own, Inko Midoriya took young Izuku and little Y/n bunk bed shopping. Izuku was really excited to have a sibling and has always wondered what it would be like to have a bunk bed. His happy face made Y/n temporarily forget about her mother's death and her father's disappearance.

"Y/n, sweetie. Are you doing alright?" Inko asked, noticing Y/n's blank expression. Y/n immediately snapped out of her gaze and nodded with a soft smile.

"Mhm! Thanks mrs. Inko." Y/n said. Izuku had spotted a bunk bed with all might features carved into the wood and his eyes lit up.

"Mommy! Mommy! Can we get that one?" Izuku asked Inko, bouncing up and down with a wide smile. Inko couldn't resist the adorable look on his face and ended up buying that one.

Y/n had remained cheery and happy, she was only 5 so she couldn't really understand what had happened the previous day. Although thinking about it still made her cry. She started to cry in the car and Inko nearly crashed trying to comfort her. Thankfully Izuku always gave Y/n a warm hug that cheered her up.

After putting the bunk bed together, y/n insisted that Izuku take the bottom bunk so that he wouldn't hurt himself by falling off the top bunk. Izuku protested that he didn't want Y/n to fall and get hurt, so he ended up taking the top bunk.

After Izuku fell off the next few nights, y/n took the top bunk instead.

-the first day of kindergarten-

Y/n was shy and hid behind Izuku. There was a child named Katsuki who they both called kacchan. He was kinda mean to Izuku but y/n stood up for him when Katsuki went too far.

Before Katsuki developed a quirk, he was nice when Izuku got hurt and then that soon changed. Y/n liked to believe that his quirk was pretty but it sometimes scared her. Izuku never stopped talking to kacchan but after most of the children in class developed a quirk, they started to make fun of him. Y/n got over her shyness and stood up for him but would end up getting food thrown at her or they would just ignore her.

-3rd grade-

Everyone had a quirk now, a few hadn't developed yet but that were showing signs. The only kids who hadn't shown a sign of a quirk were y/n and Izuku who had been given the nickname Deku. Y/n was mostly just called loser and weakling.

Izuku then went to the doctor's office. His hopes were shattered after hearing that he will never develop a quirk; however, the doctor did say that little y/n's quirk should have developed already. Y/n then held izuku while he cried.

"It's okay Izu-kun, you can be a hero without a quirk!" Y/n said trying to comfort the boy, his mother wasn't as optimistic and just apologized.
