Chapter Three: Case 0001:

The fly crew rapidly adjusted to their new accommodations and offices.

"We have our own offices as well. This is a fantastic prospect," stated Agent Vash, enthusiastically conversing with his other agents through the radios.

"Yeah, don't get your hopes up; we're probably not going to love it as much," Scott stated bluntly.

"Whoa, Scott, check your pessimistic attitude. We don't need you ruining our good spirits," AJ said, drawing a few laughs from the rest of his colleagues. The alarm went off right then, summoning the personnel and agents to the observation deck, commonly known as the Command Center.

"What do we know?" Special Agent-in-Charge Dana Glesh inquired. Special Agent Dana Glesh is the Command Center's Associate Director of Special Operations.

"Just one explosion. First story, directly on the building's corner," one agent explained.

"What's going on?" Scott wondered, perplexed by the large number of individuals in the command center.

"Hello, Agent Numan. My name is Dana Glesh, and I'm the special operations assistant director. Through the command center, I supply and coordinate operational efforts in the field."

"The Director's orders," Dana stated bluntly, extending her hand. He grasped her hand in his and shook it carefully before releasing it.

"Shut it, Agents!" The Director ordered while driving to the center with a cup of coffee in his hand. He entered a code that made the room dark with a dull red glow.

"XO on board!" Dana yelled. For a brief period, the entire room fell silent and stood at attention. Scott and his crew found this strange. Why would a whole team of FBI agents act as though they were in the military?

"Sir, take a look!" The live video feeds on the screens showed the entire structures collapsing to the ground. They watched, frightened, as people ran and screamed, attempting to find their family and increasingly realizing that they would not return.

"Dana."

"Sir! According to the intel we have so far, the explosion that triggered this is of unknown origin and the apartment building is located in Italy. You will receive the full support of the FBI as well as their nation's top law enforcement agencies aiding you on this," Dana said nonchalantly.

"I want the son of a bitch who did this," Director Norris growled, his voice steely. "Oh, and we're giving your squad a new code name: Bravo. Dismiss," The Director concluded, turning away from the current displays.

Scott, Jane, Vash, and AJ saluted their leader and went to the armory to stock up on FBI standard handguns, AK-45s, and more.
