"Babe, wake up"Elizabeth opened her eyes slowly scanning the whole room when her eyes met with Ciara's.

"You're back, how was your days with your mother?"she sat on the bed. Ciara didn't respond and just stared at her bruised lips before smiling cheekily at her, Elizabeth was confused as to why she was smiling. "What,do i have something on my face?"she said naively, Ciara winked at her confusing her the more.

Why is she acting weird today? she asked herself. She had never seen Ciara act this weird although she can be strange, their has to be some reason why she was smiling.

"What's wrong?".

"Before you slept,did you check yourself in the mirror?"Elizabeth was worried,did something happen to her face?. She rushed to the bathroom and checked the mirror and the next moment,a loud shout was heard in the bathroom.

"That bastard had actually taken advantage of her"she clenched her hands into fist still staring at her swollen lips and bruised chin, she looked like Shrek ogre from the movie Shrek but without the greenish face. But who had brought her home, she must have passed out because she didn't remember what happened next but she had seen Steve knocked down by an unknown man .

"Babe,are you okay in there?"Ciara asked since she hadn't come out, Elizabeth jolted out from her thoughts and walked meekly to the room, she knew very well that Ciara will surely make fun of her, biting her lips which made her wince in pain as she licked it.

"So,who was the lucky person that dared to disvirgin your beautiful lips?"Ciara playfully asked with eyes full of amusement, Elizabeth had finally kissed a guy, she wonders how depressed Jeff will be when he finds out that he wasn't the one to disvirgin her lips.

"When did you get back?"Elizabeth asked to divert the topic, she sat on the bed. Ciara didn't probe on the topic anymore,it looks like she thought about something because her cheeks were stained with scarlet red.

"How was your trip to your mom's place?"She asked again.

"It was fine, she had actually sent me on a blind date".

"Then why are you blushing?, it's not like you kissed him on your first day"Ciara blushed again and that was the only answer she needed to figure out that she had kissed a complete stranger.

"You actually kissed him"Elizabeth gasped at her new discovery.

"And he followed me"she didn't need any more explanation to know that the he was Maverick.

Elizabeth phone rang, she looked at the id caller and saw Overbearing boss, that's what she used to save his number, she accepted the call and turned on the speaker.

"Hi Mr boss"she said,he heard her weak voice and held his chest, what's this feeling?. It was like he was feeling her pain from the other side,he was quiet for a long time making Elizabeth to cough akwardly.

"I called to ask how you're doing?."he broke out of his train of thoughts. "Am fine,thank you for bringing me home"although she wasn't sure if he's the one that brought her home.

"You're welcome,get well soon and get checked for any internal or external injuries"he spoke with extreme tenderness and care that can't be mistaken.

"I'll do so Mr boss."She said but didn't hang up, but of them felt like they didn't want the conversation to end but they had nothing to talk about until Ciara broke their comfortable silence by disconnecting the call.

"What was that for?"Elizabeth asked a little bit enraged.

"Have my adorable baby finally learnt what it means to fall in love".

"Stop spouting non-sense"she hissed taking off her clothes and entering the bathroom.

"Focus on your heart, not your mind"Ciara said speaking no more and walking out.

Elizabeth entered the bathroom, cleansing herself mostly her lips although it hurts, she just wanted to get it clean, the more she thought about the assault, the more she wants to get rid of her lips. Everything about him irritates her, even his mere name makes her disgusted.
