"THE THORN ROSE PRICK,"
Hei Bao walked next to Cheung Qi's side and sat on an empty seat as he approached Cheung Qi and Chu Yan's table.
"There's a cafeteria inside my building," Hei Bao said after sitting down.
"Yeah, I know," Cheung Qi replied, not looking at Hei Bao as he continued digging into his food.
"How come you want to eat here?" Hei Bao inquired.
"Chu Yan invited me," Cheung Qi responded, causing Chu Yan to choke on her food and stare up at Cheung Qi with wide eyes.
Cheung Qi rushed to give her water as soon as he noticed her struggles, while Hei Bao sat there minding his own business, unconcerned about what was going on between the two.
'Is this m*therf*ck*r trying to blame me?' Chu Yan pondered.
"Please eat slowly, my love," Cheung Qi said as he patted Chu Yan on the back.
"Get your hands off me, hemp!" Chu Yan shook off Cheung Qi's hand on her back and resumed drinking water.
Chu Yan drank a full glass of water for nearly a minute before nervously turning to Hei Bao, who was still minding his own business, and saying to Cheung Qi.
"Who the hell kept bugging me to come here?" Chu Yan gritted her teeth while maintaining her smile which made Cheung Qi felt wrong and pressured.
"I take it back, My Lord, it was me who dragged Chu Yan here," Cheung Qi admitted.
" Em. Right," Chu Yan agreed sharply before turning nervously to face Hei Bao.
Hei Bao looks at Cheung Qi, then at Chu Yan, then back at Cheung Qi, unintentionally exerting considerable pressure on the two individuals.
Chu Yan gulped hard, feeling Hei Bao's steel gaze, a person who was unaware of his own expression.
Hei Bao caught a glimpse of her and noticed her nervousness in addition to the awkwardness that had now spread around them; the atmosphere around them bothered him, and he couldn't help but sigh as he inquired curiously to Cheung Qi.
"Why?"
"Why, of course, to take her on a date," Cheung Qi replied, sheepishly smiling. He then turned to face Chu Yan, whose face had turned bright red.
Cheung Qi couldn't help but smile when he saw this, then returned his attention to Hei Bao before speaking.
"Anyway, the truth is that I chose this location since I also wanted to see it for myself," Cheung Qi explained, drawing Hei Bao's sharp attention to him.
Hei Bao finally understood what Cheung Qi was talking about after seeing his serious façade. He set his utensils down and looked over the counter, where he saw Hao Mingyu serving customers with a pure smile, before moving his gaze to the other side and spotting Lianhua.
A flashback to what had happened that night when he went to Lianhua's unit rushed inside him, catching him off guard.
The other day, Hao Mingyu and Lianhua were talking outside the room, unaware of the other person's thoughts inside the room.
Hei Bao took his time looking around the room, attempting to divert his attention away from the two-person conversation outside the room. Since he is a wolf, he has such sharp hearing senses, he could not help but hear the siblings brotherly conversation.
He tried to ignore or block them, but no matter how hard he tried, the mention of vampires made his ears prickle.
Hei Bao accidentally bumped into Lianhua's study table as he walked back into the bed to sit, causing the other items to fall to the floor and making a loud thud sound inside the room, drawing attention from the outside of the room.
Hei Bao panicked for a second, blaming his bulky body and enormous height, but he was able to think for a second as a result.
He opened the window to make it appear that it was due to the wind in a hurry, then ran inside the bathroom to hide in silence.
After one second, he heard the sound of someone opening the room's door and a chattering inside the bedroom. Hei Bao breathed a sigh of relief and couldn't help but think.
'Did they both know about supernatural beings?'
Could it be...
No, it's not possible.
They are only ordinary people.
It does not match in terms of timing.
Hei Bao's thoughts were interrupted when he heard the clanging of the window being closed by someone with a soft and light felt hand.
To be continued.
