Chapter 77

Harry and Sirius are currently with Ragnuk to discuss the cursed locket they found in the Black Manor. At the same time, Narcissa and Andromeda went shopping to buy clothes and other necessary items as she currently has nothing except for the clothes she is wearing, and she doesn't want to go back and take her old things which were given to her by Lucius.

He has given her total control over the Slytherin vault to spend the money from it as she is a Lady Slytherin now.

Ragnuk asks him about the cursed locket for which he is here.

"Harry, can you show me the cursed locket you talked about so that we can identify it."

"Here it is."

Harry said as he paced the cursed locket on the table.

Ragnuk and Griphook looked at the letter for some time and tried to figure out where they had seen it before. They didn't pick up the locket as they were not sure about the curse on the locket.

Ragnuk called a cure breaker to the room to look at the locket, while Griphook went to find out more about the locket as it did not look like a simple locket.

After some time, a small Goblin enters the room, and with him, there is a wizard who is probably in his mid-40s, who also enters just after him. He greets Ragnuk first, and after that, he greets Harry and Sirius.

"I am Christos Elias, Gringotts Cursebreaker."

"Hello, Mr. Elias, I am Harry Potter, and he is my godfather, Lord Sirius Black."

"You don't look like you are from Britain."

"No, I am not from Britain. I am from Greece."

After their introduction, Ragnuk tells him the object he has to identify.

"Here is the cursed locket which you have to find out which cursed was present on it."

After that, he started to check the locket by using multiple spells, and after trying a few dozen charms, he turned toward them and spoke in a concerned voice.

"King Ragnuk, it is not a simply cursed locket is a Horcrux."

After he said this, Griphook entered the room with parchment in his hand, and as he came close to them, he told them what he had found out about this locket.

"The locket is one of the treasures of the Gaunt family and was made by Salazar Slytherin. After the Slytherin line ended, it passed to the Gaunt family."

When Griphook said this, he was sure that this was Voldemort's Horcrux.

"That means it is Voldemort's Horcrux."

"Mr. Elias, I want you to remove the cursed soul from it."

Ragnuk said to Mr. Elias, and he replied.

"I am sorry, King Ragnuk, I can't do this."

"Why?"

"The soul is in the depth of the locket instead and not on the surface, so I am unable to interact with it. The only other option is to break the locket, but it is also not possible as it is protected so it will not break by various runes, which I have never seen before."

Harry doesn't know what to do. He has to destroy this Horcrux to kill Voldemort completely.

"There has to be some way to get rid of this locket."

Sirius said.

"I have to talk with some other wizards or witches to see if they have any idea about these runes. The only rune I can understand on this locket is the rune to set the password on the door or trunks. They normally can't be broken without any severe drawbacks."

While others are discussing with each other, Harry is trying to figure out the password Salazar Slytherin used to protect the locket. Suddenly he realized something, parseltongue. Slytherin probably used parseltongue as a password, just like he did with the entrance of the Chamber of Secrets.

Harry is not one hundred percent sure about this, but he wants to try his theory about parseltongue, so he asked Mr. Elias about this.

"Mr. Elias, I think the password is in the parseltongue."

Elias looked at his face as if he did not understand how he had come to this.

"Can you elaborate on it more, Mr. Potter?"

Harry then explains to him his theory.

"Salazar Slytherin made a chamber in Hogwarts known as the Chamber of Secrets. No one can find where it is, and even though someone knows where it is, it can only be open if they speak in Parseltongue."

Mr. Elias nods his head understanding the possibility of what he is saying.

"Now I see how you come up with this, but there is still a problem. I don't know anyone who can speak parseltongue in Britain or any other country in Europe. We might be able to find someone in India, but it will take a lot of time."

"No, you don't have to contact anyone as I can speak parseltongue."

Mr. Elias is quite shocked by this news about how he had never heard of Harry Potter being a parseltongue.

"I am sorry, Heir Potter. I never heard about you being parseltongue."

"I am sure it will be public news in the coming future. So can I try?"

"Yes, you can."

Mr. Elias permits him to believe that even though this theory is wrong, it doesn't have any consequences as the locket will only react after the correct password. Otherwise, it is not going to react.

~Open~

Harry said in parseltongue. He said it exactly as he did before in front of the sink tap in the second-floor girls' bathroom to open the tunnel of the chamber of secrets.

The locket is open, and suddenly he sees the death of Sirius, Moony, Andromeda, Ted, Nymphadora, Hermione, Daphne, Tracey, and Susan, in front of him by Voldemort, and he is unable to do anything. He started to tremble in fear of what he saw.

When Sirius sees this, he throws the locket out of Harry's hand and hugs him tightly.

"It is not real, Heir Potter. Horcrux is just trying to protect itself by showing your fear to you so that you can't destroy it."

Mr. Elias explains so that Harry can calm down.

Suddenly, they saw a phoenix appear in the room with a sword. Harry knows this sword as he kills a freaking basilisk with this.

He started to gather his courage while ignoring all the things the Horcrux tried to show him. He takes the sword from the Fawkes and slashes it on the locket, shattering it into pieces and destroying the soul within it.

Mr. Elias, Remus, and Ragnuk look towards him as he is petting Fawkes.

"Thank you for your help, Fawkes."

He said to the phoenix while petting his head.
