Fate/Juggernaut

The Prologue rewrite is now out! Please remember that this is an A.U, and I am a brand new "author" as this is my first story. To preface this book, I would like to go over some things before we begin. Artoria will have her identity hidden from everyone, except Godrick (mc), Mordred, Morgan, Merlin, and Viviane. To make it easy on myself, she will be wearing her "Lion king armor", and her helmet will distort her voice, that way keeping her identity hidden. (Prologue) Another Major change that I'll be making is with Alaya, the Root, and Gaia. Alaya will be the collective consciousness of humanity (which is canon). But, in my story she will have more of a personality and ego, and will be subject to corruption through human emotions like Greed, Envy, Pride, and things like that. The Root will be a dormant consciousness meaning that it will be depicted as a female who runs the universe (kinda like toaa, or the presence from Marvel and DC) but is asleep for some unknown reason. Gaia is the will of the planet, that will do anything to survive. I know this might be contrary to Fate Canon, but I promise, it will work out! Please at least give it a chance! Other than a couple things here and there, I think I've covered most of the things that I've changed. Thank you so much for reading, and I hope that you enjoy my novel! In this novel, we will be introduced to a new timeline. A new Artoria who is a mixture of her Goddess Rhongomyniad "form" and the normal Artoria. As well as a new Britain. In this timeline, a new menace has risen to destroy the whole of Britain, and thus Artoria goes on a campaign of war to kill this new mysterious Warlord. In doing so, she reunites with her estranged sister Morgan, who has had a change of heart seeing the land she owns raped, burned, and pillaged. The two of them, though still cold towards each other, resolve their differences for the time being, though Morgan still seeks to usurp the Throne from Artoria for a while. Morgan conceives Mordred, but instead of a homunculus she is born as a human. The story begins when Artoria finds a strange young boy, having been chained to a large stone, and whipped by the Warlord. She takes the boy in, and raises him as her own alongside Mordred. This is his story. The story of Godrick, the Knight of Ruin. I do not own anything, or anyone from the animes, novels, or series that take place in this fanfic

Chapter 25

===Godrick===

Godrick entered his room and sat on one of the chairs to think about what had happened earlier. The group had walked back to the castle, and when they had arrived, Fiore had shown Kairi a room he could use.

The room was a couple doors down from Godrick's room, giving Mordred easy access if she needed.

A knock at the door woke him from his thought, and that same person walked in.

"You busy?" She asked. Godrick motioned her over to sit, which she did.

"I'm not sure how we are going to speak to each other since Jeanne isn't here, but I'm sure we will manage.' She said with a slight chuckle.

"Before we talk about what I came here for, um… what the hell!?" She spat at him. He held his hands to the side as if you ask "what did I do?", to which she furrowed her eyebrows.

"You hit me with a freaking tree, and you have to gall to-" She mirrored his motion, holding her hands out, with a poor imitation of his facial expression.

"I thought Artoria and Lancelot taught you to fight with a halberd, not a damn tree!" She shouted at him.

"Do you know how much that hurt? because if not I'm certainly willing to give it a try!" She said, holding a fist up as if to hit him. He just smiled and shook his head at her. "Of course you don't even care." She said with a defeated huff. "Do you even feel pain anymore?" She asked. He nodded to her.

"If you weren't such a wuss, you might actually have put up a fight!" He signed to her knowing full well she wouldn't understand.

"Anyway, enough of that." She said relaxing back into her chair before continuing.

"Alright. I wanna see it." She said, looking at him. He looked at her confused, before she continued. "Come on, whip it out." Godrick just shook his head, not sure what she was referring to.

"Holy crap, are you deaf as well? Show it to me. I know it's gotta be big, and I didn't get to see it before they burned your body." She told him.

He continued to shake his head, unsure of what she wanted of him.

"Come on, I can see the tip of it right now!" She shouted to him, pointing to his chest. He looked down to see the tip of a scar on his chest was barely showing under his low cut shirt. He placed a hand on his heart as if to calm himself, and with a slight chuckle he signed to her, knowing she wouldnt understand.

"You almost gave me a heart attack."

He pulled down his shirt a little more so she could see the large scar from the blow that had killed him.

"I don't know what you just signed or whatever you call it, but DAMN that must have hurt." She exclaimed as she looked at the scar. It was roughly in the shape of a diamond, mirroring the shape of Clarent.

"Did you know that each servant has the scar that caused their death?" She asked him. "Or at least that's what my master told me, he might be wrong." She said standing and lifting her shirt to show her stomach.

She patted her toned abs as she showed him her own.

"Yeah, got that one from Artorias spear. Hurt like hell." The scar was faint, barely noticeable, but it was there nonetheless. Godrick leaned in closer to get a better look. He hadn't thought about it, but he should have the same scar on his back, just shifted a little bit as Clarent Had missed his spine.

He stood up and reached above his head to his back while grabbing his shirt. With one motion he pulled it off over his head, then went to a large mirror that was in his room already. He turned around to look at the scar, and sure enough, it was even larger than the one on his front. He assumed it was larger, due to the fact that he had moved around and Clarent had shifted about while still stabbed inside him.

Suddenly the door opened and Jeanne walked into the room carrying a tray with a pitcher of water, as well as some glasses. The moment she saw Godrick, she dropped the tray, letting the glass shatter.

Both Godrick and Mordred turned to her, as she reluctantly tore her eyes from Godrick before looking downwards to the mess that had been made.

"I'm terribly sorry!" She said kneeling down and picking up the shards of glass. Godrick And Mordred both moved, with Mordred kneeling down as well to pick up the glass, while Godrick walked to his bathroom to grab a towel for the water.

He came back out and joined the others, kneeling down to clean the mess before the three of them finally stood up.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt you two. I'll come back in a while." Jeanne said, turning away from them.

"It's no big deal, I've just got to talk to my dult of a brother about something. I'll send him your way when we're done." Mordred said to her. Jeanne nodded before stealing one final glance at Godrick before leaving the room.

"Are you stupid?" Mordred asked seriously. Godrick looked down at her with his eyebrows furrowed before she spoke one more. "You must be stupid. How can you not tell she's interested in you?"

Godricks mouth fell open before signing to her.

"how am I supposed to know if she is interested in me? I've spent my whole life killing, not flirting if you need to be reminded!" He signed aggressively.

"whoa there big guy, remember, I can't understand any of that stuff ok? Alls I'm sayin is that you should at least ask her out on a date. What's the worst that could happen, she says no?" She told him, then furrowed her eyebrows.

"She says no, then you're stuck in a super awkward situation where you're forced to be together all day, everyday for however long this Grail war lasts." She said to no one in particular.

Godrick thought about her words for a moment before Making his decision. He had been interested in Jeanne from the moment he had seen her. She was beautiful, smart, strong, and he assumed she would be funny in the right situation. She was incredibly easy to talk to, and she always made him feel like his opinion mattered. As he thought more about it, he understood that she is definitely a one in a billion catch.

He thought back on what his sister had said. Was she really interested in him? The thought gave him butterflies.

They had only known each other for about a week, but there was no harm in asking.

Nodding his head he put his shirt back on and tucked it into his pants, then walked out of his room. Mordred followed him out, then walked the opposite way to her own room.

===Jeanne===

Quickly walking out of the room, Jeanne made her way to her own room. She left the door open a small bit, but not all the way before walking to her bathroom. She ran the hot water and cupped her hands underneath it before splashing it on her face. She did this multiple times before she got a towel and dried her face. Grabbing the sink on either side she looked at her reflection in the mirror.

"Laetitia, can you please try and control your emotions a little bit better?" She asked the mirror.

The eyes that looked back at her blinked when hers didn't.

"What do you mean?" The face in the mirror asked.

"Your attraction to Godrick is spilling over into my own emotions." She said to the girl in the mirror.

Her reflection started to laugh, and laugh, as if she had heard a joke before calming herself.

"Oh my dear Saint." the reflection said with a chuckle.

"I must admit, I find him desirable, but those emotions you're feeling… they're all yours."

Jeanne looked at the reflection with a mixture of emotions. She felt confused, happy, and a little scared.

Confusion because she had never felt this way towards anyone before. She felt butterflies in her stomach when they were together, and desired to continue spending time with him. But she also thought of the future. This holy Grail war would end, then what would happen?

Happiness because she now knew these emotions were hers, and hers alone. In the books she had read as a girl, she knew that feelings like these led to other feelings, and she could experience them all.

Fear because she was a Saint. Was she even allowed to feel these emotions? What would happen if she continued with what she was feeling? Would she have her status as Saint revoked?

A knock from the door drew her out of her thoughts as she looked into the mirror one more time. Her reflection gave her a dazzling smile, then winked at her.

"Good luck!" Laetitia told her. Jeanne walked from the bathroom before telling her visitor to enter.

Godrick opened the door and lowered his head to get into the room. He gave Jeanne his best smile, then asked her the question he had been agonizing over ever since he first met her.

"Would you maybe like to go on a date with me?" He signed to her.

Her mind blanked for a moment as the words went in one ear, and out the other.

"Could you repeat that?" She asked.

"Would you like to go on a date? With me?" Godrick signed.

"Um… I would love to!" She said energetically.

===Godrick===

Godrick Had asked Jeanne to go on a date with him the night before. They had agreed to go today, so they would be leaving for the city in an hour or so.

He had gone back to his room after talking with Jeanne some more, but wasn't able to fall asleep. Mainly because he was a heroic spirit, who didn't need to sleep at all, but also because his mind was running at a million miles an hour. After a while he had just gotten up and found Siegfried. The two had a friendly sparring match to pass the time.

He didn't know that Jeanne felt the same way. She had tossed and turned the whole night, unable to sleep, or keep the smile from her face.

This morning, Godrick was off to find Fiore. Their date had one slight problem. Money. They didn't have any, and the town would require it from them.

He found her in her study, and after knocking, he was told he could go in.

"Oh Godrick, it's nice to see you! What can I help you with?" She said. She was sitting at her table that was scattered with papers, and he noticed her hands were stained with ink. Chiron stood behind her, attentive as ever. Godrick nodded to the man, then turned his attention to the girl.

"I was wondering if you might have some spare money that I could have." He signed to her. "I've asked Jeanne on a date, and the city will require money."

She looked at him with a smile before turning to Chiron.

"Seems he finally figured it out." She said to her servant.

"That he did my lady, and It seems I must seek out Siegfried. He owes me a couple coins." Chiron said in a jovial voice.

"Was I really the only one that didn't notice?" Godrick signed to them.

"Yes." The two said in unison.

Fiore rolled her chair back a little bit to open one of the drawers of her desk.

"Here," She said, putting an envelope onto the desk. "all the money you'll need is in that envelope." She said with a smile.

Godrick took the envelope and signed "thank you!" She just gave him another smile.

"You're welcome. Have fun, I hope you have a wonderful time. There is a shop that sells great hot chocolate. You'll have to try it." She told him the address of the coffee shop, then watched him walk away.

After a minute she turned to her servant. "Did you really make a bet with Siegfried?" She asked. "I did. He said that it would have happened earlier this week, and I said it would happen later in the week." He said as he smiled down at her.

"Darn it. I should have gotten in on that." she said with a slight pout. "Don't worry my lady. It's all your money in the first place." He said, wheeling her out of the room.

"You bet with my money!" She asked incredulously. "But of course, we don't have any money of our own." He said cheerfully. "I can't believe you!" She said while folding her arms, trying to feign irritation.
