Fate/Grand War

For the past 200 years, there has been a "Holy War" every 20 years between the three founding families. The war is not fought by armies but instead by 7 Masters who lead Servants under them. The war shall decide which family gets contested land, and rare resources, and settles any other disputes. But that last war took place 30 years ago due to the peace agreement between the 3 founding families. Together, they have laid claim to the Holy Grail and used its power for their own purpose. Now they must deal with other threats. The Clocktower, rogue mages. Singularities, The Beasts. The 3 families must use their 7 Masters and their Mastery over the grail to repel them all. This is the story of the 7th Master, Jonah Einzbern, and his 7 Servants as they make a name for themselves. But first things first, he needs to actually contract with more than 2 Servants. (Note: 5.5 of the Servants are custom ones that I created. Only 1.5 are canon Servants.)

Paris Holy Grail War Conclusion

(Well no one guessed it fast enough but I'm bored and wanted to post another chapter. So let's just say that Ozymandius giving me a powerstone is the reason.)

Ruler stood next to the Lesser Holy Grail with surprise on his face. Even though he knew that this war would be won by the Three Family Alliance, he did not expect their candidate to win so swiftly.

"It seems that there will be a Major Singularity soon. The current generation of Masters from the Three Families might just be too powerful for anyone to suppress."

Ruler simply shrugged his shoulders as he thought of that. Even though the Holy Grail was harsh, it was fair. It never gave a challenge that couldn't be overcome. Only ones that would balance the power between both sides. Like how it did not allow the 3 families to choose true Divine Spirits as their Servants but still gave a chance for the other Masters in the wars to do so.

Ruler turned to see the doors of the church opening. He saw Jonah walk in with both of his Servants flanking him. And behind them were the dead bodies of mages that were guarding the church that the Mages Association sent in case they lost.

"My, my. Jonah Einzbern. What a surprise to see you come back so soon. It was only yesterday morning that you arrived in the city to declare your participation."

Jonah nodded at Ruler but didn't really acknowledge him. His job was to make sure the war was fair and protect the grail until the winner got their wish. There was no need for Jonah to be nice, especially since Jonah never got along with nosey people like him.

"Hmm. You still do not like me, Jonah? Is it because I found out about..."

"Archer!"

An arrow whizzed through the air and struck the place where Ruler was just standing. Holmes was standing merely a foot away from his original position.

"Did you really think that you would strike me, Hou Yi?"

"If I was truly trying to kill you, I would have no issue with that, Holmes. I was simply shutting you up for my Master's sake."

Holmes smiled but didn't continue talking. If it was any other Master, he would continue teasing them but since he was dealing with an Einzbern homunculus that had near-unlimited mana, he knew better than to try his luck.

Berserker and Jonah sat on the front row of the church seats while Hou Yi walked up the steps before picking up the Lesser Holy Grail. The silver cup radiated pure magical energy from it. Archer put the grail near his mouth before whispering his wish into it.

"I wish for my wife to join the Throne of Heroes."

A large explosion of mana emerged from the grail. This energy blew the roof off the church before traveling further into the sky until it reached the moon. Moments later, a small orb that could fit in one's palm came down through the hole in the roof. The orb floated in front of Hou Yi's face before it turned into motes of light that vanished into who-knows-where.

With the wish granted, the grail that was once filled with magical power became nothing more than a really nice cup. Ruler that was summoned to protect the grail also disappeared and returned to the Throne of Heroes. Hou Yi passed the grail to Jonah and smiled at him.

"Thank you for allowing me this wish, Master."

"It's fine. I don't really have anything that I want besides some more exciting days. And as long as I am a Master, that will happen."

Berserker smiled when he heard Jonah say that. This was one of the reasons he loved the kid so much. The boy had no real goals so he was willing to support the goals of others.

With the conclusion of the war, Jonah went to the airport to board a plane to return home. Jonah looked out the window while thinking about the composition of the Servants that he would be summoning.

'I have the most balanced group out of everyone but I also have the most problem children. Hopefully, I will get to live to see tomorrow.'

The rules that the 3 Great Families had to follow when summoning their Servants were pretty simple. They had to follow only 3 rules.

1st: They could not summon any Divine Spirits. This meant any Servants that had Divine Cores to them or were considered true gods.

2nd: They could only summon 3 Knight Class Servants. This meant they could summon 3 Saber, 3 Lancer, 3 Archer, or any mixture of these classes, but they could only summon 3 at most from them. The others would have to be Servants from the Four Cavalry or the Extra classes. They could also choose to get all their Servants from the Cavalry or Extra classes if they so chose.

3rd: They could not summon Ruler or Avenger Servants. Both of these classes were forbidden.

Besides these 3 rules, the 3 Great Families could summon any other Servant in the Throne of Heroes that existed there. And that was a bit of an issue. Because while each Master was smart, many of them had weird personalities.

Rin Tohsaka, the 5th Master, loved Saber Servants. All of her Servants were either of the Saber class or should have qualified for Saber Class but were another class for a different reason.

Even Jonah's older brother who was the 4th Master had something about Rider Servants so all of his Servants were either of the Rider Class or had a powerful mount such as his Lancer Servant, Artoria.

Jonah didn't have a favorite Servant Class but most of the Servants he had chosen had weird abilities that made them very difficult to use under most circumstances or terrible personalities. Or both. Hou Yi would be an excellent example of weird abilities.

Even though he was a powerful Archer, his main Noble Phantasm was really lackluster unless it was up against fire or sun noble phantasms such as Piedra Del Sol. Besides those circumstances, the power exhibited is only slightly above his normal attacks but uses much more mana.

After a long flight, the plane finally landed in Fuyuki city. When he got off the plane, both of his private maids were waiting for him in front of a limousine. Each of the women was of homunculus like himself and also had the signature white hair and red eyes.

"2nd Young Lord. Your mother and the Patriarch are waiting for you at the mansion."

"Ok. I'll go visit them after I summon my Servants."

The pair nodded before walking to the front of the car and getting into the driver and passenger seats. Jonah got into the back seat with Hou Yi and Berserker. Next stop, Ryuudou Temple.
