Chapter Four

As days turn to weeks, and weeks to months, and slowly a year as past. Excited about the new semester because it was the last semester of our lives at Sterling University as we are in our " Final Year" at the university.

" I can't believe that this is our last semester at this university ". Rose said as we entered the Department of History for the history lecture.

" yeah, I'm so gonna miss our lecturers, they have been so helpful". I said

" I can't believe that I'll miss Mr. Kim and his bias behavior ". Rose whispered so that no one would hear her. But we laughed out loud as it echoes in the hallway.

" This semester is the last one of your lives as Sterling students," Mr. Kim said. " And I'm proud to have taught this brilliant class ". He said. The whole class vibrated with claps of their hands as they cheered him.

" Although not every one of you is brilliant, there are some empty brains that still surprisingly managed to pass every exam". He jokingly said.

Everyone laughed at his joke and was surprising because he had never been jovial since we were freshmen.

As the laughter continued, the Vice Chancellor walked into the lecture hall, and a strange silence consumed the air.

"Good day students". He said with a strict tone.

" Good day, Vice-Chancellor". The class chorused.

" I believe that you all know that this is your last semester as a student at this university". He said.

" This semester, all of you would be transferred to Yeotan University in Gwangju".

"There you will have deep knowledge of Gwangju's history, and also gives you a chance to explore one of the best and oldest university in this country". He added. The students murmured to themselves as they were shocked by the news.

" I have spoken to all your professors and lecturers and they agreed to it". He concluded.

The Course Representative raised his hand as a way of asking a question. The vice Chancellor permitted him.

" Thank you for giving us this opportunity, but is it just for history classes?" he asked. " what about the English lectures and other important courses that we must attend?". He said looking worried.

" Yeotan University is very happy to welcome you into their institution, your lectures will commence there, and not just history, but other courses in total." " so you don't have to worry, everything is going to be okay". The Vice-Chancellor said smiling.

" You are going there as Sterling Scholars, show them which university you came from with your intelligent academics and brain-storming ideas. Make us proud my students". he encouraged us.

The whole class couldn't hold back but clap and cheer for the vice-chancellor.

"We are!! Sterling!! we are!! Sterling!!!" The class cheered.

" I can't wait to go to Yeotan University!" Rose said with excitement as we ate dinner in my apartment.

" I just did some research about them, and it is listed as the 4th best university in the country!" I said looking at my phone.

" Wow, I can't believe that we're going there". I said as I put in a spoonful of rice in my mouth.

" This is the first time that Sterling University is doing this, this is going to be a semester to remember ". Rose said raising her glass of Soju as a toast.

And she was right, it was a semester that would be remembered. Two lives will meet, both from different worlds but has one fate.
