Chapter 1 – My Isekai Dream Come True

Unknown Time, Unknown Place

"You know," I started as I put down a cup of coffee on a wooden desk, "I've read about situations like this one, but I never thought I'd ever experience it."

The person sitting across the desk from me shrugged before replying, "I have come to learn that, when you least expect something to happen, it will somehow happen."

"I can agree with that, but this…" I gesture between me, the man across from me, and the office that we are currently having our conversation at; a perfect replica of the Hokage's office from the time when Tsunade Senju took the position in Naruto. "It is quite out of the left-field for me. I am – was nobody in life. Why give me the chance to experience the life of a Gamer Isekai character, Mr. TM11?"

The Random Omnipotent Being known as TM11 shrugged again as he reclined on the Hokage's chair, "I was bored and wanted to give this theme a try. Everyone and their mother are doing it, so why not add my own attempt to the pile?" His eyes – the color of which kept shifting every time he blinked – then locked on with my green ones. "As for why I chose you, Elias Xavier? Well, to be honest, I ran the Gacha and you were the one to come out."

I rose an eyebrow at that. "Really?"

"Yep," TM11 confirmed with a nod. "Now, let's get on with this. I have more worlds to watch over. Here you go." He then snapped his fingers and a window screen appeared in front of me.

Welcome! You have been chosen as the Host of the Gamer System!

Skill Gained

[Gamers Mind] (Passive): Allows the user to calmly and logically think things through. It allows a peaceful state of mind. Grants Immunity to psychological status effects.

Skill Gained

[Gamers Body] (Passive): Grants a body that allows for the user to live real life like a game.

Skill Gained

[Observe] (Active): Provides information on the target: their name, their level, their stats, their thoughts about the user, and their current emotional state.

Skill Gained

[ID Create] (Active): Allows the user to enter a pocket dimension created by the Game, classified as a 'dungeon'. There are four types of dungeons available.

[Normal Dungeons], [Horde Dungeons], [Instant Action Dungeons], and [Challenge Dungeons].

Skill Gained

[ID Escape] (Active): Allows the user to escape a dungeon. If the player uses this skill without finishing the dungeon, it will count as them failing to complete the dungeon. This does not apply to Normal Dungeons, where the player can enter and leave at their leisure without fear of failing the dungeon.

Skill Gained

[Message] (Active): Allows the user to send a telepathic message to a member of his party. This skill counts Summoned NPCs as party members.

Skill Gained

[Skill Creation] (Active): Allows the user to create skills of their own if they have the pre-requisite knowledge and proficiencies for them.

Looking at the notifications of the skills that I've just gained and what they do, I couldn't help but smile. I've spent over half a decade reading manga, fanfiction, and watching anime, and, out of all of the genres around, the Isekai genre is the one that I've come to enjoy the most. To be able to experience an Isekai adventure is a dream come true; more so when I'll be experiencing this adventure as a Gamer, my favorite theme ever since I discovered it.

Glad to be of help, Partner.

I'm Yugi, the A.I. created by TM11 to run and manage your Gamer System!

'Nice to meet you, Yugi.' I told my new partner while mentally rolling my eyes at how TM11 named my Gamer A.I. 'Game'.

Nice to meet you as well. And I yeah, I know; not the most creative when it comes to naming things, is he?

At any rate, let's start your character customization.

Right now the only race available to you is [Human], so here you go.

[Human]: You are a human; just a regular boring human. Humans are the jack of all trades, master of fuck all. Gain 25% bonus class EXP.

Huh. Not bad, all things considered. At least I'll be able to grind relatively fast.

I'm glad to see that you can see the good side of things.

Now, please select a Job Class.

[Fighter] [Archer] [Mage] [Healer] [Rogue]

Now, I've never played an RPG before, but I've read and watched enough Isekai stories to know that Mage is the best class to start with.

You have chosen [Mage] as your Job Class!

Please select your specialization.

[Elemental Mage] [Illusionist] [Enchanter] [Summoner] [Necromancer]

You know, I'm tempted to choose either Elemental Mage or Necromancer. Thinking better on it, though, I choose neither. I'm the kind of person that only fights if I know that I can win, so a class that lets me summon an army to my side is a better option than one that forces me to fight myself. However, I don't know what kind of world I'm going to be sent to first, and I don't think TM11 is gonna tell me either. Turning enemies to allies is an idea that appeals to me, but I most likely will need to gather corpses to summon my Undead, which will be a chore and quite hard if I'm sent to a modern world. That, plus the fact that I may have to hide my status as a Necromancer depending on the world that I'm sent to first makes this class not a good one to start with. With all of this in mind, I choose Summoner.

Class Gained

[Summoner] – Level 1/50 [0%]: Gain 5 INT and WIS every level.

Skill Gained

[Summon Elemental] (Active): Summon an Elemental to fight for you. You can only have 1 Elemental for every 5 INT. Elementals can be dismissed and summoned at will.

Elementals Available

[Volcanic Shell] [Dust Devil] [Charcoal Inpachi] [Jade Golem]

Skill Gained

[Reinforce Summon] (Active): Costs 40 MP per target. Reinforce your summons by sharing your mana with them. It cannot be used on yourself or non-Summons. Boost the STR, DEX, or END of the target by 10% for one minute.

Hm, not bad. I can work with this. Though I find it interesting that two of my summons are monsters from Yugioh.

For being the first host of the Gamer System patronized by TM11, you have been offered a unique skill.

Unique Skill Gained

[Magical Energy Manipulation]: This skill allows you to generate and shape your magical energy as raw energy attacks.

Proficiency Gained

[Mana Control Proficiency] (Novice): You are a novice at controlling the power within yourself and bending it to your will. MP cost of spells is increased by 20%.

'Ok. That's…interesting.' I commented mentally to Yugi. The ability to control my mana the same way Gwen Tennyson did in Ben 10: Alien Force and onwards is very useful. I will have to grind that proficiency up fast if I want to get rid of that added cost to my spells, though. 'Hey, what about the proficiencies that I accumulated during my first life?'

Don't worry. Here you go.

Proficiency Gained

[Literature Proficiency (Apprentice)] (Passive): You have the skill to read and write with few errors.

Proficiency Gained

[English Language (Expert)] (Passive): You are a natural with the English Language.

Proficiency Gained

[Chemistry Proficiency (Apprentice)] (Passive): You have a decent understanding of Chemistry.

Proficiency Gained

[Biology Proficiency (Apprentice)] (Passive): You have a decent understanding of Biology.

Proficiency Gained

[Physics Proficiency (Apprentice)] (Passive): You have a decent understanding of Physics.

Proficiency Gained

[Cleaning Proficiency (Apprentice)] (Passive): You live alone and no one wants to live in a dump.

[Acting Proficiency (Adept)] (Passive): You are a decent actor, capable of making most people believe what you say.

'Hm…Yeah, that looks about right.' I thought as I skimmed over my proficiencies. 'So, now come my Stats, right?'

Right you are!

Quite the average stats, but then again, I'm just an average human at the moment. Nothing that some grueling grinding can't fix.

Now, as an optional choice, you can choose to take random flaws.

For every random flawed trait that is taken, a bonus will be granted.

'Hm, now that is quite risky. Then again, nothing ventured, nothing gained. Hit me, Yugi!'

Trait Gained

[Weakling]: Your STR is halved.

Perk Gained

[Lucky]: Increases loot drops and the chance of getting rare loot.

Ok, that's not that bad. The chance to get better loot is worth losing half of my strength. 'You know what, I'm feeling lucky, Yugi. Hit me with another!'

Trait Gained

[Slowpoke]: Your AGI is halved.

Perk Gained

[Stamina Freak]: SP and HP/SP Regen are doubled.

Alright, that was good too. We going for a marathon runner build here. 'Three is the lucky number, Yugi. Hit me with one more!'

Trait Gained

[The Fool]: Any amount of points gained for WIS is halved.

Perk Gained

[The Genius]: Any amount of points gained for INT is doubled.

'Ok, that one went a bit too far.' I thought with a wince. The double amount of INT points is great as it means a bigger MP pool, but it coming at the cost of how much MP I can regenerate doesn't sit right with me. 'Well, at least this way leveling up INT and getting some more perks isn't going to be as hard.' I try to think positively. 'Alright, I'm done. Let my next great adventure begin!'

As you wish, Elias.

TM11, if you would.

"Sure," the ROB replied, making me realize that he had been following mine and Yugi's exchange. Should have seen that coming. "Yes, you should. Now have fun in a version of the Marvel Universe created by myself."

My eyes widen in shock at hearing the world I'll be going to. "Wait, what!?"

Smirking at my shock and rising panic, TM11 snaps his fingers and everything goes dark for me.

16:00, February 3, 2012, Forest Hills, Queens, New York

When I next open my eyes, I notice that I'm in a bedroom that I don't recognize. Getting up from the bed that I woke up on, I look around the room. It's just a normal one-person room; the walls are painted in a beige color, the bed is pushed to the upper right corner and facing the door and a desk is on the other side of the room leaning against the wall with a wheeled chair in front of it and closet beside it. There's a window between the bed and desk, and a dark blue carpet on the floor in front of the window and parallel to the bed.

'I gather that this is my new room in this shitty world, Yugi?' I ask my partner calmly, the panic that I had been feeling about being sent to the Marvel Universe nowhere in sight thanks to Gamer's Mind.

Correct, Elias. Also, there's no need to worry about having 'new' parents to deal with. TM11 was kind enough to make you an orphan in this world.

I snort with a smile. 'Only a Gamer would feel happy about being an orphan.' Nonetheless, I am curious about my background in this world.

[Status: Biography]

Elias Xavier

Date of Birth: September 13, 1994

Age: 18

Bio: Elias Xavier is the son of Christina and Julian Xavier and was born in New York City, New York. As the son of a doctor and a marine, Elias got a good education and went to a good school. However, with the deaths of his parents in a car crash, Elias used his inheritance to move to Queens, New York and transferred to Midtown High School to finish his senior year.

"Oh, you have got to be kidding me," I complained. "Not only have I been sent to one of the most dangerous worlds ever, but I've also been de-aged six years and am going to have to repeat my senior year of high school? This is bullshit!"

Sitting down on my bed, I let out a sigh. Having to start my adventure through the Multiverse in the Marvel Universe is not what I had in mind. There are so many ways I could die in this world before I grow strong enough to survive. Nonetheless, I can't do anything about it but roll with the punches.

"Ok, Yugi. First, can you tell me when I can jump to another world?"

Only after the Battle of New York, where the Avengers assemble for the first time.

I raise an eyebrow at that. "So the Avengers haven't assembled yet?" Looking at the upper right corner of my HUD, I see that the current date is February 3, 2012. Going by Yugi mentioning the Battle of New York, I can deduce that this world has some MCU mixed in it, and if my memory serves me right, the events of the Avengers movie happen in early May.

"You're giving me three months in this world? Not sure if I should bless or curse you." Normally, a week is more than enough for a Gamer to become OP as fuck. It all depends on the Gamer System. The fact remains, however, that I'm in the Marvel Universe, where the threats vary from street-level thugs to universe ending beings. On the other hand, since I'm currently in the pre-Avengers era, the most dangerous beings shouldn't be making an appearance yet. Additionally, if this world follows the MCU timeline somewhat, then I can already think of many ways to make myself stronger fast.

"First things first, I need to know how this world deviates from what I know." Spotting a laptop on my desk, I get up and move to sit on my wheeled chair. Booting up the laptop, I open a browser and start googling. The first thing I look for is Tony Stark's Wikipedia page. The photo there is of Robbie Downey Jr. and a quick scroll through his bio tells me that this is MCU Tony Stark.

Next, I search for Norman Osborn. Finding his Wikipedia page, I learn that Norman – who seems to be 'portrayed' by Jason Isaacs in this world – is the Mayor of New York and that Oscorp is currently being led by his wife, Emily Osborn née Lyman. This leads me to believe that some of Marvel's Spider 2018's plot could have been added to this world. Two searches later and I have confirmation of that theory as there is a Sable International in this world, led by Silver Sablinova, and a F.E.A.S.T. organization, founded by Martin Li.

Googling for Reed Richards, I find that he, and by association, the rest of the Fantastic Four, exist on this Earth as well. Their origins seem to mirror those of their main continuity counterparts, though the 'actors' playing them are the ones from the movies. The obvious exception is Johnny Storm, who is being 'portrayed' by Glen Powell. The events of the first movie seem to have happened already, unlike those of the sequel. Instead of that epic shit storm that was the Fantastic Four and the Silver Surfer, this Earth's Fantastic Four seem to have dealt with Mole Man and the Frightful Four after facing Doom and becoming the first superhero team.

Finally, a search for Charles Xavier brings up the man's Wikipedia page, confirming that he and the X-Men exist on this Earth. Which version of the team is the million-dollar question; though, since Charles is 'portrayed' by Patrick Stewart, it is most likely that the X-Men of this world is the team of the movies.

"Damn it. If I had to be sent to a Marvel world, couldn't it have been just the MCU?" I sighed. Then again, considering that, when I died, the MCU seemed to be traveling the path towards bringing the Fantastic Four and the X-Men into it, I would have been in more or less the same situation.

Ok, now that I know what to expect from this world, the next step is to set a goal for myself. I have three months to burn in this world and have to make the most of them. Obviously, grinding is my number one priority; I need to grow strong enough that I won't be challenged by anyone on Earth until I can leave for another world. My second priority must be something that I can do while not grinding. Most Gamers in modern worlds go for world domination and, quite frankly, I want to take a shot at it.

Quest Added

[Earth's One and Only Emperor]

Objective: Conquer Earth-240896 and become its one and true King.

Reward: 1K to all stats, 10 Saint Quartz, 1 Legendary Item of your choice, 1M Credits, [King of the World] Title, 100 or -100 Reputation with the entire world depending on the method.

Oh, I am definitely conquering Earth now. The first step for that is, like I said before, to become stronger than anyone on Earth. The second step is to gather an army of loyal, and powerful followers. Once I get strong enough, I can start taking over groups like the Hand and Hydra. If I combine the resources of both groups, taking over the world should be easy enough. Before that, though, I should start small and take over New York's criminal underworld.

Quest Added

[There's only enough room for one Kingpin]

Objective: Takeover the whole criminal underworld of New York and become its only Kingpin.

Reward: 20 to CHA, 1 Saint Quartz, 1K Credits, [New York's Kingpin] title.

Bonus Objective: Kill all of New York's crime lords and take their women for yourself.

Bonus Reward: 40 CHA, 2 Saint Quartz, 5K Credits.

Quest Added

[Hand? Meet my Foot]

Objective: Takeover the criminal organization known as the Hand.

Reward: 30 to STR, AGI, and END, 1 Saint Quartz, 7K Credits.

Bonus Objective: Kill all five Fingers of the Hand.

Bonus Reward: 50 to STR, AGI, and END, 1 Companion Gem, [Chi Manipulation] skill.

Quest Added

[Taming Hydra]

Objective: Takeover the criminal organization known as Hydra.

Reward: 30 to all stats, 1 Saint Quartz, 8K Credits.

Bonus Objective: Kill the leaders of the various Hydra branches and recruit some prominent members to your side.

Bonus Reward: 50 to all stats, 10K Credits, 1 Random Rare Item.

Nice, all of those rewards will be very useful. Though, I have a question. "Yugi, why is Saint Quartz part of my rewards?"

Ah, well, one of the features that TM11 put in the Game System is the Gacha Feature.

Basically, it works like the Gacha from Fate/Grand Order. Only, you can get many more things than that Gacha since this one has items from all over the Omniverse.

I have a Gacha feature? Well, let's hope that I can roll more than just Black Keys in this one.

*Ding Dong*

Hearing my doorbell ringing, I get up, walk out of my room, and down the stairs to my right. The front hall is right in front of the stairs, so I quickly cross the short distance between the stairs and the door. To my right is the stereotypical living room, which I give a quick look and find somewhat familiar.

Putting that out of my mind, I open the door and come face-to-face with two people that I recognize immediately.

"Hello there. I'm May Parker, your next-door neighbor," one of Marvel's more iconic characters introduces herself. She looks like Marisa Tomei, so this is most likely the MCU version of Aunt May. "This young man here is my nephew, Peter." She says, motioning to the teen that looks very much like the geek twin of Tom Holland.

Smiling at them, I bring my hand forward as I introduce myself. "Hi. The name is Elias Xavier. It's pleasure to meet you, Ms. Parker."

May chuckles as she shakes my hand. "It's Mrs. Parker, actually. I'm married."

I feign a look of surprise as I replied. "Really? My apologies then. It just that you seem too young to be married."

"Why, aren't you a charmer?" She giggles.

+5 points of Affection with May Parker for making her feel young [05/100]

Smiling at the middle-aged woman while internally wondering what this thing about affection is about, I move to shake Peter's hand.

"It's nice to meet you too, Peter."

"Same here, Elias."

The two of us shake each other's hand with a polite smile as I discretely use Observe on him.

Peter Parker

Level 3

Rank: Tier 1

Race: Human

Age: 18

HP – 100

INT – 52

WIS – 10

CHA – 9

LCK – 25

Thoughts about you – Feels a certain kinship with you as a fellow orphan.

It seems like Peter hasn't become Spider-Man yet. That's good; a potential power for me to get before he can.

Looking back at May, I ask. "Would you two like to come inside? I was just about to fix something to eat."

May shakes her head and hands to refute my offer. "There's no need. We don't want to impose. We just came here to meet our new neighbor and invite you to have dinner with us. If that is alright you, of course."

Shrugging, I reply. "Sure. It beats eating alone." I put a sad frown on my face and, to my hidden joy, I can see the pity appear in their eyes as their smiles become more real and gentle.

"Well, you can come by our house by seven. Dinner should be ready by then." She tells me while pointing to hers and Peter's house, which is the one right to the left of mine.

"Sure, I'll be there. See you later, then." They nod and turn to leave as I close the door.

So, the Parkers are my next-door neighbors? That's good; this way I can befriend Peter and, if not take his place as Spider-Man, then at least take a sample of his blood and hopefully create a serum that will give me his powers.

Quest Added

[Unlimited Grinding Works]

Objective: Max out the Summoner Job Class before Peter Parker becomes Spider-Man.

Rewards: 5 Saint Quartz, 1K Credits, Multi-Class feature.

"Max out Summoner before Peter becomes Spider-Man when I don't even know how much time I have left until that school trip? You're a real taskmaster, Yugi."

Hey, I'm just giving you some added inspiration to grind and level up fast.

"Alright, alright. Well, I might as well start doing that now." A look at my HUD's clock shows me that it is 16h32m as I move to sit on my couch. "I got roughly two hours and a half to spend grinding. That should be good for a start."

[ID Create]!

Which type of Dungeon would you like to go to?

[Normal Dungeons], [Horde Dungeons], [Instant Action Dungeons], or [Challenge Dungeons]?

"Hm, give me a resume of what each is, please."

[Normal Dungeons]: The general type of dungeons seen in various RPGs. If the player dies inside this type of dungeon, they will be forcedly thrown back to the real world and be incapable of accessing the dungeon they died in for one hour.

[Horde Dungeons]: A type of dungeon where the player faces a number of enemies that increases as the user kills more and more of them. The dungeon starts with one enemy, which then turns to two, then to four, then to eight, and so on until the player dies. If the player dies inside this type of dungeon, they will be forcedly thrown back to the real world and be incapable of accessing it again for 24 hours.

[Instant Action Dungeons]: This type of dungeon is the equivalent of a multiplayer game. The player will be dropped into a 'match' such as a team deathmatch or capture the flag. In this type of dungeon, the player must use the preset skills, Job Classes, and gear given by the dungeon character that they choose.

[Challenge Dungeons]: As the name suggests, this dungeon gives the player a challenge that they must overcome to complete the dungeon. This type of dungeon also gives the player restrictions, like only allowing them to use a limited number of items, or only giving them access to one of their Job Classes.

"Hm… Does the Horde Dungeon give out loot?"

No. It only helps you level up your current Job Class as you gain EXP by killing a horde of monsters.

"Ok. I also noticed before that I gain five INT and five WIS every time I level up Summoner. What about my other stats?"

Well, unlike the Gamer System that you're used to, you don't gain Stat Points by doing certain actions.

The only way to gain Stat Points with Dark Wolf Shiro's Gamer System is by either leveling your Job Classes, completing quests that have Stat Points as rewards, or find Stat Shards in the dungeons.

Before you ask, each Stat Shard comes with 5 Stat Points for a specific stat.

Uh, interesting. This system makes it much easier to level up than the one I'm used to reading about. Though… "Dark Wolf Shiro's Gamer System?"

Yes, the Gamer System that TM11 gave you was first created by another ROB, Dark Wolf Shiro. TM11 asked him permission to use it and Dark Wolf Shiro agreed.

TM11 did make some changes to the system, though.

"Well, props to Dark Wolf Shiro, then. I've never seen a Gamer System like this one."

At any rate, it's a shame that the Horde Dungeon doesn't give me loot. As I am now, I need loot to make for how weak I am.

"Getting back on track, I'll be going to the Normal Dungeon, Yugi."

Understood.

Connecting to Mirror World…

Sending Player to [Singularity F Dungeon] in 3…

"Wait!"

And with that, for the second time that day, my vision turned black.

Update 26/10/2020: One JamesRook pointed out to me that the text for the [Summon Elemental] skill is wrong considering how many Elementals Elias summons in Chapter 2. So, I've changed it.

Update 27/10/2020: The change I made to the skill would make Elias too OP with his Summons, so I decided to make some alterations to Chapter 2 instead of changing the text of the skill.

Update 24/01/2021: I made some changes to the quests that Yugi gave to Elias.

Hello, everyone! Hope you're doing well in these trying times.

At any rate, I hereby present to you the story that I've been waiting to write for so long. Ever since I read my first Gamer fic, I've wanted to try my hand at it. Thing is, the System used by most writers never really connected with me and for a long time, I had despaired that I would never be able to write my own Gamer fic. Then, lo and behold, I found Dark Wolf Shiro's "A Gamer's Multiverse Adventures".

That story captured my attention completely with its unique premise. And then Shiro wrote "A Gamer's Guide to Necromancy" and I saw the light! Seeing how his Gamer System worked inspired me to give a Gamer story a try again. I cannot thank him enough for the inspiration, and all of the help he has been giving me these past few months as I planned this story.

Thank you, Shiro. You're awesome and you're stories are great.

About this story though, as you can see, Elias' first world is Marvel. Now, there will be some things that I will be taking from Shiro's "A Gamer's Guide to Conquest". I have his permission to do so, so no problems. Nonetheless, I'll try my best to make my story different and unique.

As for the worlds he will be visiting, I already have chosen the first four worlds he will be going to after Marvel. After that, I'm not too sure which ones he will go to first. I want to send him to Naruto, Fairy Tail, One Piece, and some other worlds, but I haven't decided on an order yet, except for the first four after Marvel.

Well, hope you liked this chapter and stay around to take a look at the rest of the story. See you when Chapter 2 comes out!

Ja ne!
