Leaving

On a windy dark night trees swaying side by side in unison. Lizzy had always dreamt of a lavish wedding on a bright day but she never imagined that destiny would play a trick on her.

She got married at night and with a creature of the night.

My dear get ready all the guests are already waiting for you at the altar "mother said "

I don't want to get married to that man l won't be happy, don't you care about my happiness mother.

Ofcourse l do my dear but circumstances don't allow you to have a choice. Just get married and once everything falls into place you will divorce him and demand arlmony from the divorce.

I walked down the aisle wishing that the white carpet would be endless but my wish was soon shattered as the neared the last step towards my groom.

An arm was placed before me and waiting looking at the face l just placed my hands into his. Suddenly l felt the warm of his palm radiating into mine . I hate to admit it but it felt warm and nice but l couldn't have such thoughts anymore but my wedding was in progress.

I finally lifted my head and came across the most handsome guy l had ever met . I always heard the ladies from the social circle talking about Ethan Qin as the most Eligible bachelor in Reth city and today l bore witness to his beauty.

I almost forgot that he was l same man l had been rebuking for the past month ever since our marriage was arranged but alteast his looks were outstanding enough to be called my husband.

I was brought back to reality when l heard the voice of the priest ."Do you Lizzy Clarke take Ethan Qin as your lawfully weded husband..... I hestiated slightly but l realized their was no use resisting my destiny."l do" The crowd appalused .

Do you Ethan Qin take Lizzy Clarke to be your lawfully weded wife ...." I do" his voice spread magnetically throughout the whole room.The priest continued the ceremony as my mind was on the man who was Infront of me and l was once again jolted awake by the priest's voice . By the power vested in me l now pronounce you husband and wife you may now kiss the bride.

My heart beats started picking up their pace l was going to be my first kiss and to a stranger someone l wasn't very familiar with . I was praying that this should get over and done with .

I saw him nearing me and my heart was beating loudly in my chest . He closed the distance between us while one of his arms encircled my waist and the other behind my head the lower my head while anticipating what was to happen next.

To my surprise it didn't feel bad at all instead l felt like l wanted more . When our lips met l felt electric sparks passing through my body and my knees weakened and when l felt his lips savouring mine and tasting it , l lost it .I don't know how my hands went to his shoulders l thought this was supposed to be a short kiss and when l was just starting to enjoy it he pulled away and l felt like cursing him but l resisted against it.

Soon it was time to say good bye to all my family . I was the eldest child and since my father and arranged my marriage for his business. The Qins were extremely rich people and his son Ethan had just returned from the United States so my father used this opportunity to get me married into the Qin family. I really didn't want to go with a stranger and held my hands and comforted me sliently asif he knew about my inner battles and soon we were in the car driving out of the Clarke manor to my new home .l didn't know what awaited me there but l prayed it was a better life.
