Time for Bed

Bil blinked. Jash stared. Their gazes were locked.

"... Why would I want to kill someone?" asked Bil, unfazed.

"I don't know. But that's what I felt. It was faint. I only felt it because I know you and have felt your bloodlust plenty of times," reasoned Jash. "You already dye your beard, so maybe you'll disguise yourself even more in order to search for that person. You don't have to watch us anymore so you'll have the time to hunt them down."

"Jash. That's not how I am. I don't like killing people. So why would–"

"Maybe it has something to do with your lover."

"..."

It was only for a brief moment, but Jash felt it again. And in the corner of his eye Jash saw Bil's fist clench. "Bil… How did your lover die?"

"... I don't want to talk about that."

"... Please, Bil…" Jash knew he hit a sore spot, but it also felt like he was figuring things out little by little. "Please. You said you'd answer my questions… At least tell me a little bit."
