Off-the-Record Discussion

Nodding and smiling, Hathon lifted his hands to mimic surrendering, "Very well. We'll continue. What information are you asking for?"

Zac noticed that Hathon and Golbert were as comfortable as ever, not showing hostility or hesitation. "... What can you tell me about the Church of Dizas?"

"Do you already understand how they died in the first place? Your captives?"

"I've seen the reports from the Clarke Guild regarding the autopsies after the church raid," answered Zac. "It said they died within the span of a second from internal organ failure."

"Do you know what triggered it?"

Zac shook his head. "No. According to the reports, there was no conclusive theory available."

"Did you ask…" For the first time in the whole discussion, Hathon caught himself and took a moment to rephrase his question, "What does your father think it is?"
