Making Time for Each Other

At the other end of Boarril, Nelphy ran down the main road as quickly as her stamina would allow.

The city gate was fast approaching. Her mind was bustling; brimming with too many half-connected thoughts to keep calm.

"Why are you so flustered?" a kind voice teased from afar.

Nelphy's feet slid to a stop as she crossed the city gate. She turned to the side to spot the speaker. And, out of habit, a smile trickled across her cheeks. "Zac? What are you doing here? I thought you were busy in the chateau?"

The blonde man shook his head while walking up to his girlfriend. "Nope. I've got something even more pressing on my schedule for today and tomorrow. You."

Taken aback, Nelphy's compulsory smile lightened up some more. "That… makes me very happy. I was just on my way to go find you."
