William opened the storage cupboard door roughly. Somehow Pierre's attitude annoyed him. "What a piece of shit! He doesn't know who I am yet."

Snorting in annoyance, William pulled out the clean apron tucked away in the storage cupboard. He joked and dropped the apron in his hand. William then stepped on the apron and spat on it. He fell silent after stepping on the apron, then smirked.

After that, William again picked up the apron and took it to the kitchen to give to Pierre. William laughed in his heart as he handed Pierre the apron he had and spit trampled on.

Meanwhile, Pierre frowned as he accepted the apron that William had brought. "Isn't there another apron?"

William shook his head. "That's the only apron I could find. The others are still in the sink. It's up to you whether you wear it or not."

Pierre swallowed his saliva while looking down at the apron in his hands. "Thank you."

William nodded. He was trying his best to hold back his laughter when he saw Pierre's expression after receiving the apron he had brought. Pierre seemed hesitant to put on the apron, but he put it on anyway.

Sven, who saw William and Pierre's conversation, couldn't help but laugh. He guessed that William must have done something to the apron he had given Pierre. And as soon as Pierre walked towards Esmee, Sven immediately spoke to William.

"Willy, what did you do to that apron?" asked Sven in a half-whisper.

William looked directly at Sven and laughed softly. He could barely contain his laughter. William glanced briefly at Pierre, then whispered to Sven. "I just spit on it a little bit."

Sven's eyes widened after hearing William's answer. He then shook his head. "You brat, Will."

William chuckled. Sven chuckled. Both of them glanced at Pierre, who looked awkward wearing the apron that William had given him. They then giggled together as they resumed their work.

Esmee stretched her body after the first session of her restaurant ended. Marie had locked the restaurant door and put up a sign that the restaurant was closing. All the workers in D'Amelie's restaurant then rest together in the kitchen.

"Are you okay?" asked Marie when she entered the kitchen and saw Esmee massaging her neck.

Esmee nodded. "Sit down. Let me prepare lunch for all of us."

Standing not far from Esmee, Pierre grabbed Esmee's hands. "You rest. Let me make food for all of us."

"Don't be like that, Pierre. You make me feel bad," said Esmee.

Pierre came to Esmee and held Esmee's shoulders with both hands. He then looked at Esmee. Meanwhile, Marie, who stood between Esmee and Pierre, decided to walk to the dining table where William and Sven were gathered.

"You don't have to feel bad, Esmee. I did it so you can rest," said Pierre, looking at Esmee.

Esmee was silent for a moment as she looked at Pierre. Then she smiled and nodded her head. "Thank you again. I don't know how to thank you."

Pierre tapped Esmee on the shoulder. "Seeing you rest for a while that's enough for me."

Esmee chuckled. "Call me if you need help."

Pierre nodded. Esmee then walked to the dining table to join Marie and the others.

"I've lost my appetite," William hissed. He rose to his feet just as Esmee sat down in her chair.

Esmee was surprised to see William, who suddenly stood up. "You want to eat out?"

William nodded as he put back the chair he had used earlier.

Marie and Sven glanced at each other as William left the table. While Esmee just nodded slowly and let William go. After William left, Esmee sighed as she massaged his neck.

----

William walked out of D'Amelie's restaurant with an annoyed snort. His mood always turned bad whenever he saw Pierre trying to get close to Esmee. While walking out of the restaurant, William took out his cell phone and called Charles.

"Hey! Hurry and pick me up at the restaurant!" William exclaimed as soon as Charles answered the phone.

"What a coincidence. I'm not too far from the restaurant. Where are you going?" asked Charles.

"I'd like to have lunch," William replied.

"Umm, fine. I'll be right there in a minute." Charles hung with William.

William took a deep breath and put his phone back into his trouser pocket. After that, he walked down the small alley behind the restaurant to the main road.

While walking, William saw the building condition that his father would use to build a boutique hotel in Riquewihr. He muttered as he looked at the back of the row of shops and took out his cell phone again. William then looked up his father's number and immediately called him.

"Hello, William. Your father is in a meeting," said Naomi, his father's secretary.

William sighed as Naomi answered the phone. "Tell the old man he can start the renovation."

"Have you managed to get the restaurant owner to sell her place?" asked Naomi.

William took a deep breath. "Just tell him to start doing the interior renovation gradually."

"What if the restaurant owner feels disturbed? They can report us to the local authorities," said Naomi.

"How long have you worked for Alexander Hunter, Naomi? You shouldn't have to worry about that. That man can handle everything. Except for the restaurant owner, he asked me to take care of it for no reason," William said.

"Okay. I'll tell your father," said Naomi.

"Ask him to call me after he's done with his business." William hung up his phone from Naomi. He then quickened his pace to reach the main road.

Right after William reached the main road, Charles was waiting for him on his motorbike. Charles directly gave the helmet to William. "Where would you like to have lunch?"

"Take me as far away from this restaurant as possible. I want to pamper myself for a bit," William replied, putting on the helmet Charles had given him while sitting on the bike. Then Charles immediately rode his motorbike to get away from the area around the restaurant.

Esmee and the others finished eating their lunch prepared by Pierre. They all complimented Pierre's delicious ratatouille.

"Thanks for lunch, Pierre. You're great," said Marie.

Pierre responded to Marie's words while nodding his head. "Thank you, Marie."

"What ingredients did you add to your ratatouille? It tastes a little different from what I'm used to," Sven asked curiously.

Pierre laughed softly. "I didn't add anything. I used the ingredients already available here."

Sven looked at Pierre in disbelief.

"Oh, come on, Sven. I didn't add anything," said Pierre.

"I think I saw you put some of my beef stock in your ratatouille," interrupted Esmee.

"You caught me," said Pierre.

Esmee and the others laughed softly at Pierre, who pretended to cover his face. Pierre then laughed along with Esmee and the others.

"Looks like break time is over," Marie said after looking at her watch. She tidied up her meal's leftovers and took them to the sink.

"I just realized William isn't here," said Pierre, looking at Esmee.

"He went out," said Esmee.

Pierre nodded. He then helped tidy up the leftover lunch and carried it to the sink. After that, he went back to talking to Esmee. "You should call him. The break will be over soon, and he has to return to work. Don't let him be late."

Esmee nodded slowly. "I'll call him."

Esmee then walked out of the kitchen.
