Grimoire Heart: Confronting The 7 Kin of Purgatory

(Jason's POV)

"Jason, wake up." I heard Meredy call out for me

I opened my eyes, seeing her eyes look down at me from above. I could also see her huge boobs dangle above me. 

"Hm..." I said, "I'm gonna grope those big things if you don't move them out the way." 

She chuckled, "Now's not the time for jokes like those." She said, "I mean it." 

She moved out the way as I sat up, "Okay." I said, "What's up?"

"It's them, Jason." Meredy said seriously, "Sorano has made contact wit the 7 Kin of Purgatory."

I looked at her, "By herself?" I asked

She nodded, "Yes." 

I sighed and stood up, "Now, why would she go and do that?" I said as I stretched

"She said something about talking to Cobra and Midnight." Meredy said, "I think she'll try and get through to them." 

I shook my head, "There's no point in trying to reason with the enemy." I said, "They made their choice to join them. They have to pay the price."

It's quite foolish for that woman to try and speak to them by herself. Who knows the kind of shit they'll pull. After everything that has been happening, it's too risky to do anything alone. I got a feeling she won't come out of it unscathed. 

"We have to hurry." Meredy said, "Ultear and Jellal are too far away, they're dealing with something else. It's up to us to help Sorano." 

I nodded, "Yea." I said, "Where are they?"

I looked at her, she had a really worried look on her face. I guess despite everything, Meredy does care about her comrades. Not surprised, she has a kind heart. 

"I am not sure." Meredy replied, "Last I spoke with her, she was at the heart of a ravine to the west." 

"Okay." I said, "Then that's were we'll go." 

"Let's go."

"Sorano!" I watched as Meredy ran up to Sorano who was collapsed on the ground

We had made our way to the heart of the ravine that Meredy mentioned. Turns out that Sorano had left breadcrumbs to lead us to where she was. 

Sorano laid unconscious on the wet ground, Meredy held her in her arms as she looked at me with a concerned face. 

I noticed that Sorano had several bruises on her body. I could only assume she was attacked and beaten to the point she was rendered unconscious. 

"Is she okay?" I asked as I stood a couple of feet away from them

She nodded, "Yes." She said, "I="

"I can hear it." a voice echoed throughout the narrow ravine

I turned around to see a figure emerge from the shadows. From a small cliff above us, a man appeared, wearing a white trench coat. He had pointy ears and a scar on his eye. I recognized him as the Poison Dragon Slayer. 

"I can hear your thoughts, Meredy." Cobra said as he looked down at us, "You're worried about Angel, aren't you? Don't worry, she won't die." 

"We wouldn't kill our old comrade." another voice said

A couple of feet next to Cobra, Midnight appeared from the shadows as well. He wore a large fur coat with a feathered collar. His piercing eyes looked at me, it was unsettling. 

Both Cobra and Midnight looked at me. 

"So...." Midnight said, "This is the guy who beat Zancrow and Tessa...."

"Strange...." Cobra said, "I can't hear this guy's thoughts...."

"Hm..." I said

I then felt another magic power behind us. I turned to the ground bursting open and a large wooden tree appearing. From the tree, I watched as Azuma slowly emerged. 

"So this is the man who nearly killed my comrade..." Azuma said

I was about to say something else when I saw Rustyrose descend from the top of the ravine with the wings on his feet. 

"Yes, this is the bastard...." He said as veins popped in his veins, "Azuma, let us kill this piece of shit together."

"Relax." Azuma said, "There's only 4 of us here." 

"Heh." I heard Cobra said, "Tessa and the other guy didn't wanna come. Zancrow is still recovering from his injuries. I think we're more than enough." 

"J-Jason...." I heard Meredy say

I looked back at her, she had a really worried look on her face. It seems she didn't know what to do in the current situation. There were 4 of them, only 2 of us, and an unconscious Sorano. I wouldn't blame her if she thought that being outnumbered currently is not something that is in our favor. 

Fortunately, for her, I was not worried in the slightest. 

I turned to look at the others and only sighed. 

"Alright then." I said

I saw Rustyrose raise an eyebrow, "Huh?"

I began to stretch my arms, "Let's do this." I said

Azuma crossed his arms, "Are you serious?" He asked, "Do you truly intend to fight us? Master Hades ordered us to capture you. You do understand that we outnumber you. You two are not capable of fighting us at once. Ultear and Jellal are not here to assist you." 

I shrugged, "I don't need them." I said, "And who said anything about Meredy fighting?"

I saw that all of them had a confused look on their face. It was comical, they still didn't understand at all. I didn't intend to fight alongside this pink-haired babe, nah, that's not my intention at all. 

I gave them all a smirk, "I'm taking all of you on. All 4 of you fucking clowns." I said as I began to release my magic power, "Now the real question is this:"

"You all coming at me at once or not?"
