Resi's Meeting with Gio

As usual, apart from studying at university, Vera also works as a tour guide to supplement her pocket money. Gio visits Vera at his guest house after Vera returns from college, Gio is Vera's male friend who has been told by Resi. to Gio, Vera told about Resi, Gio responded by asking to be introduced and met face to face with Resi. At Gio's request, Vera tries to comply by writing a WhatsApp message to Resi about her boyfriend's wish to meet her.

"Resi. My friend who is a boy, I told you before, he asked to get acquainted and meet you," said Vera via Whatsapp message.

"can. What day can we schedule so we can meet and where is the place?" reply and ask by Resi.

"Maybe the day after tomorrow we can meet at the Palais Royal" replied Vera.

"Okay, we will meet on the weekend after tomorrow," Resi said while inserting a smile emoji at the end of the sentence he wrote.

Hearing Vera's conversation that Resi agreed to a request to meet, Gio was very happy because he would meet and be introduced to new people. Vera served dinner that had been brought by Gio and they ate heartily while still chatting casually.

'Tlililililing Tlililililiilng' Gio's phone rang.

"hello Gio, is Vera okay?" asked by Mrs. Mala/mother of Vera when Gio returned to his lodging house.

"hi mom. So far under my supervision, Vera's condition is fine, ma'am. I always make sure that your mother's girl is always in good condition, "replied by Gio.

"Thank you Gio, you have sincerely cared for my mother's favorite daughter all this time, mother still entrusts you to entrust and look after Vera" said Mrs. Mala.

"This is my duty, mother, considering that Mr. Deon (Vera's father) helped my family a lot to get up in every problem, so I have to repay him by always taking care of my mother's daughter," replied Gio.

"Okay mom, end this call. Have a good rest tonight" said Mrs. Mala before ending the phone call.

Mrs. Mala was moved to hear Gio's words, Mr. Deon or Mrs. Mala's husband are like heroes-helpers, he does not hesitate to help other people or relatives when they are experiencing a problem. Mrs. Mala is also proud, having a husband who is humble and helpful and cares about the peace of her little family life.

Days passed and the week has come. Gio wakes up from his sleep and takes a shower, prepares to pick Vera up at his guest house and goes to the Palais Royal. Likewise with Vera, he had prepared himself so he could get into the car right away when Gio had picked him up. The two of them went to the Palais Royal by boarding a rented car, they arrived at the Palais Royal at 08.35, upon arrival they immediately ordered a dining table number.

"Resi, you come to dining table number 7, Gio and I are here," wrote a message from Vera via WhatsApp conversation.

Resi arrived at the Palais Royal at around 08.46, he immediately approached the dining table with the order number that Vera had mentioned before.

"Hello Vera" Resi greeted with a cheerful smile.

"Hey Resi, please sit down" Vera said. "He is Gio, a friend who accompanied me while I was in Paris," said Vera while pointing at Gio.

"hello Gio, introduce me Resi" said Resi while holding out his hand inviting Gio to shake hands.

"Hi, I'm Gio. Nice to meet you Resi," Gio replied while shaking Resi's hand.

For a moment Gio thought about asking about Resi's life before he was in Paris, he wanted to know the origins of the man sitting across from him.

"What was your job or activity before you were in Paris?" Gio asked with firmness.

"While I was still in Indonesia, I became a student at STP Bandung," replied Resi.

"Then where did you live when you were in Indonesia?" continued asked by Gio.

"It's been 9 years, I live in Bandung. When I was still a child, I lived in Surabaya, but moved to Bandung because of my father's work matters, "replied by Resi.

"So, okay, let's order food and continue the conversation while bribing food later," said Gio.

Gio called the food delivery waiter, and the waiter handed him a food menu book. After the food was served by the food delivery waiter at the dining table, they immediately devoured their own food while still continuing the casual conversation. Vera took her cellphone from her bag, but when the cellphone was taken out of her bag it immediately fell down because Vera's hand hit the side of the table. Spontaneously Vera and Resi bent down to pick up the HP lying on the floor, Resi's hand rested on Vera's hand when going to pick up the lying HP, Resi felt the softness of the back of Vera's hand, while Vera felt a touch of warmth from Resi's palm, instantly Resi and Vera's heart beat heavy feeling something unusual that penetrates the heart. Resi stared at Vera's downcast face, then immediately looked away when Vera turned to face him.

"Sorry" Resi's simple words quickly pushed away her hand which was resting on the back of Vera's hand.

'how can my heart beat heavy like this' confused Resi muttered in his heart.

In order not to be embarrassed, he tried to take his eyes off Vera and tried to focus on eating his food. After talking for a long time, the three of them at the Palais Royal, they immediately left the place because it was already midday and the light was getting hot.

"Ver, from Resi's attitude, it can be seen that he is indeed an innocent and gentle person. I like his tone of voice which sounds very polite, I hope you always feel comfortable when you are around him," said Gio when he was in the car to go home to the inn.

Vera responded by giving a thin smile, assuming that Gio had started to acknowledge and accept Resi's good behavior, Vera was happy about that. The heavy beating of his heart was still felt even though he had left that place (Palais Royal). A girl who had never been in a relationship and for the first time she felt something different when she received a touch from a man.

All the way back to the inn, there was no conversation between Gio and Vera to break the silence. Vera leaned her head against the cushion of the car seat and closed her eyes for a moment, while Gio read the stories contained in his collection of books. Gio first escorted Vera to his lodging house, then continued on his way back to his private lodging house. When the two of them arrived at their respective lodging houses, they immediately rested and lay down on the bed.
