"Ready when you are, Pat." Sol said clenching his fist around the drawstring of a nylon mesh bag holding forest seeds. The map stood in front of them, and Pat activated it for just a few moments to get a reading on their enemy's location. Pat tried hardest of them all not to carry on about the pain the map brought. He liked being tough, and Sol found himself captivated by Pat's stoic resolve. His muscles rippled from the rhythmic needling of the map, but his red eyebrows remained peacefully focused.
Pat nodded, and Sol released the spores and seeds into the air. Pat closed the connection to the map and turned his concentration to the wind. Dragon magic, it turned out, allowed one to manipulate the elements.
"The human mind is capable of using the raw magic of your creature-forms in more ordered fashion than even those creatures can. You can access less of your magic in human form, but put it to better use," Sophia had advised them earlier in the month.
