Are you confident that you can solve any problem in maths? If yes, then congratulations you can become a millionaire!
How? Let me tell you!
In 2000, the Clay Mathematics Institute selected 7 well-known unsolved problems of maths. It promised $1 million prize for the first correct solution to each problem.
The seven problems are as follows:
1) Birch and Swinnerton-Dyer conjecture
2) Hodge conjecture
3) Navier–Stokes equation
4) P versus NP problem
5) Riemann hypothesis
6) Yang–Mills existence and mass gap
7) Poincaré conjecture
Till now only the seventh problem was solved by Russian mathematicians Grigori Perelman in 2003. However, he declined the prize as it was not also offered to Richard S. Hamilton, from which his work was built.
What an honest and uptight guy! He declined the $1 million! It may be seen foolish, but it can be said that he was a man of honour. My respect to this man.
So, what are you waiting for? Try to solve these question, maybe you can become the next millionaire.
