Extra: Veil of the Unwritten Worlds

Betwixt virtue and vice, the line is but a thread, where madness oft doth walk in shadows cast by reason. ========== -I won! I closed my eyes and held on to the small victory that I had. My vision blurred, and strength seeped out from my body. Slowly, but surely life seemed to ebb out, leaving me motionless. Suddenly I felt a golden light shimmering from outside. I tried opening my eyes, the hue seemed to sense this becoming even brighter. A warmth surrounded my whole body and took me in its soothing embrace. I felt at peace, a feeling that I never experienced. Suddenly this feeling disappeared. -Ding! Who is ringing the bell in this place? Lethargically, I opened my eyes to scan my surroundings, only to find myself unfamiliar surroundings. I moved my eyes throughout the room, and soon a mirror gained my attention, behind it was a young man, with pale skin and dark circles under his eyes. -Ding! A screen appeared in front of me. Confusion filled my mind with endless questions. It turned out, that I was transmigrated in the novel "Legends of Thaloria " not as the main character, neither a side-character nor as an over-bearing villain but as an Extra that is not even mentioned in it. -Argh!! Fate being a wretched b***h, played against me. But hey with my knowledge of novel, I can have an easy life right??.... Until I remembered the ending of the novel The world is destined for Doom!!.... Soon I came to realize that the novel and the world I had transmigrated to were not be similar as I thought. ========== *Disclaimer: Message to Passengers(Readers) to please place their seatbelts because our journey will face various cliffhanger storms, Rain of Emotions, and Scorching hardships. Prologue: <???????>

My hands tightened around the hilt of my sword battered sword is the reflection of my soul. I could feel the darkness pressing down on me. trying to crush what little hope I had left . But I couldn't let it. I wouldn't.

"You took her from me",I whispered, my voice barely audible over the ominous hum that filled the chamber. The sound grew louder, mocking me, "This place.. this city.... it's your fault she's gone.

The altar's light flared, and the ground trembled beneath my feet. A voice, ancient and terrible, echoed through the chamber, filling the space with its cold, overwhelming presence.

"Mortal, Thou darest defy the will of the ancients? Thy grief is but a fleeting emotion, insignificant before the weight of eternity. She was a pawn in a game beyond thy comprehension."("Mortal, you dare defy the will of the ancients? Your grief is but a fleeting emotion, insignificant compared to the weight of eternity. She was merely a pawn in a game beyond your understanding.")

The words tore at me, twisting my grief into something darker, something that threatened to consume me. Elena wasn't a pawn. She was -my friend, a partner.

And now she is gone, snatched by this malevolent force that claimed to be eternal and invincible.

But I wouldn't let it end like this. I couldn't. I tightened my grip on my sword, my resolve hardening

"She was not a pawn!!!"I shouted with the intensity of my emotions. "And you-this place-took her away from me!! I will destroy you even if it is the last thing I do!"

With a roar born of pure desperation,I charged at the altar, my sword raised high. The ground cracked and shifted forward, driven by the need to avenge her, to make them pay for what they had done.

The air around the altar was thick dark energy, the force that pressed down against me like a weight i could barely carry. But I didn't care.

I had to make it count.

The altar's inscriptions flared again, and the voice grew louder, more commanding

" Thou shalt fall as she did, consumed by the power thou cannot hope to overcome. Thy defiance is futile!" (You shall fall as she did, consumed by a power you cannot hope to overcome. Your defiance is futile!")

I gritted my teeth, pushing back against the wave of fear and doubt that threatened to overwhelm me. I couldn't stop now. Not when I was so close.

I planted my feet firmly on the ground and swung my sword with all my might, aiming to cleave the cursed altar into two. But as I struck, a shockwave of energy erupted from it, slamming into me with the force of a hurricane.

The impact sent me crashing to the ground, pain shooting through my body like fire. I forced myself to get up, ignoring the blood trickling from my mouth, and the searing pain in my side.

The statue's eyes blazed with an even fiercer light, and the voice reverberated throughout the chamber now laced with desperation ."Kneel before the power of ancient one, thou shall be spared swift death . Thou canst not defeat me, mortal".

"Kneel?" I spat, dragging myself upright, every part of me trembling with exhaustion ."Never".

With a final burst of determination, I lunged at the altar again, swinging my sword with everything I had left.

The air around me crackled with energy, the force of it nearly overwhelming. I could feel my strength waning, The darkness closing in, but I refused to give up. I had to do this.

My sword met the altar once more, and this time the impact sent shockwaves through the chamber. The ground beneath us trembled, and the Altar's inscriptions began to flicker, their light dimming.

The voice roared with something I hadn't heard before - fear that turned into laughter

"No!!.. Th-This!!! cannot happen! This cannot be-Wait thy are Thee HAHAHAHAHAHAA

Wherever thou shalt go destruction and death shalt follow. Thou canst escape thy darkness. Thou shall not prevail"

I pushed forward, my muscles screaming in protest, my vision blurring. With a final, desperate push drove my sword into the 'heart' of the altar.

The inscriptions into the heart of the altar. The inscriptions flared one last time before shattering, the dark energy within them dissipating in a burst of light.

The voice let out a final agonized scream before fading into nothingness, leaving behind only silence.

I stumbled back, my strength was finally giving out. The statue's eyes were dark, Its power extinguished along that had taken Elena from me. I had won.

But as I collapsed on ground , my vision darkening. I realized just how close I had come to losing. My body battered, my strength spent. I could barely move, barely breathing.

I had won but by smallest of the margins , a narrow victory felt meaningless.

I closed my eyes, letting the darkness take me. My body was broken, my mind was exhausted.

But at least I had avenged her. As the darkness finally claimed me, I held on the small victory the only thing I had left.

 =========

Soon a eerie silence covered the whole city

-Rumble

The whole city hidden in the himalayan ranges began to shake. The city, once lay dead began to glow with various inscriptions with other-worldly light.

The city shook more vigorously as a golden hue enveloped the city. Soon it burst to the heavens.

A calamity occurred as the humans had never foreseen.

- to be continued.
