She kept her voice calm, though the anxiety gnawed at her insides. She couldn't afford a confrontation.

Xun Bufan, standing arrogantly in front of the crowd, sneered in response. His eyes gleamed with disdain.

"What's there to explain? Someone saw it with their own eyes. At the entrance of the cave, Rain was hugging the young master tightly when they got sucked into that bloody vortex. My master is heartbroken, bedridden from grief. And your precious Rain? He's not coming back."

His words were laced with venom, dripping with contempt.
