Chapter 12: An Unexpected occurence

[ Expressionless Awakener ]

The battle was intense.

Kwan jihu took the arrows and threw it at the monster with amazing impact.

The monster screeched from the pain and lots of holes have formed from the impact of each arrow.

As kwan jihu took the last arrow, the monster suddenly used an ability to heal each hole from the arrow.

'What!?' Jihu thought as the monster healed each hole using purple liquid.

"Alex... I think that monster is healing itself." Micheal spoke to jihu with concern.

'The entity is trying to heal the holes all at once! Thats why it has been letting itself get damaged from the arrows.'

'But it seems like it wasn't mentioned in the novel.' Jihu thought as he observed the monster.

Suddenly, the sub-system appeared.

[ Maybe it's because it's a monster that barely anyone would notice! hehe ] The system texted.

'Shut it.' Jihu glared at the system.

The monster's ability suddenly began to activate, the liquid on the floor immediately moved and formed different monsters.. just like the ones jihu defeated.

The monster screeched once more.

"GAAAHHHH!!!"

It finally took its first attack, it swung a pile of purple acid at micheal and jihu but they were able to avoid it.

"What should we do about this, Alex!?" Micheal shouted at jihu.

Jihu is calm and nonchalant, so he already got used to the situation before the monster battled.

As jihu was trying to think, he immediately got an conclusion.

But before he could use that conclusion, the monster made a sword using purple liquid and swung at jihu.

Jihu blocked the attack.

'The enlightenment of heaven from inside of that monster's core can easily break if I took the time to attack it..."

Jihu's expression was stern, Nonetheless have made any expression.. He already expected this kind of battle in the first place.

'I don't think it's prone to my necromancer abilities as well.'

'Then that means...i need to find what it was healing it.'

Jihu thought as he took the initiative to use hes ability.

Jihu already had an idea in mind.

'Death Grab.'

Bone-like hands formed from the ground and took the monsters feet, making the monster tremble heavily.

Unfortunately, the monster strengthen itself and destroyed each bone that grabbed its feet.

"Micheal! Throw as many light arrows as possible!" He shouted at him.

Micheal was still avoiding the monsters attack but was able to hear jihu's order.

He began to quickly use his weapon and ability.

And finally, made its attack on the monster.

Once again, the monster screeched from the pain and tried to heal itself.

But as Micheal continued to attack, jihu jumped as he looked around the monster.

'FOUND IT!'

Jihu took a step back and grabbed each one of micheals arrows and shot each at the monster.

The arrow's impact and angle which jihu threw, was able to hit the spot which jihu found perfectly.

The monster screeched much louder.

Jihu and Micheal jumped far back as the monster cracked into pieces and the purple liquid shotted at the top of the room like a fountain.

The monster finally fell down onto the ground.

Thump.

"Finally..." Micheal sighed of relief.

The arrows from the monster somehow were still intact but the disappeared slpwly along with the monster.

The arrows hitted at one of the monster's tiniest amythest that was intact.

An amythest that healed the monster's wounds and pain.

Micheal was stunned from Jihu's talent.

The monster disappeared into dust.. as jihu took the core that was left.

Jihu used his mana on the core and the core crack opened.

Inside the core seems like some small weapon but after jihu took it, it turned into the same size as one of those other swords.

Jihu sighed deeply and summoned the system quest through his head.

[ Quest complete! Time : 00:01:12 ]

Jihu stared blankly at the system before he could give the weapon to micheal.

"This...for me?" Micheal was stunned.

Jihu glared at micheal, signaling to take it.

"Oh... Thanks!" Micheal smiled gently as he excitingly hold the sword in his hands.

[ If only he knew why you gave it to him. ] The system texted infront of jihu.

Jihu rolled hes eyes.

He looked at the time on his watch, then realized that it was almost 3 : pm.

"We should hurry." He spoke.

Micheal was a bit puzzled.

"Why can't we stay here a little longer?" Micheal asked tilting his head.

"It's better to go first then stay here longer." He replied.

Micheal shrugged and followed Jihu as they both went to the exit.

Somehow, Jihu was in a bit of a hurry, so micheal had to walk faster to follow him.

As they both went back to the banquet, micheal was shocked from the horrified scene.

"WHAT'S GOING ON!?" Micheal shouted.

"It seems like were a little late." Jihu spoke as he isn't a bit shocked from the scene.

Ofcourse, jihu already knows this was gonna happen.

The banquet was in ruins. The walls and decorations were already torn apart, and many of the students were injured.

The Huge S-class monster already took almost the entire banquet ceiling.

"We should've defeated that monster much earlier." Jihu mumbled as he sighed.

The monster was named as the; "Ravern of Terror". Its an S-class monster and has the looks of a reptile crocodile mixed with the wings of a dragon

'It's ugly.' Jihu thought as he glared at the monster.

jihu already knew that the monster would destroy the banquet, so he also knew how to defeat it.

Micheal looked at jihu with a sense of concern.

From Michael's experience with Kwan Jihu for the past two years, he had no choice but to rely on him, as Kwan jihu knew how to defeat it, and He, Himself didn't.

And he knew that very clearly.

Jihu looked back at micheal and nodded.

As Jihu was about to take out his weapon, He felt a familliar strike.

'!'

Suddenly, A red screen appeared out of nowhere.

[ ERROR! ERROR! ]

Jihu was stunned.

'System, whats going on!?' He asked the system.

[ Im not sure! An error must've occured! ] The system replied.

As jihu looked around the banquet frantically, he noticed a person with a red screen infront of them.

'...?'

As jihu went straight to that person. He instantly recognized him.

'This guy....'

From the start of the banquet where jihu suddenly noticed a familiar person, but because of the loaded students, he lost contact of that person.

It seems like jihu found that familliar person. Namely;

Kim johnson [ Or kim lee. ]

[ Woah! This guy has a red screen infront of him! ] The system replied.

Jihu, saw familliar mana around him. A similar mana to himself.

'...' Kwan jihu was silent, Glaring at kim's unconscious body, with an expression that looked slightly shocked.

As Kwan jihu was about to touch him, Kim lee instantly moved and grabbed jihu's arm.

Kim's eyes were red as rubies and an expression that is very unknown as he looked up and stared at him.

Jihu was stunned at the scene and immediately shook off kim's hand which was grabbing his arm and took a step back.

Kim stood up as he glared at jihu.

Jihu knew something was controlling him as the way he stood up.

"Who are you?" Jihu glared at kim as he took his weapon out and pointed at him.

Kim didn't answer, instead he approached slowly at the S-class monster, which is currently destroying the school building.

As jihu watched kim slowing walking away, he suddenly heared music appearing out of nowhere.

Jihu knew something wasn't right.

"HEY! YOU BETTER NO-" Before jihu could finish his sentence, Kim instantly opened his inventory and took a weapon out.

Jihu was stunned at the weapon kim was holding.

A Scythe. Namely; Anubis's scythe of death.

A weapon known for controlling a person. Which that person can use the weapon to instantly kill anyone within its path, and a weapon which Kwan jihu cannot control of.

'Is that why he is controlled? but how come he isn't killing anyone inside the banquet!?' Jihu thought.

Suddenly, the beat of the music got louder!

Kim instantly sprinted onto each of the monsters inside the banquet, With a speed that was incredible.

One by one, he instantly slashed Each B-Class To A-Class monster's accordingly to each beat of the music.

The speakers from the karaoke broke but the music didn't stop.

How is that even possible? Well, The music track followed him.

Kim's mana was mixed with unknown source of mana, which is a mana from the error system.

The mana makes a symbol of each beat.

Within kim's area is a music track made out of mana, or should i say, mana resembling sound waves for music.

The mana was colored in dark magic with red-like effects with it, which fits the music itself.

Each red color with a mix of black-like particles of mana resembled a music beat.

( Ex; ♪ )

Finally, Kim Sang.

♪ Conspicuousness is within... ♪

Kim's expression felt like it was no longer kim's usual face. His expression felt as if the horrors was mixed in with the music... An expression filled with dark thoughts and a smile so malicious it didn't seem to fit Kim's expression.

It was the first ever facial expression that kim was able to make.. for the very first time.

♪ Oh.... ♪

The lyrics was shown above kims head, that can be read by anyone. Like a music video with lyrics.

♪ Attract to...♪

The text fonts of the lyrics shown were as creepy as the music. but it somehow fits as well.

♪ Those from space... ♪

♪ Within.. ♪

Kims voice was hoarded from the songs he previously sang. But it somehow fitted the song well.

♪ ME. ♪

Kim conspicuously attracted each one of the monsters eyes along with the S-class monster, The ravern of terror.

Suddenly, the music got even louder! Every one of the students and teachers were shock from the horizon.

Jihu, was standing and glaring at kim as he threw each attack accordingly within each beat of the music.

The situation got into much more chaos as the monster tried to slay off kim.

But kim continued to sing along the lyrics as he avoided each of the B-A Class monster attacks and slayed off each one of them.

The ravern of terror, tried to slay off kim aswell. but was missed by kim's amazing speed from the music.

Micheal lorn ran at jihu, who was confused of the situation.

"ALEX!" Micheal shouted.

Jihu looked towards micheal.

"That song..." Micheal spoke of concern.

"That song was banned."

"What?" Jihu replied in confusion.

Yes, the song was banned and micheal knew when he heard that malicious beat.

[ A song named; A dungeon's rhythm was banned in every single country in the world! ] The system appeared infront of jihu.

'Banned?'

[ It was banned not because of it's bloody gore music but it can also attracted monsters in the dungeons and the actual world itself. ]

[ The song was formed by an unknown entity. The song was rumoured to spawn dungeons or makes dungeon breaks once you hear the beat. ]

[ For it to exist here.. ] The system answered of concern, along with two dots texted on the screen.

Jihu read the system with his eyebrows twitched.

"AH! HELP!" A random student pleaded for help.

"Wait!!" Micheal lorn shouted frantically as he tried to help the student.

Jihu was standing within the banquet, Rubbish and dusts were all around the room.

He... was quiet.

'....I don't think this happened in the novel. No, This was never part of the novel.' He thought.

Kwan jihu, Immediately took out his weapon and tried to kill off the ravern of terror.

Kwan jihu already knew how to defeat it.

As kwan jihu jumped at each wall to slash the raverns eyes, He was blocked by kims scythe.

He then fell from the ground, luckily, the fall was slow and jihu was able to avoid getting damaged from the fall.

Walls were falling apart as kim's scythe instantly slashed the ravern of terror's head in an instant as accordingly to the music and beat.

During the song, kim was continuously singing each word as he slash each monster.

Jihu.. was.. somewhat mad.

Mad at the fact kim took his chance to kill off the ravern of terror.

But jihu calmed himself.

'...' Jihu was quiet at the scene.

Finally, kim sang the lyrics that ended with.

♪ Within me.. ♪

The music track that followed kim and the lyrics above kim's head were instantly gone as the music was no longer.

And the small particles of mana that resembled music beats were also gone.

finally, wounds and scratches formed as kim fell on the hard dusty ground.

Somehow, he didn't feel an inch of dull pain because of the exhaustion and getting sobered from the alcohol he drank and only got half of his conciousness....only for a while.

Kim shook hes head and opened his right eye, He stood up from the ground and saw a familiar person in front of him.

Thats right, It was kwan jihu.

Kwan jihu wasn't able to do anything except watching the Ravern of terrors head crash down onto the ground along with its body.

Kwan jihu was somewhat mad at kim as he knew that kim took all of his kills.

But it already happened anyway, Jihu had no choice but to stand back and watch.

Kim looked around the area and approached jihu slowly.

"...Kwan....ji..hu..?" Kim mumbled as he made eye contact with jihu.

"What..?" jihu spoke.

Finally, kim passed out on the ground once more.

Jihu heared what kim mumbled.

'....how..?'

Jihu thought as he pulled down his eyebrows and stared at kim's passed-out face.

'....'
