CHAPTER 257: Robbing The Robbers

Several rough, bulky bandits suddenly jumped out from behind Janet. They grinned and shot at Han Shuo.

These guys all seemed to have cultivated combat aura. Each bandit was about two metres tall and exuded the ferocious pressure of a bear. Their momentum alone was enough to shock people.

"Eh, sorry, I still have something to do, so I can't stay here for long." Of course, Han Shuo wasn't afraid. When he saw those big guys approaching, he quickly shot up and slipped out from under the siege of the surrounding men like an eel.

His speed suddenly accelerated to that of a leopard. With a tap of his foot, Han Shuo leapt onto a huge tree and then jumped backwards more than ten metres. It looked like he'd soon be able to escape the bandits' encirclement.

"Damn it! Take him alive for me! There must be something wrong with that brat!" Janet was furious. Suddenly, she fiercely shot at Han Shuo and was actually able to move elegantly between the bushes, her eyes fixed on Han Shuo without letting go.

Several bandits had already fired a series of arrows and spears at Han Shuo at Janet's command. However, they had all heard her say 'alive', so they did not dare to aim these attacks at him, but instead shot at the path he was aiming at.

Han Shuo grinned. His body flashed left and right, up and down in a strange way. He just stayed in the middle of the forest, changing directions at an extremely fast pace. Not only did he dodge all the attacks, he even calmly explained, "Hey, Miss Bandit, you shouldn't be chasing me like this, I'm really not a spy."

"You say you're not a spy, but why are you running like a spy?" Janet was still in hot pursuit as she yelled angrily, "Brothers, who cares if he's a spy or not? Get him!"

This bandit group wasn't weak. The big guys chasing Han Shuo under Janet's orders all had the strength of senior swordsmen. There were several shabbily dressed mages whose power was also similar. Han Shuo would be in big trouble if they all worked together to stop him.

However, Han Shuo's current strength was unfathomable. The three Yin Demons he had unleashed could cover the entire area and monitor the surrounding situation. Several obstacles were spotted by the three Yin Demons in advance, so the distance between Han Shuo and the bandits gradually increased. His high speed, coupled with the extensive observation of the three Yin Demons, simply rendered the encirclement of Janet's gang useless.

This group of bandits seemed to have a good reputation. What's more, Han Shuo had some plans for them as well, but not the same ruthless way he had treated the Butcher's Gang. He didn't leave immediately after escaping their encirclement, but dragged them around to observe their quality and combat effectiveness through the Yin Demons' surveillance.

Of the more than one hundred bandits, most of them had trained combat aura, while a dozen or so were mages. As they pursued Han Shuo, their formations remained stable without any particular frenzy. Without Janet having to issue many commands, they all spread out in tacit agreement. If one side heard any movement from Han Shuo, they would immediately alert the others. Then they would all rush in, swordsmen, archers and mages arranged in an orderly fashion in the encirclement.

"They really have some power. No wonder they could become one of the most powerful forces in the Valley of Sunshine. Compared to the Butcher's band, this one is much more orderly. However, the Butcher's Bandits are more cruel and bloodthirsty." Han Shuo muttered to himself. He was hiding in the thick, lush foliage of a huge tree, clearly watching their movements through the three Yin Demons.

"Where is he? Have you lost him?!" Janet chased aggressively when she realised that they had lost all traces of Han Shuo. She shouted angrily at the bandits around her.

Whether it was her words or her actions, Janet did not have the gentle and tender demeanour of a girl. Perhaps because she had grown up in a bandit den, her behaviour had been completely influenced by the bandits. Her temper was wild and her behaviour rough. Although she looked gentle and pretty, the feeling she gave people was that of a big, proud man.

"Young lady, this person is even faster than a leopard and more cunning than a fox. Is he really a mage?" An old mage with a crippled leg said with a wry smile as he used his levitation skills to float to Janet's side.

"Old Billy, if he were a swordsman or a knight, would he fly to this place from afar? Damn it, are you so old that even your head is old?" Janet was still raging, her almond eyes rolling at the crippled old man as she huffed and cursed angrily.

Old Billy wasn't angry when she scolded him like that. He just hung his head with a wry smile, "Maybe I'm really old now, or maybe times have changed. How could a mage run faster than a leopard? I dare say he was running, not using levitation. Heavens, is he as special as you?"

"Search this area! This guy must be a spy, or he could be from the House of Menlo." Ignoring old Billy, Janet shouted to some bandits nearby.

"Not here, young miss!"

"I can't find him, he's gone!"

"He may have escaped!"

All sorts of helpless messages echoed around Janet. Obviously, the bandits had no way of discovering Han Shuo's existence.

It was already night. Only Janet and Billy were standing under the tree where Han Shuo was hiding. As for the other seven or eight bear-like bandits, they were in the middle of an area of waist-high weeds, about ten metres away from Janet.

Han Shuo, who was hiding in the foliage above, suddenly raised his voice to let out a long laugh and then flew straight down. He reached her in the blink of an eye and landed a blow containing magical yuan and surging evil aura at her head. Damn it!" Janet cursed as she pushed away the old Billy who was about to cast a spell. She curled her hand into a fist that emitted a dark green combat aura and aimed it at Han Shuo's punch above.

Seeing the dark green aura, Han Shuo immediately understood that she should only have the strength of a senior swordsman. He quickly reduced the magical yuan in his punch from eighty percent to thirty percent.

Bang! The dark green combat aura and Han Shuo's punch collided violently, then their fists collided. From Janet's small fist, a power that could shake the mountains and overturn the sea suddenly shot out. This power flipped the falling Han Shuo back up in the same trajectory he had fallen.

"How could that be?!" His right hand went numb. Han Shuo couldn't help but exclaim, his face horrified.

The green combat aura was the signature of a senior swordsman. From Han Shuo's experience, Janet could only withstand about thirty percent of the power of his magical yuan. However, even though Janet's combat aura dissipated when their blows collided, her small fist still emitted a terrifying power.

If it wasn't for Han Shuo's unusually strong body, her punch could have crippled his right hand. As far as he knew, the green combat aura of a senior swordsman couldn't generate such a great power.

This female bandit was a bit strange!

"Keke!" Janet let out a satisfied laugh at Han Shuo's horrified face. Then her space ring flashed and a spiked club appeared, bigger than her body. She held the club lightly in her left hand and giggled as she used the tall trees around her to leap towards Han Shuo. Han Shuo had not yet fallen when the spiked club viciously aimed at his waist and smashed down.

Han Shuo snorted coldly. He had just shown some goodwill and didn't expect to suffer a loss in return. When he saw Janet hit his lower body with her spiked club, he became a bit angry. His body, which had been made dizzy by the strong force earlier, suddenly stopped in mid-air as he aimed a similar blow directly at Janet's spiked club.

A rumble. A huge boom followed by Janet's surprised yelp. She had used the tree trunks to leap up, but now both her body and the studded club were thrown back down violently. As her butt hit the ground, Janet looked in horror at the proud Han Shuo standing in the air.

"Son of a bitch! Pretending to be a pig to eat a tiger!" Janet couldn't help but let out a vulgar curse. Her breathing was heavy for a while before she grabbed the spiked club to fight again.

Han Shuo was shocked. He hadn't expected Janet to get up so quickly. Without letting him make another move, the large mercenaries around her rushed in together. The old crippled mage Billy had also finished his spell. Cold winds whistled as they turned into piercing, sharp blades that whizzed forward.

He was indeed a Wind Archmage! Han Shuo was stunned for a moment. Now that he knew of Janet's power, he didn't stay here any longer.

He flew to hide in the foliage of the tree behind them, then made a few leaps and dropped down onto a carriage belonging to the bandits. As soon as he landed, he used the Demonslayer's Edge to slash open the top of the carriage. While no one was paying attention, he grabbed an unsuspecting young woman, suppressed her powers and flew out.

"You villain, let me go! Hurry and let me go, or Janet won't let you go!" This young woman was utterly beautiful, crescent-shaped eyebrows, a pair of clear, bright eyes. Her voice was soft, even though she was shouting angrily.

"Janet, I'm taking this girl with me. If you want to rescue her, come to the Soul Destroyer mercenary group." Han Shuo grabbed the young woman, ignoring her screams. He laughed loudly and walked away.

"Scoundrel! Let go of my wife or I'll never be done with you!" Janet was furious as she roared to the heavens, then cursed constantly and vulgarly. She hadn't a bit of the manners a gentle girl should have.
