Everything Out

Excerpt ~ Now, Kendrell felt color draining from his face. " I'm. not. a. thief." he said, word for word. " I should be calling you that, not the other way round. What explains why you're in a male restroom, with a parcel in your hands?'' Kendrell asked. " Because it's mine and you stole it." Morticia replied. " No I didn't. And it's not yours!" Ken exclaimed. " Then it's yours?" " No. It's not mine either.'' Kendrell answered. Scoffing, Morticia remarked, " Great. Now we have a confused thief.'' And that was it! That was how much he could take! Taking three more steps, he stood right in front of her. " Hand it to me, so we can both leave here peacefully." Kendrell said calmly. Clearing her throat again, Morticia replied " No, I will not and I'm still gonna leave peacefully." Dropping her hands to her sides, Morticia turned to leave. But without taking another step further, Kendrell grabbed her left hand by the wrist, forcing her to face him again. But a little more than that happened, as her face collided with his chest, while her hair brushed his defined jaw. In a trice, Morticia stepped backwards, and on the third step, her back touched the wall. Kendrell then closed in on the distance between them, before he placed his hands on the wall, right above her shoulders. Bending his back a little, he spoke up, more like in a domineering manner, as his voice was somewhere between a whisper, sounding devilishly hoarse. " I'm not a thief and you are gonna hand it over to me. Why? Because it's not yours and it's not mine either." Pausing, he continued seconds later as Morticia couldn't say anything " I won't explain myself to a... stranger like you." Ken said, looking at Morticia who had goosebumps all over her. " So just give it to me, so_" " I don't think it's right for you both to give it to each other in the open." commented a viking haired guy who had just opened the door, only to find Morticia and Kendrell in a rather intimate position. " Maybe you can find a more private location." he said. " The type that accommodates positions too." he added with a grin. Morticia was dumbstruck with terror! Her cheeks grew hotter. Hotter because it was already hot while Kendrell was speaking things her brain failed to put into meaning. ~ What does the future hold for these two? _ IG: Cristabelxx Discord: https://discord.gg/qvcywz4CNX

Chapter Five: Savior

***** At the hospital *****

Slowly, Morticia opened her eyes with her head and neck throbbing with pain.

" Where am I? Am I in Heaven already?" She asked rhetorically. Surprisingly, she heard someone scoff.

" Indeed you are. Welcome, my child, to the other side" Jenna the stranger said, waist bowing dramatically.

" Huh, excuse me miss, but where am I?" Morticia asked weakly.

" Oh, did my black trouser and lemon t-shirt confuse you? You're in Heaven ALREADY since you've been expecting it for a long time. You even came on a bed. That's a very limited offer over here you know. It's 30% percent off till the end of the month. So if I'm to do the maths correctly, 30% off a thousand dollar, since you have like 20 more days to the end of the month should be equal to...

YOU'RE IN A FUCKING HOSPITAL!!!!!!!" Jenna half yelled.

" What's it with me and meeting naive people. First that scumbag, and now you" she said facepalming.

" How is Heaven the first, no, second question that comes to mind, right after finding yourself in a mysterious place. Have you always looked forward to that? " Jenna asked with her gaze fixated on the weird lady in front of her.

"Who are you? And what are you doing here? How did I end up here? Why am I here?" Morticia asked choosing to ignore Jenna's questions.

" So that's it? You choose to be a rude baby and still have the guts to ask questions?" She said blinking repeatedly. " You know what? " She continued after some time " I think you need sometime alone. So you can think of all that happened to you, cause you seem to have TGA, I think. So, goodbye miss. I wish you all the best going forward. I gotta go! A girl needs to sleep at night to avoid panda eyes ish!. Anyways, Byeee! " She said in a tone that wasn't without an ounce of jeer.

" Wait Miss! I'm sorry. It's just that I was caught off guard for a moment. I was just confused as to how I ended up here. " Morticia said apologetically.

Jenna who had expected nothing less smirked, before turning around.

" Well then. I guess we both have to come to a mutual agreement. You tell me what I need to know, then I'll fill you in as well. What do you say?" Jenna asked.

" Fine, I agree. But..."

" But you don't seem to remember what happened to you, do you?" Jenna asked and Morticia nodded.

" Well then, I guess I'll see you in the morning. Ciao!"

" Are you seriously doing this?" Morticia asked with a crestfallen gaze directed at Jenna.

" Ugh! Fine " Jenna mumbled incoherently.

" I went out to run some errands, to deliver a message from my boss to some asshole who eventually kept me waiting for hours till it started raining. I had to take shelter in front of a store till it stopped raining. On my way back, I saw a living being that was seemingly folded like some hedgehog under the Oak tree, and it happened to be you. " Jenna stated with a teasing smile. While Morticia managed to roll her eyes.

" Then I walked up to you. Repeatedly asking if you were okay. You barely nodded. And then it seemed as if you were checking your fingers out or something so I turned my flashlight on, suddenly you jolted and stood up almost immediately. You eventually developed spaghetti legs as soon as you stood up and the rest is history" Jenna said.

" Actually, that's not all" Jenna added and Morticia struggled to sit up almost immediately.

" I actually had to call a couple of guys to carry you to the hospital like a corpse, but you see nothing comes for free in life. So I had to promise to reward them. "

" What's the reward?" Morticia asked with a tinge of worry.

" I told them they could all hit on you " Jenna said.

" Don't worry though, after you've fully recovered" Jenna said with indifference.

Morticia was dumbstruck with terror. Her body became stiff.

Seeing her reaction, Jenna threw her head back in fits of laughter. While Morticia struggled to breathe.

" So you really bought that?" Jenna asked after managing to compose herself.

" I was only pulling your legs, silly!"

Morticia held her hands to her palpitating heart as she finally managed to breathe.

" I don't even know your name. My name is Jenna by the way, Jenna Smith. But you can call me Savior" she said with a wink.

" What's your name?" Jenna asked but Morticia said nothing. Jenna continued,

" I guess I'll have to name you myself. Maybe Ms. Naive, silly lady or little Ms. dumbdumb"

Jenna noticed the sudden change in Morticia's facial expression when she called her little Ms. Dumbdumb. ' I must've irked her with that one. ' Jenna thought inwardly. She was about asking Morticia if she was really pissed when...

" Ahhhh! It hurts, it hurts it hurts" Morticia cried

" What hurts? Where does it hurt? " Jenna asked genuinely worried about the lady in front of her.

Morticia only intensified the show she was putting up.

" Ouch! Somebody help me. It hurts a lot! Ahhhh"

" Okay, take it easy. I'll go get the doctor, hold on okay?"

In a bid to get the doctor, hastily, Jenna's phone fell out of her purse. But she hadn't the time to sulk over it, so she kept it on the drawer and headed for the door. After she left, Morticia couldn't help but feel sorry for her.

But she had to do what she did because she knew Jenna was going to push the button, and she wasn't ready for Q&A sessions. When Jenna called her Ms. Dumbdumb, it stirred up a familiar unpleasant feeling in her. But all she wanted at the moment was to recover completely, before she faced whatever the past and future held in store for her. She didn't remember much, and she didn't want to stress it, till she was ready. For all she knew, it wasn't ' a blast from the past' kind of life.

Hearing the door creak, Morticia resumed whining.

" Doc, my head hurts " Morticia complained when the doctor walked in.

" Don't worry miss. You'll be fine." The doctor said while assessing her level of consciousness.

After a while, the doctor asked;

" Do you know how you got here Ms...."

"Morticia, Morticia Miles" Morticia replied.

" So that's the name huh?" Jenna butted in.

Choosing to ignore her, Morticia answered,

" No doc, I don't. This lady said she found me under an Oak tree."

"I can't seem to remember much. "Morticia added in a bid to avoid further questions.

She knew the doctor was trying to engage her in 'small talks' so he could assess her mental state. But she was trying to avoid all of that.

The nurse who walked in with the doctor, then injected a Ketorolac in her arm to serve as a short term pain relief.

" Okay then. We will all excuse you to have some rest. " The doctor said and Jenna took that as a cue to leave.

" See you later Ms. Ticy ." Jenna said with a wink, as she dramatically headed for the door.

When they all left, Morticia heaved a sigh of relief.

" Morticia! where are you?! You cursed brat!" Morgan Sanchez shouted.

Morticia hid behind the bathroom door, trying with every ounce of her to keep her body stiff and bury her sobs.

" I can perceive that stupid scent of yours. Now be a good girl and come out and face uncle Morgy" Morgan stated as though he was trying to placate a little baby.

" Morticiaaaa, come out and plaaaaaaay.

"I'm running out of patience, running out of patience. Running out, running out, running out of patience..." Morgan sang in a sinister tone. As he continued to sniff the air like a sniffer dog.

Slowly, his gut feeling led him to bathroom of his abandoned carpentry shop.

"Morticiaaaa, Morti...."

Out of fright, Morticia peeped through the keyhole of the door when he suddenly stopped speaking.

Cautiously, she opened the door and looked around but found no one. Then she released the breathe she knew she was holding.

" Behind You!!!!!!! " Morgan said with a sinister and deadly look in his eyes.

Before Morticia could fathom what was happening, Morgan pushed her aside and slammed the door, Shut!
