E.G.F.W.I? Chapter18 -Finally awake-

-Tenka P.O.V-

The camp looks good, in three week's the now awaken people cut a lot of trees. With Berth help they could build 20 cabin's. Sam's tool's make thing's easy. When I showed them how to use the crankshaft they were enlightened. With Barabas in my head, I have some of Sam memories. I even spent time with Riley and her daughter Ruly to teach them blacksmithing.

What Barabas could gather at least. Now that he's is not connected to Sam. He has to remember thing's by himself. Like searching in a mess.

I can see progress.

I heard Red was skulking all this time. He stayed by Temate and suki and slept most of the time. Once we arrived at the camp, he left without waiting for me to wake up. Not that I blame him. He's still a wolf after all. We were supposed to meet him a day late and now is almost three week's. On top of that Sam is not here. Poor Red.

Rain keep pouring everyday.

I left the command of camp to Temate. What I did is a school. Of all the idealistic idea Sam has, this is the first on the list. I personally teach the teens. There are seven of them. Izuka15, Akira14, Mily13, Pachy15, Enta12, all orphan's, Tema13 adopted by Uly, a young mother and her daughter Utata11.

Matema, Tali and Rita take care of the toddler's, Tio2 daughter of Xeo32, Sera4 daughter of Sati27, Luqui5 and Mito3 daughter's of Rita(cough.?.), Kely6 daughter of kata35 and Zama0 The baby boy. Ruly7 stay with her mother Riley34.

That leaves 11 people for Temate to Lead, including the now tree healthy elder's. They gained enough pep to walk about at least and not croak. Except Nalia she took part in the battle and in her 60's, now look like 30's. She trains at her own pace alone. The way of life we had, prevented her to share her experience before. Now, her knowledge astounds many. Unlike Sam and the other's, it was now the first time she witnesses supernatural thing's. She told them about the big stone city's in the west. The great ocean in the east. The Fireland in the north and the Great crater in the south.

Here is called the dark forest. The fierce nature keeps most human's away. They have busy lives and don't care much for this place. They said even further west there is other races fighting. When it's not human's fighting...

Nature was the best place for her so she came back home and settled down in peace until a certain person appeared.

She came up with a wind slash on her own and teach it to whoever can.

Days goes one by one slowly two month's passes.

No news of Sam at all. I stopped worried a while back . I keep looking forward, knowing he will come back.

This place is perfect. Defense, offence and retreat across a retractable rope bridge that we can cut.

Talk begins to happen in our circumstances. We only have one male and he's not even a year old yet.

I told them it's still a bit early, but I was actually shot down. The first time I lost an argument. But in the end I'm the one who proposed the plan to capture males. Nobody would object to my battle plan's, But I admit I lack in the relationship area.

Before the team could Finnish, the plan Mily came running and told us Sam is back!

-Red P.O.V.-

(I smell Master!)

I run with all my might, but when I get there, I see fainted Tenka and Salaba. I confirm the smell come from them.

(MASTER!)

I bolt toward the last place we saw each other. In an' hour I made a trip that takes the weak human's tree day's. Even the bad weather didn't slow me.

Once I get there, the place is a mess there is nothing about our old life intact. All that is left is a huge crater shaped like the half of a doughnut. In the protruding center rests a brown ball, sucking air, an energy from the land. The cloud's gather from all around and disappear above the ball. Even with all that rain, the crater is still dry.

I feel a presence behind me like it appeared out of nowhere. No smell, no sound. My fur stand up. Before I can turn around the person talk to me telepathically.

???-(Hello child. Your master seem to have a hard time.)

I turn around to see a strange woman. Her skin is green and her revealing clothes are made of spider silk. You can see a few spider's still taking care of the light dress.

-3rd person P.O.V.-

Red body gets Wrapped into a big reddish cocoon. Spider's multiply and become smaller and smaller until the cellular level. They unlock genetic pattern from higher level canine species. Even godly canine figures of all flavor's from this world get in the lot. It's up to him to draw.

This mechanism appears in a mathematical way from the subconscious, DNA and external factor's, of the Evolver. Right now he his beside the huge vortex that Sam is causing, which is an' Important external factor.

The mass of energy that Sam became exert pressure on him. Ones of the last thought he had before falling asleep was;

(She said poor boy, but if I managed to peek my potential before a quarter of my lifespan is passed, Imagine what I could do with more potential.)

No vortex happened on Red side. Instead Root's came from the ground an in a giant web connected trough the forest, transferred the required strength to form.

??? -(This is the first time in my millions of year's of life that I have seen such freak's. What kind of bloodline, this dog went toward!?)

A little strand of silk extends from the cocoon and reach for the ball where Sam is and connect the two. Black goo came from the Sam side while grey goo made of trillions of spider's met at the center, exchange a bit of material. Once a drop exchanged sides, the silk broke off and they absorb their respective drops.

One week pass.

The vortex is a lot smaller than before, and Red absorption also seems to slow down. The cloud's finally manage to soak the ground. Thunder starts falling. Rain pour and most river's overflow.

The unnatural behavior of the atmospheric and earth energy attracted the attention of many eye's and ear's trough all the races in the vicinity of the Dark Forest. Lucky it's not the whole world, cause only the Dark Forest alone is as big as the surface of earth.

Some hope to find treasure some want to fight, but one wants to use his brotherhood to deal with a problem.

Beno, after his disgraceful but not unexpected failure reported The tale like he was not there unconcerned. He gave the Chaos brotherhood everything he could. Not that he could hold anything back.

Then the phenomenon happen while he was still in Mefalon city. He got grabbed before he could leave. Interrogated, beaten a bit, then released. He even got demoted, not that they could demote him further, so they just punished someone else to go deal with the territory on top of him.

That was one of the only few bitches that think it's a good idea to join a brotherhood. Of course, if you don't want to die, better not piss her off. They are bloody crazy...

So now this is the new nightmare he has to face every day. Now Beno is slaving for her. She has been sent here cause her hobby extended to the brotherhood.

In Beno's brain it mean she raped and tortured many brother's to get here. That is without thinking of her enemy's and civilian's.

Of course, these wicked souls get stronger by accumulating negative karma, feeling and energy, depending on races and other thing's. In the grand scheme of thing's, they are super small time, compared to people who create war's, conflict's and atrocities.

The ball now just barely two meter, l became gray/white like ash. Very smooth. A lightning bolt falls on it announcing the end of his transformation. It crumbles to dust revealing a near dead state Sam.

The lightning barely grazed him and didn't do any damage. It's his mind The problem. He has only 1/7th of his mental faculties. His body is changed, it's not visible from the outside. But inside he feel's like a new world. His coordination is all wrong. Right now he is lying in the mud drinking rain. He let his mind and body slowly come out of the stupor. The "other's" in the Mindscape seem to be still sleeping.

Sam (It's like being drunk to a new level. I hate being drunk. I don't even want to think about the mindscape now, I will just puke.)

He try to stay awake but it's futile. Tough his instinct kicked in and Red seem to Wake up because of his master's connection.

He did not come out of the cocoon yet, but connected to the root's to know if someone come close, and urge the completion a bit but without rushing too much. Just being awake while your body is being rebuilt must be... strange... on top, he can feel trough tree's senses.

The energy he was absorbing was one that Sam did not this time. It was vitality. Precious resource in a body. He balances himself to have the same potential as Sam. Unknown.

Two day's later the cocoon shred to pieces. A' humanoid wolf stands there on two leg's. He does not look human but more like a wolf with human's limbs, straight back and shorter nose and jawline. His golden yes didn't change. He still has his Red fur and tail. But now has five finger's. The claws grow from the knuckles. His feet are almost human but he stand on the tip of his toes and his nail's dig in the ground. (Dog version of Kajiit)

-Sam P.O.V.-

I shout in a hoarse voice.

"Shut up and help me Red!"

Red-(Master! Hahaha!)-

He run to me in his new form and see my state. He crouch down and start licking my face.

"Haaaarg... you... fuck...BACK OFF!"

He seem to feel bad.

"Sorry Red, don't lick me in this form. Get used to it cause Your erected cock is never coming near me again dude. And I need food Now! My head hurt out of hunger. And again, don't feel bad, you just need time to adapt. I will never leave you behind remember!"

Red-"Hai"-

His first word hehe. And my first meal happened to be a raw hedgehog. Once I got passed the trauma, the taste was delicious. Like my brain finally came back to life if only a little bit. Red got many more.... Berries, and more hedgehog since I think it's the safest meat to eat raw except fish, but red is not fishing. Better safe then sorry.
