Five

It's morning again and Xia wasn't ready to get up from the bed due to the fact that she stayed up late. But the noise coming from Damien as he pulled away her bed cover made her open her eyes grudgingly.

"Rise and Shine sleepy head". Damien said pulling the bed cover away from her.

Xia turned to face him as she looked at him. "What are you doing here?". She asked him in Greek.

Damien stood dumbfounded as he paused taking a good look at her. I thought the universe answered my prayer then what is this? He asked himself as he took a seat on the bed.

Xia laughed as she looked at how his countenance fell. "Disappointed that much?". She asked in English as Damien turned to look at her with his face brightening up with a smile. "You should have seen your face just now". She said as she showed him how he looked when his countenance fell causing Damien to laugh.

"How dare you play such games with me uh?". He asked as he grabbed her pillow hitting it on her shoulders.

"you know I can make you freeze right?".

Hearing that, Damien dropped the pillow as he moved to the door. "We'll be downstairs". Without another glance, he left her room.

Xia laughed as she went into the bathroom. She already knew how to use the shower so she didn't need any assistance.

Damien went downstairs to meet his mom who was speaking to the gas repairer. "Is he almost done yet?". He asked as his mother shook her head.

"what about Xia?". His mom asked not taking her eyes off the repairer.

"you know I can freeze you right? lala". The thought came as Damien grabbed a bottle of water gulping it as his mother looked at him.

"Are you alright?". She asked. Damien nodded but of course his mom didn't believe him, she knew her son too well to know when he is lying.

"Damien, I need your help". Xia called loud enough for everyone in the whole neighbourhood to hear.

"Xia use your indoor voice please". Lucy said.

"Sorry". She said softly but everyone in the sitting room could hear her. "Damien". She called but Damien refused to answer her.

Eudoxia made sure she wasn't visible so she could get a closer look at Damien and maybe perhaps do something to him. When she saw he was drinking water and totally pretending not to hear her, with a snap of her finger, the bottle water dropped on the ground as the water spilled on Damien and the repairer.

Damien looked at her and when their eyes met she froze him making him look at one direction.

Lucy couldn't stop laughing. The repairer turned to look at Damien and when he saw he wasn't moving, he went closer to him. "Your son is quite skillful... A talent like this can earn him a fortune". The man said as he touched Damien's body.

"Tell me about it". Lucy said. She knew if Damien could move, he would be giving her a weird look right now.

"Mind if I take a video of this? My daughter would love this". The man asked.

"I'm sure he wouldn't mind". Xia said coming downstairs in her fully dressed blue gown.

Although Lucy was surprised to hear Xia speak in english she decided not to show it in order not to create suspicion.

"thank you". The man said as he brought out his phone and started the video recording.

"I would like the video too". Lucy said as she gave Xia a wink which made her chuckle.

After they had finished the video, Xia set him free as the repairer applauded not knowing what was really going on.

Damien knew what had happened and he went to meet Xia who was busy peeling some apples pretending not to know what happened. "I'm sure you enjoyed the show". Damien said as he stole some apples from her.

"I have no idea what you're talking about". She said as she collected the apple from him. "oh you mean this?". She brought out Lucy's phone as she showed him the video.

Damien tried to collect the video but he couldn't because Xia kept using her powers to stop him. "you are no match for me". She said as she ate the apple, licking her lips as she moaned. "Delicious".

"Stingy". Damien said as he moved away from her.

She continued to moan as she ate the apples trying to infuriate him. "Want some?" she asked pointing the apple to him. Before he could have a bite Xia pulled the apple away from him making him almost kiss her by mistake.

The thought of last night flashed in as Xia quickly put the apple in his mouth and left him.

Damien was surprised to see she surrendered fast. He watched her walk away as he ate the apple wondering what would make her surrender so easily. There's got to be something and he knows it but what? He asked himself.

"Thank you so much for your help". Lucy thanked the man and paid him off as they watched him leave. Turning to see both Damien and Xia on different side of the kitchen table made her wonder if something happened between them. "Are you both ready?" Lucy asked as Xia and Damien glanced at each other.

"Where are we going to again?". Xia asked as they walked out of the house.

"To sell your kidney". Damien replied as she gave him a shut up look.

"We're getting you a make over. We don't want you freezing people anytime they look at you and besides, we don't know who might be here to hunt you". Lucy explained.

"But I don't freeze people anytime they look at me". Xia tried to argue but when a little child passed and looked at her, he froze.

"You say what?". Damien said immediately that happened showing her that she can't argue the truth. She needs a make over and she needs it now.

Eudoxia later agreed that she did need a make over. The little boy was released as he went his way.

Just as they were about leaving, Damien's phone rang cursing Aliena to groan so loud that she held her head.

"Switch that off!". Lucy said as Damien looked at the caller, it was his girlfriend. He hadn't spoken to her after Xia came in. He's either got to pick her call or hang but what would he do? He has never hung up on her before. "Damien". His mom called as she watched Aliena still groaning in pain.

The buzzing sound was affecting her ear and her brain.

Damien hung up as Xia stopped groaning but her ears were bleeding and they weren't human red blood but  blue. "Are you okay?" he asked as he tried to touch her ears but she told him not to.

She closed her eyes and immediately the blood disappeared. Opening her eyes, she saw the shocked mother and son. Good thing no one saw this.

They continued as they journeyed to the make up store.

"How may we help you?". The staffs asked as Lucy attended to the staff telling them what she needs to be done on Xia while Damien went to the clothes store as he searches for some clothes for his girlfriend. An apology present for hanging up the call on her.

The staffs took Xia to their room as they attended to her. After few minutes she was done.

"you look beautiful". Lucy said as she smiled.

"Thank you". Xia said looking around for Damien.

Lucy noticed that she was looking for Damien so she took her to where he was. "He should be around here somewhere". Lucy said as she searches with her eyes but she couldn't find him. "just stay here let me check around". Xia nodded.

Xia looked at the clothes that were in sale and she couldn't believe how beautiful those clothes were. She was about picking a pink crop top when someone grabbed the crop top too. She turned to see Damien but before she could say anything, Damien was looking at her somehow like she was a total different person.

"I'm sorry but I had an eye on it first". Damien said trying to pull the top from her but Xia didn't let him succeed now that she can't freeze him or use her powers, this is a battle between her without powers and Damien the mere human. She found out that without using her powers, she was easily vulnerable.

"but I got it first". she said trying to pull the top to herself.

"I need that for someone important. You can get any other tops here just not this one".

"Why don't you do that?".

They both argued pulling the crop top but since this is a battle for survival of the fittest, Damien pulled the top and immediately Xia was pulled too making her fall on him to the ground.

"Xia". Lucy called as she pulled her away from Damien

Damien didn't believe his ears. "Xia?". He asked trying to confirm if he heard right.

"Yes, don't you recognize her?". Lucy asked.

Damien looked at her from her head to toe. Her curly black hair packed in a pony tail, her eyes were no longer blue but amber. She used a pink lip gloss that made her lips look soft and wet.

"You're beautiful". He didn't even know when those words came out of his mouth and he didn't mind. Shaking his head to get his head straight, he handed her the top.

"didn't you say it was meant for someone special?". She asked.

"I did and I wasn't wrong".

"then why are you giving it to me?".

"Why do you think I am?". He asked as  he watched his mom smiling.

Xia thought about it for a while then she smiled. "Because that special someone is....".

"you". Damien finished her words as she hugged him.

Damian became stunned not knowing if to hug her back or wait until she was done hugging him but he did neither. He pulled her away from him as he shook his body. "Don't hug me without permission".

"Why? Are you scared you might start fa...". Xia paused as Damien turned to face her. She coughed swallowing back her words.

"You think I will fall for you?". Damien asked. This time it was Xia who's scared of meeting his eyes. "oh! now you're shy".

"I think we should better leave now".As she tried to leave, Damien pulled her by the wrist as he made her stand in front of him.

"Do you think you have what it takes to make me fall for you?". Damien asked. "you're just an alien, I doubt you even know what love mean".

Xia didn't like where the conversation was going. She could feel some changes in the way his voice sounded. She was only joking about it but why is he taking it to heart?

"I didn't mean it that way... I was jus...".

"I can never love you Xia because you're nothing but an alien. I have a girlfriend and I love her so much and I will choose her over you anytime and any day". And with that he left her as she followed after him.

"Girlfriend?" Xia thought. "What's that?". She asked herself. "And why is he being so sensitive about this? Could there be something I don't know that I should?". She thought.
