Ethan

My body jolted as I pressed my hand to my heart as my eyes were met with six pairs of eyes. Wilhelm, Denise, Simon, Charlotte, Jesse and Emma all stood in my kitchen with a bottle of wine in Simon's hand whilst Charlotte had been about to prepare a meal.

I felt deeply confused about what they were doing in the townhouse until I remembered I had given them access with my cleaners to come in. "I thought your flight was only landing tonight," I let out a shaky breath as I gave them a small smile, yet even it felt unnatural to me at that moment.

"We lied," Wilhelm waved his hand, "We wanted to surprise you. It's been a year!" They all came to hug me seemingly excited to be back in London. "Demyan was here when we arrived, he seemed just as surprised," he chuckled.

My heart fell. I could tell the kitchen looked slightly different from a few missing personal items. "Was he?"
