End of My Cane

Demyan

"Well that's stupid. I thought you wanted to marry her," I mumbled and stared at his hand that held mine as he lightly fiddled with my fingers.

"I do, but not right now," he smiled, "Now stop being upset with me Demyan. I can't take the stress anymore."

That day I ended up forgiving him, he took me camping out in the forest. Just the two of us and he spent every single day with me and my siblings with his little brother.

When I got back to London the thought of a wedding and marriage kept on replaying in my mind. I had never thought of it, never found anyone worthy of marrying me but the idea of marrying Ethan was enough to pull out my scrapbook from its hidden compartment and start planning.

I was so eager with it that it kept the thought he wanted to marry Lynne out of my mind. I bought wedding magazine after wedding magazine and I would spend hours researching what I wanted.
