"I heard a knock on my door, and my sister walked in with her assignment book in hand.
'Bella, I need your help with my work,' she said. I asked her what the work was about, and she handed me the book.
I took the pen from her and solved the math problem, then gave the book back to her to finish the rest herself.
'By the way, have you heard from Jessica? I miss her a lot,' Alice asked me after completing her assignment."
"I picked up my phone from the table and read the text from my friend inviting me to her place.
'She texted this afternoon asking me to come over, but I'm not sure if I can make it,' I replied to Alice.
'So I guess she won't be coming over here this evening,' Alice asked, and I nodded in response.
Just then, our mom called us down to eat dinner, 'Alice, Bella, come downstairs and eat your food!' she shouted.
Alice quickly left my room and headed downstairs to eat since she hardly had anything to eat during the day."
"I joined my family for dinner but left shortly after to go back to my room.
I heard my mom ask my sister, 'Is Bella okay?' to which Alice replied, 'I don't know, maybe she's not in her usual mood today.
Besides, ever since she broke up with Edwards, she hasn't been herself.'
Alice was right because since Edwards broke up with me after a two-year relationship, I haven't been the same.
I don't know what I did to make him leave me for someone else."
"I made the decision to move on from Edwards and forget about him since he had already moved on with someone else.
I went to the washroom to take a quick shower before going to bed, knowing that tomorrow is another day to go to school.
The next morning, Alice woke me up and reminded me that we needed to get ready for school.
'Wake up, Bella! It's already morning and we need to go to school. Lazy bones, get ready! We're almost late and we might miss the bus again like yesterday,' she said before leaving my room.
After Alice left, I lay on the bed and wished I didn't have to go to school today. I really needed some more sleep."
"I suddenly felt cold water pouring over my body, causing me to jump out of bed in surprise.
I quickly realized that Alice had come back to the room and saw that I was still sleeping.
She laughed at me, knowing that I dislike cold water. 'What's that for, Alice?' I asked, feeling slightly annoyed.
'Sorry, sis. I had no choice but to pour water on you since you weren't getting up for school. Should I pour another glass?' she teased, walking towards me with a glass of water."
"You better stop, Alice. If I get my hands on you, you won't like what I'll do this morning," I warned her, trying to prevent her from pouring any more water on me.
"What will you do, sis? You can't do anything," she replied, smirking. "Oh, really?" I challenged her, feeling mischievous. I quickly thought of a way to get back at her.
An idea suddenly came to me, and I decided to play a prank on her.
"Alice, look! There's a lizard behind you!" I exclaimed, pointing at a random spot on the wall.
She immediately started screaming, and I took advantage of the opportunity to grab her.
"Gotcha!" I said triumphantly, holding onto her as we both struggled and fell onto the bed.
Alice looked at me and smiled. "I'm sorry for distracting you from your sleep and pouring water on you. Please forgive me,"
she said, giving me puppy eyes. "I'll let you go this time, but next time, I'll do something to you if you try this again,"
I warned her playfully. "Yes, ma'am," she responded, smiling. Then I leaned in to kiss her, but she pushed me away. "Are you crazy, Bella? You didn't brush your teeth, and you're trying to kiss me?"
she said, making a disgusted face. We both laughed, and Alice went to the washroom to clean her lips.
She came back to join me in the room. "You're disgusting," she said, playfully hitting me on the shoulder.
"I got up and headed to the bathroom to take a shower.
Suddenly, Alice barged in and poured the remaining water on me, then ran out of the room.
"Love you sis!" she shouted. I rolled my eyes and shook my head at her silly behavior.
After my shower, I quickly got dressed and checked the time. It was almost 8 o'clock and I still had to get ready for Mr. Jerry's class.
I rushed out of the bathroom and grabbed my bag and phone before heading towards the door.
As I passed the dining table, I noticed Alice and our mom having breakfast.
I decided to join them for a quick bite before leaving the house.
As I stood up from the dinning table then I heard the bus blowing it horn and Alice got up also still holding her sandwich in her hand. " bye mum" she said to her and peck her and left the room.
I grabbed my bag and rushed to the door, yelling out a goodbye to my mom as I went.
Alice was already on the bus, waving to me from her seat. I hurriedly climbed aboard and found a seat next to her, grateful to have made it just in time.
The bus rode to Texas Street to pick up some other students before continuing on to school.
I wondered if Jessica had made it to school that morning since she hadn't called me.
When we arrived, Alice and I got off the bus and went to our separate classes.
"See you during break time," Alice said, giving me a hug before heading to her class. I made my way to mine, hoping for a good day ahead.
