10. I AM SURE

As they stepped out of the staffroom, Billy pleaded with Austin not to drag him any further, his voice tinged with desperation. Austin released his hold on Billy's hoodie collar, but his frustration was palpable.

"Do you want to be kicked out of college?" Austin's voice was stern as he admonished Billy. "You worked hard to earn your rank in the entrance test, and now you're jeopardizing it all."

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to cause trouble," Billy apologized earnestly, his heart racing with anxiety.

"What's going on with you? Is something controlling your mind?" Austin probed, gently tapping Billy's head.

"No," Billy replied adamantly, shaking his head.

"Then why are you acting like this? You proposed to a woman who's seven years older than you two times in the span of just 24 hours," Austin argued, his concern evident.

"I can't help it. I lose control around her. I just want her," Billy confessed, his voice tinged with desperation, drawing curious glances from passersby.

Taking Billy by the arm, Austin guided him towards the classroom. "Are you serious about professor Amy?" Austin asked, his tone serious as he walked ahead of Billy.

"Yes, I'm serious about her," Billy replied confidently, his determination clear in his voice.

"What will you do if she decides to file a complaint against you?" Austin pressed, his brows furrowing with concern.

"She won't," Billy responded instantly, a spark of confidence gleaming in his eyes. "It's my instinct. She definitely won't file a complaint against me."

Austin paused for a moment, still walking ahead, before a small smile tugged at the corners of his lips. "Okay," he said, turning his head back to look at Billy. "I won't tell Mom, Dad, or Big Sis. You can win over professor Amy, but only if you promise me one thing."

"What is it?" Billy asked, intrigued by Austin's condition.

"If I hear even a hint of a complaint about you harassing Amy, I'll have no choice but to hand you over to Big Sis and tell her everything you've done," Austin warned, his gaze piercing and serious.

"I won't," Billy replied, a shiver running down his spine at the thought of facing his sister's wrath.

"That's good," Austin said, his smile softening his previously stern expression. "Class is about to start," he added, resuming their walk towards the classroom.

After a few lectures, it was finally Professor Amy's turn to take the class. As she entered, her expression was visibly irritated, likely because of Billy's presence. All eyes shifted from her to Billy, who sat in the final row at the top.

Billy, feeling embarrassed, laid his head on the desk, trying to hide behind a book. Someone chuckled at his gesture.

"Oh, so you confessed publicly yesterday, and now you're embarrassed?" Evelyn teased from his side with a smirk.

"Shut up," Billy replied, still not daring to look at Amy.

Amy began the class, but Billy couldn't bring himself to meet her gaze, not because of embarrassment, but out of fear of losing his words again.

His heart ached to see her, but his mind was resolute. "Just one glimpse of her," he thought, lifting his head slightly to steal a glance at her. Their eyes met, and his heart pounded furiously. Quickly, he lowered his head back onto the desk, his face flushing red.

After the class ended, Billy made his way to the cafeteria, where the rest of the group was already headed. Passing by the second row, he heard Marcus call out to him from his spot, his tone serious.

"I thought you would be suspended after yesterday's mess," Marcus remarked, his expression stern.

"I was lucky enough to get out with a warning," Billy replied with a forced smile, not divulging what had transpired earlier.

"Be careful," Marcus cautioned as he got up from his seat. "Don't make things any worse than they already are," he warned before leaving. Billy watched him go, offering an innocent smile.

"You're quite brave," someone commented from behind, and Billy turned to see Lily.

"Confessing to an older woman on the first try," she teased.

"And getting rejected on the first try," Billy replied, rubbing his cheek as he remembered Amy's slap.

Lily laughed at his response. "If only Marcus had enough courage like you, he would tell the girl he likes about his feelings," she remarked before walking away, leaving Billy chuckling to himself.

In the cafeteria, Evelyn burst into uncontrollable laughter, slamming her hand on the table after hearing about Billy's morning antics.

"Not only confessing to the professor yesterday but confirming it again today?" Annie chuckled, unable to contain her laughter.

"You're quite different, Billy," Evelyn remarked, still laughing.

Austin, however, expressed his disappointment. "You don't understand the embarrassment I felt because of this idiot this morning," he said.

Billy was clearly embarrassed and regretful about his actions.

"Billy, are you onto hot older women now?" Evelyn teased, struggling to hold back her laughter.

"No, I'm not," Billy replied, denying it adamantly.

"What's next? Asking her to marry you?" Annie quipped, prompting even more laughter from the group.

"It already happened," Billy admitted, further fueling their amusement. "You're amazing, Billy. Not only proposing to a professor older than you but asking her to marry you," Evelyn laughed, causing Billy to flush with embarrassment.

Their laughter was interrupted by commotion from the other side of the cafeteria. They turned to see a guy shouting loudly at a girl.
