Awakening Ceremony

Two years have passed since Travis had his first monster hunt. He's gone back to the forest a couple of times to fight more monsters and gain experience. However, after the fifth time, Travis stopped going because security had gotten tighter in the forest. They now had guards around 24/7, and Travis did not want to get caught.

With training, Travis relied on doing martial arts in his backyard. This didn't increase his experience anyhow, but it did work on making his body much more agile and strong.

Nothing significant has happened in these two years. Sure, he's currently 18, so he's now an adult again. The main character, Chris, got engaged to the first heroine, which was really annoying for him. Every night, the citizens would light up fireworks and make parades. Also, the King made the Decree which forbade anyone in the whole kingdom from calling Chris the useless Prince. Well, it didn't stop Travis from singing it in his head from time to time.

This also meant that Chris had awakened his Mana pool, which moved the plot even further. Travis couldn't wait until the plot officially started. These past two years were long and boring; he had absolutely nothing to do except exercise and train. He bought many things to make his life less boring, but after a few weeks, he got tired of them.

Also, it's been a whole two years since he got action. He's been having nightmares of his manhood getting chopped off for some reason. He thought this might be the side effects of not getting any action.

He refused to let himself engage with a sex worker; he never did it before and was never going to do it now. He didn't even indulge in self-pleasure. Travis found that such activities were a sin back in his previous world and never did them again. Not saying that you should stop doing it or anything.

Right now, Travis is getting ready for the Awakening Ceremony. He wore a nice navy blue suit, his hair cut to perfection, his face becoming more mature-looking over the two years.

'I look good. Don't get mad; I might take your significant other. Ahahh yeah, I'm not joking.'

He got out of the bathroom and went to the living room. 'Yo system, show me my stats.'

Over the years, the system grew a personality, but not the sweet female system protagonists have or the annoying one that nags and disses you every second. The system turned into a dude; his deep voice would ring in Travis's mind every time he thought of intimate matters. Travis didn't really mind him since, over the two years, he was the only person he could speak to. Most of y'all would have turned emo and started avoiding any type of conversation; y'all wouldn't even bathe like your average Discord mob.

The system had asked Travis if he wanted to give him a name, and Travis refused, saying that it'd be weird to name a grown ass man.

His grew stronger yet his level didn't even budge. 'Yeah, I kinda regret having that wish. But at least from tomorrow I'll start getting stronger. Good thing I made school open a day after the ceremony; if I had stayed much longer without action, I'm sure I would have died.'

After Travis got prepared, he left his apartment and walked towards the academy. It wasn't really far from where he was, so it didn't take much time to get there.

He ran towards the Ceremony building. When he arrived at the gate, he saw 9 limousines parked beside the gate. All of them had distinct designs on them. Two of the limousines were designed for people of large bodies. Other students also stayed back and waited to see the heirs. The first limousines driver came out and went to the back door and opened it, and the Prince came out. Travis looked at the protagonist and smiled.

'Who would have thought I'd see my character in real life.' He said. The other heirs also left their limousines. One by one they left. The students watching screamed in excitement. Seeing the Princes and Princesses, male and female, the students blushed. They were all beautiful and handsome and the embodiment of what it means to look good.

Travis then walked inside. When he arrived in the hall, he went and signed up his name. The heirs passed by him while he was signing.

'Oh yeah, they don't need to sign up since they're big shots and all,' he thought.

After signing, he went and sat where they assigned him to. He looked around and saw that people began to fill up the empty chairs.

A man who looked like he was in his twenties walked up to the stage. He looked around and waited for everyone to quiet down. When there was total silence, he started speaking.

"Welcome to you all. I'd like to congratulate you all for coming to the ceremony. As you all know, today will be the day you will get to know what your future will be. No matter if you have Talent or don't have one, you are welcome to learn in our Academy. We all know that 2000 years ago, the Dark King and his army invaded our planet. When he arrived, he took over a quarter of the planet. Since then, our warriors and mages fought against his beasts that keep on expanding, but one day a group of people came to this world and called themselves The Heroes Party. Their strength overpowered the Dark king and his Beasts.

They were all victorious in defeating the Dark King. The leader of the party, William Hudson, killed the Dark King; after that, people all over the world named him the Hero Of The World.

After a while, the world became peaceful again. The Heroes created kingdoms, and life was peaceful again. After a 1000 years, all of the heroes had died long ago. Their descendants ruled the world. Suddenly the sky became dark. On the south side of the planet, a huge portal opened in the sky. Millions upon millions of beasts flew out the portal and wiped out the people living on that side. The warriors and Mages at that time were able to keep the beasts at bay. Due to their large numbers, they couldn't kill all of the beasts and close the portal, so they closed off the south side of the planet where the monsters live.

A thousand years later today, we still haven't defeated the monsters. That could change any year on the Awakening Ceremony. The heroes left a prophecy saying after 1000 years new heroes born from the past heroes' descendants will attain enough power to kill all Monsters for good. This is another year where we will see if any of the descendants will Awaken the SSS tier talent.

Now don't think that you all won't make a difference if you awaken any other rank. You all have the same importance as the other person. No one will be treated unequally in this School. If any of you face problems with other teachers and students, report to the office. If you are reported, you will face the consequences. We will not tolerate Bullying in our school! Now the awakening shall commence!" he said.

Travis woke up when he heard the students clap their hands. He also clapped with them, acting as if he was listening. The students sitting around him laughed seeing him. A pearl-like ball suddenly appeared on stage.

"You will insert your Mana into this sphere; it will then tell you if you awakened or not. If you awakened C-tier talent, it will glow yellow. If you awakened B-tier talent, it will glow green. If you awakened A-tier talent, it will glow blue. If you awakened S-tier talent, it will glow purple. If you awakened SS-tier talent, it will glow red. If you awakened SSS-tier talent, it will glow blue and red.

You will get a notice in your mind telling you your attributes," the AI said. It then started calling people's names. Many people awakened. The chances of a person not awakening were close to zero since everyone has potential. Even so, a couple of people didn't awaken. After a while, the Prince's name was called. Everyone had their eyes on him, except Travis, since he knew what was going to happen. When he put his hand on the sphere, he inserted his Mana inside.

The sphere started to glow. The first color that appeared was blue. They all thought he had awakened A-tier, which wasn't that bad. Then suddenly, red appeared on the left side of the sphere; both colors shone brightly. Then a portal opened on the sphere, showing the hilt of a sword. Chris pulled the sword out.

Everyone was shocked to see that he had awakened SSS-tier talent, and to top it all, he even awakened the Hero's sword. The dark blue sword radiated a blue aura that calmed down all the people in the hall. It was a very beautiful sight, especially to the ones who had never dreamt to see such a thing. Chris got a message in his mind telling him that he had the lightning attribute.

'From now on, I will continue to get stronger and make my family proud,' he thought. The sword disappeared; he had a bright smile on his face. He then went down and sat back on his seat.

The other characters also awakened SSS-tier talent.

Vena Ergella, the heir to the Elven kingdom, awakened the Bow and arrow of the Hero Blair Ergella; she also awakened the wind attribute.

Azusa Strong, the heir of the Orc Kingdom, awakened two daggers made out of lightning from the Hero Luna Strong. She also awakened the lightning attribute.

Grace Johnson, the heir of the Overland kingdom, awakened the Hero Jane Johnson's healer staff and also got a blessing from God, which would allow her to enter the holy temple without any restrictions. She did not awaken any attributes but attained great strength and speed, which would grow the more she saved people's lives.
