Ch. 12: "A CERTAIN PAST pt. 2"

After being rescued by the medical team Rylee was immediately taken care of and had the best treatment by the one and only Misty Cloveria, but after that things didn't go well.

Rylee was somehow sent to a meeting room with people who are somewhat familiar yet not, a news was given to him that he will become the new director as the world is about to meet its end or so the director says.

"Well Rylee, it seems like the only person who can see the truth about my eyes is you" the director said.

Rylee looked confused at what the director just said, "What do you mean?" Rylee asked.

"Well you see Rylee to everyone else my eyes would simply look blind, simply to say the chosen one will be the only person to see these majestic eyes" the director explained.

"The chosen one? How did I become a chosen one?" Rylee asked.

"Well to be totally honest, I was also shocked when I was chosen one hundred years ago"

"O-one hundred?" Rylee was stunned by what he heard.

"When you are chosen you will live with immortality as these eyes grants you the knowledge that God only knows, but it's more rather a curse than a blessing, once you know this knowledge you can never speak about it to anyone, even if your goal was to help if you try to speak about it to anyone you will feel immeasurable burning pain or what the predecessor of these eyes would call 'The Flames of Hell'. That is why the eyes are the ones to choose who is capable of keeping secrets, but I do wonder what secrets are you currently hiding" The director stood up and walked out of the room leaving Rylee in unease.

"Secret? Why would I hide a secret it's not as if I have any, right?" Rylee thought to himself as his vision started to become blurry.

"Rylee? Hey Rylee? Are you alright?" Misty asked him while tapping his shoulder snapping him back to reality.

"I'm alright, what just happened is still pretty hard for me to digest" He replied.

"I see, well we should get going now, those things will not stop until they destroy everything in their line of sight," Misty said.

The two were about to leave the room when suddenly the defense alarms turned on. They immediately rushed to an underground base called the 'Central'.

The very moment they arrive Rylee suddenly felt nauseous, a disgusting smell was leaking out from the room, Misty unhesitantly opened the door only to see every worker there swimming in their blood. From a distance they saw the screen playing a record, it was the video of the staff being massacred by a black figure.

The two stared as the video kept playing in a loop, Misty had enough of it and as she turned around she started vomiting.

"Hey, are you alright?" Rylee asked.

Misty grabbed him by the collar of his uniform and his face towards hers.

"This bad! Without the people here the walls are nothing but sheets of metal! you need to hurry towards the wall!" Misty said, her voice was panicking, her body was trembling.

"What do you mean?" Rylee asked.

"The people here are the reason why those walls are strong if there is no single person in here then the walls will be easy to break! Just hurry we don't have much time!" She explained.

Rylee immediately rushed outside only to see the world in chaos, they were not told how fast those monsters would arrive, it was hopeless to even try and fight them. All the soldiers are now either hiding or dead, Rylee was losing hope whispering to himself "Is this the end?!"

"This is not yet the end, even if only 20% percent of the population in the east gate survives this will not be the end," The director said.

"Director?" Rylee was shocked to see the director not wearing his blindfold and was wearing a commander uniform.

"Rylee only the two of us can stop those things, we can defeat all those things with our combined strength," he said.

Rylee's hope was raised, they immediately made their way and fought off all the nearby demons, slaughtering every single one of those creatures.

After hours of non-stop killing they eventually brought down most of the strong demons, soldiers who were too weak and scared was inspired by their bravery that they conquered their fear and helped for the sake of humanity.

But something was bugging Rylee.

"Director, this is weird is it not?" Rylee said.

"It is weird, the ones at the central would never lie to us when reporting the dark energy they get from the demons, so in this case where is the devil?" The director said.

Both of them made their way to the top of the wall to look at where the devil might be, and they saw it at a far distance a black figure being surrounded by a large black aura.

The two at the situation inside the gate, soldiers are now capable of fighting back because they had already slaughtered the strong demons. After deeming the situation safe for the two of them to leave, they immediately rushed towards the devil.

As they got closer their bodies immediately felt heavier, yet, the two of them proceeded to the devil, when they were almost up close to the devil it suddenly woke up. It roared so loud that Rylee and the director were thrown away increasing their distance from the devil.

"W-why the hell I-is it so strong?" Rylee asked.

"I guess it was gathering dark energy earlier, but with this much energy... we must prevent it from attacking the gate or everything will be destroyed," The director said.

The devil suddenly grew wings from its back and flew up to the sky. Rylee and the Director were about to chase after it but the ground suddenly became sand which buried them, they were now unable to move.

The devil who was up in the air opened its mouth to the fullest and started transferring all the collected dark energy to his mouth.

The director and Rylee saw it, the dark energy that can rip whatever it hits.

"Rylee! I trust everything to you!" The director said.

"Huh, what the hell do you mean?" Rylee said.

"This is the end for me, please be the hero and save this world from the disaster it will face"

Rylee started at the director as his crystal-like eyes slowly faded away, at the very moment the devil finally transferred all its energy it blew a black laser which was heading towards the gate, at the same time the director had already turned into sand. The only thing that Rylee saw was a bright white light that appeared inches in front of the wall deflecting the beam making it go upwards.

Rylee watched as white light slowly faded away as the devil's laser also disappeared.

"So he sacrificed his life to protect those inessential humans"

Rylee heard a familiar voice, he watched from a distance as the devil came crashing down to the ground, the sand slowly became liquid allowing Rylee to move and get out of it.

He looked at the devil as it started to be choked by something unseen, after a few minutes of screaming the devil calmed down.

"What the hell just happened?" Rylee whispered.

Rylee walked closer to check if the devil but stopped when he saw its mouth moving, a hand then emerged from its mouth, then came the second hand, the hands grabbed the devils mouth and slowly its mouth was ripped.

Rylee stood there watching as a stomach-turning event was happening in front of him. A black figure emerged from the devil, but this time it was somehow familiar to Rylee but was unable to remember.

"It's been a long time Rylee" the black figure spoke.

"It spoke? Don't tell me this is the same thing that attacked me before" Rylee was feeling much more pressure slowly realizing that the things in front of him were also the actual thing that almost killed him before.

"Indeed I am, the thing that attacked you before and me are the same things, we are what is called 'Entity Zero' a creature created to rival God" the black figure was able to read Rylee's thoughts.

"You read my mind? Huh, well let's see how strong you can fight in this world!" Rylee screamed as he charged the black figure with full force.

Rylee was able to cut the black figure with the blade he held and was able to shoot it by the head multiple times with the gun in his opponent's hand.

"HAHAHAHA humans are te being chosen by the eye you have no idea how to use it," the figure said.

Rylee got pissed and started attacking it again cutting it into small pieces but it was all for nothing, Rylee was about to reach his limits but the creature kept regenerating its broken body parts.

"This is a waste of time, why don't I show you how to use those eyes of yours," The black figure said before suddenly teleporting in front of Rylee.

It grabbed Rylee by the head and placed its large black horns on Rylee's forehead, her vision suddenly became blurry, after a few minutes his vision started clearing up.

"Do you see it human?" the black figure asked.

Rylee was amazed at what he saw seeing that he was losing his mind. His eyes were slowly dying and his body was being devoured by darkness, he immediately snapped out of it realizing it was a trick created by the creature.

"You won't fool me with those lies" Rylee fiercely said.

"Oh, so you were able to use those eyes, what a shame in thought that you would go crazy HAHAHAHA"

"You will pay for what you did in this world," Rylee said.

He rushed towards the creature and started to fiercely attack it again, but every single attack he made was easily dodged, he was not able to even hit nor scratch the black creature like before.

Yet, Rylee continued, his body was being pushed by his eagerness to defeat the black creature, but after a few minutes the creature stood still its face seemed very unentertained.

"When humans try too hard, fighting them would become useless. Once humans are driven by emotions they will never know when to surrender, this fight is becoming boring" The creature said.

Rylee continued to attack it even though his attack was missing despite the creature standing still, with the last push to his body Rylee with his full force tried to slash the creature in half.

"Humans will always be weak" The black figure spoke as it grabbed Rylee's sword and shattered its blade into tiny fragments.

"Impossible, h-how?" Rylee suddenly fell on his knees, finally having fatigue.

The figure smiled at him before grabbing him by the neck and lifting him.

"Rylee I will show you just how weak you humans are..." The black figure said as the black wings from his back suddenly grew bigger.

He grabbed both of Rylee's legs and broke them, before letting go of his neck. Rylee watched as the figure flew in the air.

"By the power bestowed to me by my creator, the great entity who is the true creator of everything, the observer who is always watching, please grant me the access to my full power, I shall show this human that they are at the weakest of the weak"

Rylee watched as the black figure's body became bigger and the black aura surrounding it became much darker.

"Rylee you will now receive judgment, I am Entity Zero the one blessed being which can rival God, with the power bestowed to me by the Great Entity you shall be sent... TO THE ABYSS"

The figure flew down to Rylee with blazing speed that Rylee's eyes could not keep up, and as the entity finally touched Rylee, he was immediately sent to a dark space, where there is nothing to see and feel.

"Human welcome to the Abyss of Nothingness, now you shall watch as I demolish the world you live in" a voice spoke.

A large screen-like thing appeared in front of Rylee, which showed a feed of the world. Rylee was unable to blink or to look away, the only thing he was able to do was to watch as the world became indulged in darkness.

He watched as the feed would change from place to place and watch different kinds of death from different angles, he watched as the being called Entity Zero massacre, multiple people.

"I'm Sorry! I'm sorry! I'm sorry! Please forgive me! Forgive for being weak"

Rylee apologized as he was forced to watch the end of all the humans.

He apologized and apologized even though no one was able to hear him, he was unable to think straight as he watched all those innocent people receive the same fate as everyone else.

"So how is the view human?" a voice asked.

"Please stop this! There are those innocent humans among those who are dying! Please stop!!" Rylee begged.

"I shall deny this request, but if you were to kill someone precious to you, I may reconsider" the voice said.

"Why would I do that!!? Are you crazy?" Rylee said.

"Human, I have no care for who suffers, Humans have made the biggest mistake that angered the great entity! And as the being created from its angered you shall all face my judgment" the voice said.

"So choose human, will you kill one person or will you continue to watch them all die HAHAHAHA"

Rylee was suddenly teleported into a household, which was somewhat very familiar. He looked around to see who lives there but there was no one inside, he finally realizes where he was when he heard a voice singing in the shower.

Tears flowed from his eyes as he knew who he was tasked to kill.

"I can't do this!" he said.

"Who's there?" the person in the bath asked.

Rylee covered his mouth and went to the kitchen to grab a knife before going to the living room and sitting on the couch.

He grabbed his head and kept whispering that he could not do it.

"Please don't make me do this! Not her please!" Rylee begged.

"Choose human, one person or all of humanity" a voice spoke to him.

It was up to Rylee to choose who lives and dies, if he was to kill that person the entity will not kill other humans, but if he does not every human will suffer and die.

It was the toughest decision he had to do, he started to think that if he was to die he would not be able to any of these deaths.

He then pointed the knife to his throat and was about to stab himself.

"Human you cannot escape the abyss, if you kill yourself you will only be sent back to the abyss where you will continue to watch how I massacre every human" the voice spoke.

Rylee was about to stand up when the shower was suddenly turned off, Rylee now has to make haste on his choice, his precious person or the world?.
