Nightmare

Kaoru slammed open the door and they all piled into J's room, only to see Ji-hun with his eyes still closed, shouting in his sleep.

"Hyung, help please! She is allergic to analgesic and they have injected her with one. Hyung! Help, what will we do now? What I will do, Kaoru hyung! Hyeon hyung, Chang hyung- do something please!" He shouted again, and they saw a tear roll down his cheek, his eyes scrunched shut tightly.

He continued mumbling, "It's my fault. She was injured while saving me, if something happens to her I won't be able to forgive myself...Please, somebody, save her…" He was whispering by now as tears continued following one after another. "Hyeon hyung, please- I love her…" These were the last words out of his mouth when Hyeon decided that he had been through enough and he was going to wake him. He had been waiting so far, and listening to his cries in order to get some clue about who he was talking of, but he couldn't see him suffer anymore.

He sat on the bed beside Ji-hun and lightly stroked his fingers through his hair, saying "J, wake up boy. Everything is okay, open your eyes. See, I am right here." He was assuming that Ji-hun would wake up a little shaken, but he would forget the nightmare soon and everything would be normal again. Just like the nightmares he used to have previously, and he always ended up forgetting them soon after waking up. But this time he opened his eyes and clung to Hyeon, hugging him tightly. He kept repeating "Please tell me she is fine, where is she? I want to meet her, right now…"

Everyone else was confused, trying to make sense of the things he had just said. Dae Jung was desperately trying to remember their conversation from that morning. 'So he had really met some girl! But who was she, and when had he met her?' Ho-jin and Kaoru were panicking, looking at their brother with concern and wondering if he was alright or if they needed to take him to a psychiatrist. Only Chang Min was standing there, thinking of something and smiling to himself. He looked around the room at Dae Jung and Ho-jin to notice their reactions, but he found them clueless as well. 'So he concluded that Ji-hun must be dating a girl, or he might have met a girl about whom only Hyeon knew; and he was hiding it so that he could prevent a scandal.'

Hyeon looked at Ji-hun, who had fallen asleep in his arms once again. He gently placed his head back on the pillow and stroked his hair, saying "Sweet dreams, little one. Don't let those nightmares bother you again, this hyung right here will protect you from everything. You just sleep, and I will take care of everything."

Then he turned and started walking, signalling everyone to follow him out of the room. Kaoru, Dae Jung and Ho-jin walked out, even more confused than before; while only Chang Min walked confidently as if he had won the most virtuous victory by solving the case of a perfect crime. After a few minutes, they were all in the same room they had been talking in before. Hyeon looked at the Maknaes ('younger brothers') with an interrogative look and asked after letting out a long sigh: "So who is going to tell me about this girl he was speaking of?"

Nitya came to the table with a victorious smile on her face, followed by Mehul. She was shocked to see Mukul sobbing, and a concerned Surbhi trying to calm him down. She looked back at Mehul as if he had committed some crime and then announced the reason for her accusatory glance. "Mehul Bhaiya scolded you as well, didn't he, Mukul?!"

She then turned 180° just like an angry bunny, from whom her last carrot had been snatched and started hopping with rage. She walked to Mehul, grabbed him by his hand and dragged him towards her twin. She summoned her most commanding tone to address her older brother. "Say sorry to Mukul, you are a bad, very bad brother, bhaiya! Why did you scare this little baby like this?"

She then quickly turned her face towards Mehul and winked in order to signal to him that he had to act along with her, and that she didn't actually mean what she was saying. She then turned her attention to Mukul and continued "Hush now! Keep quiet, poor Surbhi must be thinking that she is dating a cry baby. " She came closer to her brother, wiping his tears, as Surbhi made some space for her.

Mukul hugged his sister and finally spoke, "I am sorry Niku!"

At this moment Nitya was confused, Surbhi was visibly tense and Mehul was scared as Nitya didn't know what Mukul had just apologised for. Surbhi didn't know what he would end up spilling to Nikki. Mehul was scared that he might speak out all the truth in front of her and put all the efforts which he and his parents had put in from the very beginning, in vain!

Before Mukul could have spoken a word to explain his apology, Surbhi shouted "Let go of my best friend, you're trying to hog her all to yourself. But I can see through your tricks, she is mine!" Trying to snatch Nitya away, while Mehul got into the mania and shouted "I am sorry, Mukul! Please don't tell Niku that I scolded you for nothing," while touching his ears. This was a code of the two brothers, which Nitya was unaware of and they only used it when one of them was going to tell her something that the other one wanted to keep hidden.

Mukul understood the situation not a moment too soon, and it dawned on him that he was so close to making another blunder. He managed the situation from his end and shouted, "Hey! You both stop right there, she is my twin- so we've spent the most time together! I am related to her more than anyone, and she loves me the most-" and this was a call for the Third World War. They all started to shout amongst themselves again, actually forgetting about the serious issue they had been talking about; even after knowing that when it came to picking one person Nitya loved most in the world, she would always end up choosing her dad.
