Chapter 130

BACK TO PRESENT....

Elizabeth hissed after she remembered what happened. Ashley had treated her like trash and made her a laughing stock and that was when she'd sworn to make Ashley pay for having humiliated her after taking her love away.

FLASHBACK......

" Elizabeth, Elizabeth" Ashley called as she knocked on Elizabeth's room door teary eyed 

" What is it?" Elizabeth asked after walking out of her room in a baggy pyjamas. She had her hair loose and she was putting on glasses and she had a book in her hand. She really looked like a nerd.

" It's over Liz, he used me" Ashley said in tears.

" And what do you mean by that?" Elizabeth asked.

" He broke up with me. Turns out I was only a bet he made and now that he won, he dumped me" she said in tears.

" And why are you here?" Elizabeth asked.

" To apologize. I want my friend back"

" So now you remember you have a friend. I'm not interested" Elizabeth said and shut the door.

BACK TO PRESENT...

Elizabeth paced around her cell, her thoughts on Ariana.

" I'm sure she's not dead yet but she will soon and I can't wait to be executed for all my crimes" she said.

" Hey you, lunch is ready" an officer said and led a cuffed Elizabeth to where the other inmates gathered to eat. She almost puked at the sight of it but decided to keep calm.

After a few days, she wouldn't be alife to see all these after all. She took her seat and ate even though she wasn't comfortable eating in such condition.

FEW DAYS LATER....

" Please forgive me Becky, I didn't want to, j beg you" Ashley said in tears.

" I've told you Ashley, I bear no grudges. I just can't accept you as my mum anymore" Ariana said.

She had finally returned home and ever since she returned, she didn't have peace as Ashley was constantly begging for forgiveness.

" Ari, I think you should forgive her" Casey said " accept her back"

" Can you hear yourself? I went through a lot because of her and you want me to forgive her? I had to change my name and my identity all because of her and I should throw that in the garbage? " Ariana asked.

" Ari" Mrs Lambert called and Ariana turned to face her. " Let everything be in the past. Ashley's asked for forgiveness so please forgive her, it'll give her joy" Mrs Lambert said and Ariana stared at Ashley who had tears in her eyes.

She got off the couch and walked to Ashley who was on her knees. She bent and helped her get up.

" It's wrong to kneel in front of your daughter" she said and flashed Ashley a smile.

" Does...... Does this mean you've forgiven me? " Ashley asked, tears of joy steaming down her cheeks.

" A daughter could never stay mad at her mother" Ariana said and pulled Ashley in for an embrace.

" Thank you Becky, thank you" Ashley said as she placed motherly kisses all over Ariana's face.

" There's no need to thank me" Ariana said " it's all I've ever wanted. A mum!! " She said.

She walked over to Edward who was staring at the whole mother daughter display and hugged him.

" Dad" she called as she embraced him tightly.

" Becky" Edward replied as tears streamed down his cheeks. " I'm sorry for not paying any attention to you, I'm sorry" he said.

" I know dad. You were only trying to put food on the table and I can't blame you for that" Ariana said and withdrew from the embrace.

" Thank you so much Becky, thank you" Edward said.

It seemed like things had finally fallen in place for everyone. Ariana now had both birth parents by her side, Ashley was now free from Elizabeth, Edward had his daughter back, Raymond had managed to prove his girlfriend's innocence, Casey had her best friend back, Micheal was finally back in college and Mrs Wilson was in jail for all the crimes she'd committed but there was one thing that was still not in place yet...... Ariana. 

Despite the fact that everyone had what they'd ever wanted, one thing still brought great pain to their heart and that was the fact that their beloved Ariana had barely few months to live.

They continued to treat her the best, making sure she enjoyed her final days without knowledge that she was in her final days when suddenly, one day, it all came down.

Ariana stared at the file on the table in Mrs Lambert's room.

" This must be the file mum was talking about" she thought to herself and picked it up " but why would she be searching for a file that was on the table the whole time?" She asked herself.

She picked it up and flipped through the pages, reading it and letting the tears stream down her eyes after beholding the heartbreaking contents of the file.

" This can't be, it can't be" she screamed and threw the file to the floor before running to the sitting room where everyone was gathered.

" Ari, what's wrong? Why are you crying?" Casey asked.

" You knew all along. You knew all along but you chose to keep it from me.... Why?" She yelled.

" Calm down Becky. What's going on?" Ashley asked.

" You also knew right. You knew about it but you didn't tell me, why mum, why?" She asked in tears.

" Tell us Becky, what are you talking about? " Edward asked.

" You know I'm in my final days and you didn't tell me, why? " Ariana said and broke down in tears. " I'll be dead soon and no one chose to tell me, why? " She spoke in tears.

Immediately she mentioned she was going to die, Ashley walked to in tears and consoled her, " we didn't want you to spend your final days waiting for death to come take you" 

" And you expect me to believe that? No wonder you were all crying that day. You all knew I was going to die" she said '' I can't believe this. I can't believe I have only a few months left" she said and held her hair up.

She got off the floor, " I don't want this. I don't want a life where I have to wait for death to come my way" Ariana said and rushed to the dining table where she picked a fruit knife.

" What.... What are you doing Becky?" Edward asked.

" I'll kill myself and end it all. You should have let me die when I jumped off that cliff, why did you let me live, why?" She asked in tears as she placed the knife on her wrist

" Ari please, let's sit and talk about this, don't do this" Mrs Lambert said.

" And why should I? Did you tell me when you found out that I was about to die? Did you?" She asked " you didn't so why should we sit and talk now? I'll kill myself and you'll all watch me do it"

" Becky, don't do this. You're smarter than this" Edward said and made to move closer to her.

" Don't move closer or else I'll slit my wrist." She said and placed the knife on her skin, pressing it tightly which made her bleed.

Everyone felt pain in their hearts at the sight of Ariana hurting herself but they couldn't blame her, she had to find out about her death in the worst possible way.

Mrs Lambert was about to say something when she noticed Raymond walk into the house sneakily. She sighed in relief as she watched Raymond go behind Ariana who had a bleeding wrist and snap the knife out of her hands.

" Aaaah" she winced in pain and Raymond embraced her and she burst into tears.

" What were you thinking Ari? What's wrong with you" he scolded.

" I'm going to die Raymond, I'm going to die" she said in tears and Raymond consoled her.

" It's fine Ari, it's fine" he said and she withdrew from the embrace.

" You should leave Raymond, I can't bear it if you're to be in pain after I die. I just can't be that selfish" she said and left the house, leaving a confused Raymond behind.
