Refining(3)

Once i woke up i immediately jumped from the tree and stretched i yawned a little before i started hunting again i thought to myself "i could really use a shower" but i shouldn't let the interrupt me, i went searching for more armored bears to kill… 5 minutes like usual i found one in a relatively grassy area, i attacked it while it was left unguarded, i put a deep gash on its back that was slowly bleeding out, once it was hit it had backed away in order to try and land a attack on me, unfortunately for the bear i wasn't going to let it do it that easily, i quickly dashed towards it and shot a [Soul Fire Shot] towards it, the attack immediately affected its soul, the armored bear made a disturbing screech that made the birds in the area flock away

I didn't want the scream to alert any other monsters in the area so instead of doing a soul attack i immediately rushed into decapitate it, once it was decapitated i wiped the blood off of my face and bent down to absorb its soul, once i finished i jumped on a tree and started to jump to others too find more bears in the middle of searching i heard a roar of two animals so i stoped in my tracks to go see what it was, once i reached the area i saw a armored bear and a fire bear fighting, i thought and said "i should let these two fight it out and wait until one wins and attack while its tired and absorbed both of their souls, it was basically 2 free souls for me, i sat on the tree swinging my legs amusing the scene in front of me, it took about 20 minutes before one of them had died, i had made a guess that the fire bear would lose and sure enough my guess was correct, the fire bear was slashed on its stomach and it was bleeding out till it died

The armored bear was breathing heavily and was about to leave when i had intervened, i wanted to end it in one fell swoop so i brought out my scythe and dashed off the tree and immediately cut its head of, i looked back and the bear's body fell on the floor with no sign of left, i walked towards it and placed my hand too absorb its soul, then i walked to the fire bear it had killed and absorbed that soul, i left satisfied that i had got its soul, i jumped on the same tree i was watching from and started jumping to different ones to find more monsters to kill…eventually with a-lot of searching i found another prey to kill, unfortunately this one somehow spotted me first and rushed at me while roaring, i summoned my scythe and immediately put up my guard ready for an attack, it slashed its claws at me that didn't do much damage with my level of endurance, once it was done attacking i used the scythe skill set [Soul Strikes] and made a curve strike at its arm, it came flying off and blood splurged in the direction his arm was cut off

I wasted no time and slashed down and cut its body in half, even though i didn't have emotions it was still a disturbing scene too watch, i knew i had to get used to this some now so i gulped and walked towards its body and placed my hand to absorb its soul, once i was done i went to a tree to rest for 30 minutes and for a drink of water, once i rested and drank water i went hunting again for more souls, it seemed as i was lucky because i found another one not too far away from the last one on top of that it looked injured, i assumed it just came from its own kind because their was no monster in this forest as strong as it, i swiftly dashed and killed it silently, like always he absorbed the soul and walked away

I noticed that the sun was setting so i was going to go find a tree to rest on a safe tree, once i found one i searched the perimeter of any monster nearby, once i was sure their wasn't i went to sleep on it, i have a total of 31 souls in my Soul core, after a couple of minutes i fell sound asleep…
