The Tune

Xie Ning followed the Taoist's advice and whenever she felt sad, she would think of happy things. Like when her grandmother made grass rings for her to play with, or when her mother cooked delicious food for her on her birthday. During the time when she stayed with her mother in the countryside to recover from illness, her mother even sewed and mended her torn clothes while still being sick herself.

The love and care her grandmother and mother had given her were something she could never repay even if she were to break into pieces. However, they both passed away too early, leaving her with no chance to show her filial piety.

The emperor left the Qingning Palace with the three of them, but they were headed to different places. The emperor was going back to the Hall of Eternal Peace, while Xie Ning was taking the two children back to the Yong'an Palace and they parted ways at the Chengqing Gate.
