Yan Shu woke up early the next day. She quickly freshened up and came into the kitchen where Song Yun prepared breakfast. They both ate and left for college.

They came into the classroom and took their seats as the bell rang. When it rang again hours later, signaling that class was over, their teacher gave one last message: "Don't forget that next week will be the midterm exams. They will be added to your final score this semester, so you all need to study."

As per college rules, they have four semesters. Students will get their certificates if they complete all subjects with at least an 80% mark. Else, they will be required to take an additional four semesters course. And the midterms were worth 40% of the final grade. Another 60% is obtained by treating the theory part. Fengshan was the only college with this system.

Soon, their classes were over and the two came back home. Yan Shu didn't stay for long as she still had to go work at the Chen Group. When she finally came back home for good, she took a shower and put on her nightwear while Song Yun made dinner. After eating, she lay in bed reading a book, until her eyelids felt heavy and she fell asleep.

One week quickly passed by. Every day, Yan Shu would study until late at night and wake up early to study some more before college. When midterms finally arrived, she had dark circles around her eyes.

According to Fengshan rules, they had four theory exams and four lab exams. Other colleges only had their lab exams during the final exams, but Fengshan also applied it during midterms to better prepare their students.

Yan Shu had no time for anything that week. When it finally ended, she wanted nothing more than to sleep.

She called Yu Zhenzhen, her team leader, and informed her that she wouldn't be able to work that day.

Afterward, she went out with Song Yun to have some hotpot. When back home, they both slumped in Yan Shu's bed and slept like two lazy cats.

It was already past ten when they finally woke up the next day. Thankfully it was Saturday already, so they had nothing to do.

Both of them were too lazy to cook breakfast, so they ordered some takeout. It arrived in less than ten minutes. When they were done eating, Song Yun invited Yan Shu to go out shopping with her.

She agreed, and they both bought clothes, shoes, bags, and makeup.

The clock displayed 4 pm when they finally returned home full of shopping bags in their hands.

Yan Shu quickly left and climbed on a bus to Hao Ren's apartment.

The boy came rolling in his wheelchair to greet her at the entrance.

"Jiejie, you came. Look at how thin I've got. That's because I've missed you."

"Renren," Shen Ruya spoke from inside the apartment, "stop talking and invite her in."

The boy did as told. "Shu'er, Renren wants to learn about computing. When I told him no, he refused to eat his meals, so please tutor him that."

Yan Shu knew that Hao Ren likes computers, but he never had anyone to teach him.

To help him pass the time, she downloaded a bunch of online games some time ago and taught him how to play. Thanks to that, he decided that he wanted to make his own games in the future, and for that, he needed to know more about programming.

He used to pester her about it all the time. She told him that first, he needed to know more English and math. Which he did. Now she had no more excuses.

She taught him some basics and left after an hour.She returned home, took a shower and changed into a pink nightgown.

She had dinner with Song Yun before retiring to her bedroom and falling into a deep slumber
