I was going around the forest and killing monsters and raising the proficiency of my spells.

I barely avoided a strike to my head. I made some distance from the beast that attacked me.

"Damn, that was close!"

I looked at the beast, huge limbs covered in black fur, and sharp claws were decorating each of its four legs. The beast was so massive that I had to lift my head to meet its gaze.

It was a werewolf.

Built like a mountain the werewolf easily towered above 5 meters, making Sam look like a chicken. Its bright red eyes were shining above its open mouth full of bloody, razor-sharp teeth.

It was very powerful, my instincts were screaming at me that this was a monster I couldn't take on. Before I could think of anything.

The werewolf swung its large arm at me.

I barely dodged it. If not for my quick reaction time my head would have been ripped off by the giant black paw.

Sam knows he has to fight this wolf if he wants to get out of here alive.

"Lightning Blade"

In an instant, Sam created his sword made out of lightning and rushed towards the werewolf.

The wolf swung its large paw at Sam. Sam dodged it and swung his sword targeting its left side.

Slash!!

In an instant, Sam's sword cut through the fur like butter and the wolf roared in pain.

It swung its arm at Sam.

Boom!!

I managed to block the werewolf's blow with his lightning blade, but the force from the blow alone made me reach my physical limit. I took a few steps back and threw his sword at the werewolf.

Swish!!

Upon impact the sword exploded in a burst of electric energy, it destroyed the werewolf's arm and started to burn its fur.

"Nice"

Sam thought he had a chance to win if he played his cards well. Before he could celebrate, the werewolf instantly healed its injury and rushed towards Sam.

Shit!!

It swung its arm, I barely dodged it but the sharp claws managed to cut through his chest.

"ARGHHH!!!"

A large scream escaped Sam's mouth.

Then the werewolf picked Sam by his legs and started slamming Sam around trees and ground and then threw him to a tree.

Boom!!

I got slammed into a nearby tree. I realized I needed to go all out or he would die.

"Lightning Veil"

Sam activated Lightning Veil and a large amount of power went through Sam's body, his attack power was now double. But at the same time, it was eating away Sam's mana like crazy.

Sam needed to end this flight fast.

I rushed towards the werewolf we were exchanging blows with each other, he attacked me and I attacked him. It was a bloody battle.

Blocking the claws of the wolf with my sword and veil, I swung my free hand at the wolf's jaw, throwing it into a nearby tree.

My condition was not good, I needed to end this flight soon or I would run out of mana.

The werewolf was pissed. It was looking at me with cold eyes. I had one last spell that I could use but I needed to hit him with it perfectly.

The werewolf instantly came behind me and managed to get a hold of me and swung me into the air as far as it could.

The werewolf howled in agony. It's voice echoing through the trees.

It rushed towards me again with its mouth open revealing its razor-sharp teeth. It was coming to rip my head off.

As it got close, I used my last spell.

"Thunderous Blast"

I charged up a powerful blast of lightning in my hands before releasing it in a concentrated beam, piercing through the werewolf and leaving a trail of devastation in its wake.

Half of the werewolf's torso was gone. With that, I was completely out of mana.

I fell to the ground, I had no stamina left and my body's condition was worse.

But I needed to kill the werewolf.

What Sam didn't know is that a werewolf has the most powerful healing factor. To kill a werewolf you need to destroy its brain completely.

The werewolf's condition was not good. It had lost one of its arms. There was damage all over its body, but it was slowly healing.

The werewolf slowly came towards Sam.

As the werewolf rushed towards Sam. It opened its mouth to completely rip off Sam's head.

Sam extended his hand towards the werewolf's mouth, the moment it came in contact with it.
