Emerald Ocean

{Announcement} Got a notification about being put in some kinda promising books event or whatever which I guess could be considered feedback so I'ma get to work on this book again... Gotta finish that there last arc... My little Gieco Lizard deserves death!!! --- Inside a garden full of towering trees untold years old that sadly have inferiority complexes caused by the never ending giant tower that supports the sky that the garden sits in front. Upon the branch of one of the smallest trees in the garden, the last of it's kind of the tallest it's breed of tree was ever been able to grow as well as the oldest, sits a beautiful fairy who seems but the size of a squirrel emotionless sipping tea watching the leaves fall off the leaves of the tree as if having already given up on life when suddenly a wind passes by the eternally still garden and everything gently quakes as the infinite number of lines along the towers base lights up gently with a blazing emerald flame that is bordering on black. As if struck by a earth quake the woman falls out of her chair unbearably shaking as her eyes lock upon a thing far away in the infinitely large garden not a plant, not a tree, but the ground itself. A crazy and hopeful fire begins to burn deep within the beautiful fairies eyes as reaches out her hand and with a determined look shatters the very core of her soul sending a piece of herself out into the earth and herself tumbling listlessly into a deep sleep alone on the branch. Hope still burning in her eyes even as they slowly close and a twisted smile upon her lips. Like a bolt of lightning the core of her soul that was a part of her soul but not at the same time takes flight towards the sky circling around the crown of the small tree twice before gently bumping into the already sleeping woman as if in sorrow before flashing away faster then the eye could see reaching a distance so far you wouldn't be able to walk it in a million years even if you could travel at the speed of light and diving into the soil of a solitary mound of dirty diving deeper and deeper it eventually stops and flashes so bright it can even be suttly seen from the garden above as the deep blue light like the ocean fuses into the very core of an single solitary atom inside the soil as if slipping through a crack. Across a vast and unending expanse of sky a brilliant flash of blue light up the very core of a universe before zooming away in the exact instant it appeared as if nothing their ever mattered not the massive throne, the unending number of people fighting for it, nor the ghastly little hut that's door has never opened in all of its existence and that space has warped the top of that no eyes made of flesh has ever seen and no man has ever hoped to enter. One, Ten, A Hundred, A thousand, A Million, A Billion, an untold number more stars pass by as they begin to trail together before the light finally find a crack. Not in space, not in time, not in anything but itself simply existing like it's always existed. The space between filled with nothing. Diving into the crack without even slowly down the blue light seems to fade from existence as if it was never there. Slowly but surely as the blue light fades so does the crack before with it's last peek a suttle flash of Emerald escapes being vanishing from sight. The gentle beam of light flew out never stopping till it struck a nearby planet. As the light was absorbed by that planets inhabitants something... Awoke.

Ch. 38 Warrior

Lost in the darkness the sound of squealing and panicked roars could be heard the moment the world went silent. After the tunnels were discovered the leaders of the 3 affinities had all run to the heart as the fire and water met a nature bloodlust could be seen but it was set aside as the world still shook and fear was the only emotion any one had time for but when everything went silent... That's the moment we realized how important the terror of the world shaking and immense heat that could be felt even through countless feet of rock was... It's like in that one moment everyone's heart stopped... As we all looked around seeing that emerald glow we had gotten so used to vanish and a faint crimson glow suddenly appear above our heads we saw a lonely sky full of dirt that still fell. The tree vanished like it never existed in the first place. That's when we realized the world would never be the same. Immediately chaos broke out among the others the king of the rats and two elements wanted to stop it but no one seemed to acknowledge them as like everyone else the only one anyone truly feared or respected was the tree. Despite it never giving any orders or even speaking being in it's glow left a peaceful safety in all beneath it's branches hearts that's why none could ever leave after then came but without it the malicious nature and the direct hatred of the two opposing affinities broke out and immediately arguments broke out blaming the other faction for not doing anything to help the tree before we knew it the slaughter had started the rat people having followed there king to try to stop the fighting immediately become the heart of the war as they were forced to defend themselves but without the tree our people immediately became the weakest. The armor faded long ago the regeneration with it, our healers became the most important creatures at the beginning of the fight but quickly it became irrelevant as the war raged on and the elementals looked down upon it all seemingly disappointed.

As the deaths piled up I lost all hope in my people as I watched them die again and again as the ranks broke and all 3 kingdoms elite quickly began to fall. As the chaos went on the 3 nations backup has arrived as the three massive swarms of rats, drakes, bears, and frogs swarmed in the ones with the least number appearing to be the bears and frogs but there combination of ice and water made up for both sides flaws as they raged towards the drakes that raged their hulking bodies flesh like steel running about seemingly indestructible as their razor sharp fangs and the gaping maws of daggers bit down on people. They may not be targeting the rat people directly but as we were at the heart of both there front lines we were not spared but ranks quickly formed with a squeal and like a well tuned army we of the silver hair began to guard the front as black and white surged behind us in a formation out swift claws meeting enemies as flames begin to soar over head are injuries quickly healed. We may have a chance but we aren't immune the losses as the two raging rivers started to whittle away at the stone between them in a desperate bid to overwhelm the others flow.

Our people quickly fell bringing the others with them at a speed worse then any other the peace that we once held felt like a dream and the whole thing suddenly turned into a nightmare.

As I brought down my giant class upon a bear that didn't quite choose the best opponent smacking it body so hard it flew breaking its and the frogman it slammed into's bones I let my eyes wander over the chaos in the distance I could see the king. It has been many years since we saw him without his armor but even now I cannot exactly see what he used to look like as his once black fur has changed crimson not from some arbitrary evolution or his use of flame but of a endless see of blood that gushed over him and from him as he fights the other 3 leaders at the heart of the battle the heat from his blaze making steam rise from the river of blood while the blood appears serious the kings are still fine as most the blood came from the unfortunates ones who were to close to where the two kings and 2 queens met. A giant body about 3 times the size of the regular drakes with a spiny body of seemingly abysmal metal the queen mother of the drakes raged against the ice barrier formed from the king of the bears a giant pure white bear whose body is encased in a crystalline armor of frost. The king of rats in all his bloody glory as the pungent smell of boiling blood rises from his body meets a raging river of water sent by the queen of the frogmen she is the strangest of them all her scaly body other then a fat head and a large mouth appearing almost like an aquatic version of our old invaders with torches as she guides the river to meet the king of rats as he instantly burns the water away the sky above that was once clear except for the falling dirt now holds a thick fog of steam that rose from the fight with a putrid metallic smell of blood.

As my gaze wanders over the chaos of war that broke out almost comically immediately after the tree vanished a light of hope suddenly hit me. The world went silent once more, not because they wanted to but they couldn't move as a faintly green light broke the balance and spread out and everyone's wound are immediately healed. Giving my all to stretch my neck with all the hope in my heart despite the light looking totally different hoping with everything I am for it to be the tree that came back. What I saw... Shocked and confused me.

As I stared in confusion I saw a faintly greenish white rat standing out from everyone else. Unlikely most of the white rats she seems to be larger then any other. Even rivaling myself.
