Chapter 11

"Stop trying to dominate me" Castiel warned gruffly from behind me. His comment got my fingers faltering on the keys before me. I swallowed and continued playing.

"I'm not trying to dominate you" I brushed off his accusation.

"You keep playing the heavy notes instead of the light ones duckling, so quit it out"

I sighed, concentrating more of playing my part. Playing a duet required more concentration than I expected it to. I ended up accidentally playing his part numerous times but luckily he never really scolded me about it. Until now. And he thought I was trying to 'dominate' him. Dominant complex much?

I let my mind drift to the events of the last few days. After Castiel had swore his protection I pretty much spotted him everywhere I was. Maybe it wasn't intentional but I always felt his heavy gaze linger on my skin as I walked on campus, moving to my next class, sometimes when walking to the cafe I usually visited. I didn't know if to feel safe or weird about it. But I needed it, since I didn't want a replay of what happened in the woods.

We practiced every evening and I was finally getting a hang of playing with him. I was getting almost too comfortable in his presence, having his clean scent wrapped around me. We had tried another position that helped us co-operate better since sitting side by side usually ended our sessions in arguments, it consisted of him being behind me and me sitting between his thighs on the piano bench. I had argued for days about it before I realized how convenient it was , how we easily maneuvered between our respective notes , creating the prettiest of music. A perfect blend of light and dark.

I sighed, rolling my stiff shoulders.

"Are you tired?" He said from behind me, his voice vibrating through my back.

"Nope" I said, easily switching from what we were playing to another foreign tune. I hated to admit that Castiel was right about creating your own pieces. It took a lot to master but it felt good once you got a hang to it. The tiny rush of adrenaline when your brain is an overdrive to create something good without it sounding choppy was more than exhilarating.

Castiel noticed I was playing something else and he was quick to follow. He was too damn talented for his own good. My concentration dwindled when my phone sitting on the surface of the piano rang. I stretched to view the screen but I was still too short to see who was calling.

"It's Tyler" Castiel played the notes harder, beginning to dominate over mine, turning what was once a light cheery tune to a quickly darkening one.

"Oh" I breathed out, practically smelling Castiel's attitude change coming.

The phone stopped ringing and silence reigned between us, the only sound being the tune we were playing. He had eased off, making me take the lead again. I slowed down the tempo , closing my eyes and focusing on the feel of my fingers on the keys.

"Does he want you?" Castiel asked quietly. Almost too quietly.

"I don't know" I shrugged.

"Do you want him?"

"I don't know" My heart skipped when his hand brushed against mine.

"You don't know" He scoffed, repeating my words.

"What does it matter to you?"

"I'm not going to watch you prance into danger because it has muscles and a cock. If you want pleasure, fuck someone else"

I gasped lightly at his profanity. "Don't speak like that"

"Like what?" He feigned ignorance.

"Crudely" I quipped.

"Crudely?...now don't tell me you're a prude" I could hear the smile in his voice. He was teasing me again.

"I'm no prude" I scoffed.

"And yet you turn red when I mention cock...humor me"

"I don't need to be a prude to be disgusted by it"

I held my breath as I felt his presence lean into my back. Just an inch more and my body would be perfectly molded into his.

"I don't think you'd be so disgusted when you're absolutely dripping, every inch of you throbbing with the need to be filled up" He whispered raggedly beside my ear.

My body responded to his words without my will as usual, making my heart thud hard against my chest, heat flaring.

"Keep playing" He urged, leaning away from me like he didn't just whisper those dirty words into my ear. I didn't even notice that my hands were paused on the keys of the piano, absolutely frozen by what he had said. I turned to him, glaring when I met a knowing smirk.

"As expected, you're as red as a tomato and I didn't even say anything bad"

"You just muttered the most filthy words and you think it's nothing bad" I rolled my eyes, turning away from him.

"If you think this is filthy then you know nothing of just how filthy I could get" His voice was dark and promising.

I sucked in a deep breath to cool my heated skin and I begun playing once more.

"You didn't answer my question" I was desperate to change the topic now that my face couldn't stop burning since the topic sex got me blushing like a fifteen year old.

"Which question?" He also begun playing.

"I asked why it matters to you"

"And I answered"

"Tyler isn't dangerous"

Cassy snorted. He downright snorted. "You're clueless"

"Then give me a fucking clue for once"

"Stay away and I just might think about it"

"How am I to stay away when I have a date with him later today" I said as nonchalantly as I could master.

Cassy's fingers faltered for a second which he quickly covered up.

"Alright then" That was all he said. He didn't say anything anything else for the rest of the evening. I would have felt better if he has snapped at me or argued with me or told me how stupid I was being going on a date with someone he said was dangerous.

He said nothing, no glares, no nothing , giving a slight non-committal hum whenever I tried to bring up conversation.

I was frustrated with him by the time he parked in front of my dorm.

"Why aren't you speaking?" I sighed.

"Do you wish for me to?" He stared out the window, away from me.

"Well.." I trailed off, contemplating my words. Well when he used the word 'wish' ...then it was a problem. Did I wish for him to speak to me?....I realized with a frightening thought that maybe I did 'wish' for him to.

"That's what I thought" He mistook my silence for an answer. "I'm pretty sure Tyler could fill in your boredom. Have fun on your date Elena"

I spent days arguing with him not to call me duckling- or chipmunk when he watched me eat, but him calling me by my actual name was like a bucket of cold water to my head. And I had no idea why I was being offended by my actual name. I shouldn't be.

I cleared my throat. "Alright then"

With that I stepped out, making sure not to bang the door after me to reveal just how annoyed I was.

I dialed in Tyler's number as I took the elevator to my room. If he was the reason Cassy was acting like he was in his damn period then this date better be fucking worth it.

"Hey sweets" He picked up, his ever present grin permeating through his voice.

"Hey Tyler, I missed your call"

"I was checking if we were still on for tonight"

"Yeah we are" I walked into my room meeting Abby and Farren discussing something.

They paused and turned to me, mouthing 'hey' because I was on the phone.

I waved back and went straight to my drawer to look for something to wear.

"How 'bout I come pick you up in thirty"

"Uhh yeah sure" I pulled out a tight glittery dress that was absolutely too much for the occasion.

"Alright then, look pretty for me yeah"

A smile lit my lips. "Alright Tyler, bye"

"Bye sweets"

"Who's Tyler and where do you think you're going sweets?" Farren teased from her position on Abby's bed.

I turned to them, "Well I have dinner with this guy called Tyler"

"I call picking a dress" Farren's hand shot up.

"I call doing make up" Abby followed.

I gaped as I watched them scramble up to begin their jobs. They've got to be kidding me.

"I can pick out my own clothes" I argued.

"No you can't" Farren shoved me aside, plowing through my perfectly folded stuff which were mostly jeans and sweats.

"Far, don't even bother....she owns only jeans" Abby snorted. looking through her make up bag.

"It's just dinner, jeans isn't a bad choice" I leaned against the side of the drawer, regarding them. It was so easy to forget they could be killers when they were looking so sweet and supportive. Maybe I had calculated wrong....

I was snapped out of my thoughts as Abby pulled me towards the bed by my shoulders, sitting me down firmly. Almost too firmly.

"Just dinner doesn't mean you can't look sexy" She tilted my head up. "Farren look through my stuff for a cute black dress"

Thirty minutes later and I felt like I was choking from how constricting the black dress was around my torso and bust. The material clung to me like second skin, leaving absolutely nothing for imagination.

"Absolutely not" I gasped as I stared at myself in the mirror. I begun to strip, ignoring Abby and Farren's matching looks of horror. "I can't wear this, his mom is going to be there for goodness sake. And his mom is the damn dean...I look like a hooker"

"A hot hooker" Farren interjected me.

I threw her a nasty glare as I walked to my drawer half naked to actually find something I could wear.

"Well in our defense you didn't mention the Tyler in question was son of the dean Tyler" Abby defended as she pulled something out that looked to be a little more into my comfort zone.

Five minutes later I was staring at myself in the mirror clad in tight jeans and a flattering blouse that didn't reveal too much. Just enough to get you wondering.

Abby had floored the natural make up look, the subtleness of it making my forest green eyes pop against my somewhat pale skin. My hair was tamed and curled, flowing down my back in shiny waves. I was snapped out of my self admiration when my phone dinged with a notification.

"I'm at your door" The text read from Tyler. I sucked in a deep breath and grabbed my underarm purse, slinging it over my shoulder.

"Use protection" Abby teased, slapping my jeans clad ass and slipping into my pocket what I knew was a condom. Which I would not be using.

I rolled my eyes despite the smile I tried to suppress as I walked out of the room, meeting Tyler in a button down shirt and a bouquet of red roses.

His rosy lips tipped up in a small smile as his eyes roamed my form. "You look absolutely beautiful Ellie"

"Thank you" I breathed out, my cheeks pink but not from the make up.

"I got you these too" He handed the pretty bouquet to me. I had never for the life of me received flowers from a man and the encounter made butterflies flutter in my stomach.

"Let me put these in water real quick so we can go, and thank you Tyler..I love them" I reached up to plant a kiss on his cheek, his skin as cold as ever. I turned around and went back to the room, ignoring the girls' gushes and dramatics over the flowers. I was pretty sure they had already started with wedding plans by the time I had slipped out once more.

My hand was in his larger one the entire time we went to his car. I wanted so bad to ask him why his skin was always cold but I decided against it...that was a question for another day.

Right now I was going to have 'fun'. As Cassy put it.
