EFFORIA WORLD AT WAR

He hasn't had the best life, in fact, some would argue that his life couldn't have been worse, but there's still hope, even for a nihilist. As when an expedition to colonize the moon quickly turns into a disaster, he is swallowed whole by an anomaly and spat out somewhere completely different. Here one can conjure flames with words and summon thunderclouds with a shout, but it's not all fantasia and ecstasy. The world seemed peaceful enough, but as he learns more and more. He realizes everything he sees is a facade, and what's truly underneath is a civilization built on blood and war. In fact, the whole world is in a state of war. Then to top it all off, solidifying that he has truly jumped out of the frying pan and into the furnace, Ragnarök is fast approaching, and there's no certainty that he'll survive, that anyone will survive.

Falling Out Of Hell

I was getting out, one way or another, but four more of the giant monoliths had gotten in my way, and I'd kill them indiscriminately. It wouldn't be as easy as before, but it wouldn't be as hard either. They seemed to have been working together, they were organized and deliberate, even their approach said as much. Three approached, but one stayed behind, one that had a bow made of muscle, sinew and bone. It was larger than life, but everything was so I didn't focus on it too much, I only ensured it was in my line if sight. The three would approach and there would be three different weapons, a hammer, an axe and strangest of them all, twin blades. I wondered if they had fashioned them from the tortured souls like I had, or if they had been issued at some point in time. The question weighed on me as curiosity peaked, but I'd still kill them. It was either me or them, and I wasn't going out, I wouldn't lose.
