The basics of magic.

Sebastian was disturbed from his browsing of the systems shop when his door was opened slowly by his new little sister Sona.

"Are you awake yet Sebastian?" Sona asked out walking into the room sighing at the amount of books scattered and pulled high around the room she glanced at some of the covers and found them to mostly be about human magic instead of human magic instead of demonic magic "I'm here Sona I'll be down for breakfast in a minute" Sebastian said putting some books back in there shelves.

"Why are you learning human magic?" Sona asked intrigued as most devils tend to look down on humans as their inferior to devils "As you know our devil magic works off the power of our imagination in order to create spells so what better to do than copy and change existing ones" Sebastian replied walking past Sona who quickly followed after him to the dining room. Along the way they both walked in comfortable silence only being broken by the maids who greeted them along the way.

Looking at the door into the dining room Sebastian looked at Sona with his pinky purple eyes and locked hands with her causing her to blush slightly and look away but didnt shy away from holding hands 'how lewd' Sebastian chuckled in his thoughts walking into the dining room where his parents and older sister waited.

Serafall being the first to notice her younger siblings arrival immediately noticed them holding hands "Awawawawa why are you holding hands and not your big sisters hand! Se-tan and So-tan why did you betray me!" seeing them ignore her and sit down at the table she crossed her arms and pouted. Lord Sitri was the first to speak "I hope you slept well as today you will start your magic training" he looked to Sebastian "I know you started yours early yet it's a requirement for all high class devils to do it formally." As he finished speaking the room was filled with maids carrying their breakfast.

While making comments on the current topic on hand at the table Sebastian was talking with his system. 'System why can I understand the some of the magic I havent learnt yet?' [When host recieved (Merlins Legacy) you gained partial understand of all magic elements due to Merlins memories, for host to unlock (Merlins Inheritance) you must be strong enough to handle the contents as many of the various types of magic Merlin learnt and used are just as dangerous to the user as the target if not controlled properly] the system replied in its robotic monotone voice, "If you both are ready then Serafall and your mother will take turns teaching you the basics of each element to find which ones your most suited for" Lord Sitri said walking to door and out of it. "C'mon Se-tan and So-tan let's get learning magic with magical girl Levia-tan" said Serafall doing a pose which caused Sebastian and Lady Sitri to laugh and Sona to look horrified at her older sister's actions.

After walking to the garden of the Sitri mansion and sitting in the pavilion in the garden Serafall started teaching them both the basics of demonic magic "As you know demonic magic is powered by our imagination, and so you can create whatever kind of spells you want to as long as you have the demonic power necessary to create it such as a wall of water" saying that Serafall created a 3 meter tall and 1 meter wide wall of water just outside the pavilion "Or ice spikes" said Serafall clenching her fist causing the wall of water to fall and freeze into spikes pointing in different directions "Let's try water for both of you first as that is the main affinity of the Sitri house followed by ice" Lady Sitri said with her signature motherly smile.

Sebastian and Sona had no trouble forming balls of water however Sona struggled in making the ball move and couldn't get it to freeze into ice completely which disappointed her when seeing Sebastian could make the ball of water spin and freeze in a fraction of the time she could which showed his innate talent for magic. Serafall and Lady Sitri sensed Sebastian and Sona's demonic power reserves when they used their magic and where shocked when Sebastian had the reserves of a low high class at 4 years old! compared to Sona's low mid class reserves it was like comparing a puddle to a lake.

After a while of experimenting with a few different magic types Lady Sitri when to talk about what just happened with Lord Sitri leaving Serafall with Sona and Sebastian.

Walking into Lord Sitri's office Lady Sitri was pleasantly suprised to see her husband now swarmed with paperwork regarding their families hospital for once "Ah Maria how were the kids? Any problems with their magic?" Lord Sitri looked up from his desk with a smile on his face seeing his wife "No problems at all darling it's a very good thing I have to tell you actually" Lady Sitri replied with a bright smile "Sona's has our clans affinity to water but not ice as in Serafall's case, however this is about Sebastian" seeing his wife serious Lord Sitri set down the document he was reading and looked at his wife attentively. "Sebastian is attuned to all the basic magic elements we tried so far, it's as if its second nature to him to cast magic. He has our clans affinity to water but it seems nature and earth magic has the same level of affinty as water if not stronger." Lord Sitri honestly found nothing wrong with that and said it to his wife "That's alright it shows he will mature into a powerful devil one day" he said practically beaming thinking about his children "That's not all Conrad" seeing his wife use his name for once he knew she was serious. Getting a nod from her husband Lady Sitri continued "He has low high class demonic power reserves and given how concentrated the power is its practically rolling off of him when he casts magic."

Shocked by that information Lord Sitri downed the rest of the brandy he had been drinking beforehand and began thinking before ultimately reaching a decision "We should take him to Ajuka to make sure his body can handle that kind of power and we could ask Sirzechs in helping him control that amount of energy in him" getting a nod from his wife he made the teleportation circle of the Sitri clan and made way for Ajuka Beezlebub's lab
