Chapter 34

Time leaves no truce and two weeks had passed. The end-of-year tests were easy and I was able to successfully reach the maximum scores.

Scores that made many look at me as if I had two heads.

"That's unfair, you don't want to tell us how you did it," Issei said as he grabbed nachos from the coffee table.

"I say you are betraying the brothers," Matsuda blurted out as he chewed with a frown.

The three of us were gathered at Issei's house after much insistence that I come.

"I already told you I didn't cheat. I just studied the books," I said with a shrug.

Entering the room's door, Ms. Hyoudou says, "I brought the soda, boys. Hope you enjoy it."

"Thank you, Ms. Hyoudou," Matsuda and I said in unison.

"If you'll excuse me then," Ms. Hyoudou bows before leaving.

An silence permeated as only the crunching noises of nachos could be heard.

"Motohama," Issei put his hands on my shoulders as he sat down next to me.

"Huh? What happened?" I asked seeing the boy's grim face.

"Nothing," He smiles sympathetically at me, before saying again, "I just wanted to know ----- WHAT'S GOING ON BETWEEN YOU AND THE OCCULT CLUB?" Issei shook my collar frantically with a crazed expression. "Don't tell me that..."

"Calm down, Issei. Calm down." Matsuda intervened by pulling Issei's hands away from me. "Bros before hoes. Do you remember that?"

"Huh? I'm sorry," Issei held his head in horror. "My hands just moved of their own accord."

"And you Motohama? Are you okay?" asked Matsuda.

It wasn't like Issei's strength was enough to shake me, but I confess I came very close to giving him some lessons for his disrespect.

"I~" But before I could say anything.

"WHAT THE FUC* ARE YOU DOING? ARE YOU CATCHING THE TWO ONE-SAMAS FOR YOURSELF?" Matsuda shakes my collar with an equal expression of madness. "Nooooooo. Don't tell me you're doing this to us."

"Bros before hoes, Matsuda," Issei puts a hand on his friend's shoulders, trying to calm him down. "Bros before hoes."

*Bang* *Bang*

I adjust my collar with my eyes closed while in front of me Issei and Matsuda are unconscious. They didn't even have time to see the two quick jabs that landed squarely on the back of their heads.

I didn't like having my personal space being invaded like that.

It was while they were still on the ground that something caught my eye.

Looking in the direction of the unconscious Issei I frowned.

"Ouch. Ouch," Issei starts to get up and Matsuda shows signs of almost waking up.

"Are you okay, Issei?" I say in a worried voice.

"W-What happened?" The brown haired boy holds his head with one eye closed and a headache expression.

"Loli is justice," I said softly and Matsuda suddenly opens his eyes.

"Where? Where's Loli?" Matsuda sits, looking in all directions before the headache also assails him.

"You two were a little-- ummm, euphoric and ended up tripping and hitting your heads on the table," I explained to them the situation.

Issei and Matsuda couldn't remember properly and decided to trust my words.

"What exactly is that on your arm, Issei?" I asked seeing a bracelet resembling a chain.

"Huh?" Issei hides his hands behind his back and stutters, "N-Nothing. It's a bracelet."

Of course, that wasn't a simple bracelet. I could only feel it because Issei had held my collar earlier, bringing the object very close to my field of vision.

When using Appraise Magic I discovered that it was a very interesting magic item that concealed the passive auras of a Sacred Gear.

It was no use trying to pressure the boy. He was definitely hiding something.

It seems that Issei somehow has knowledge of the supernatural and if I'm correct... Due to such a sophisticated trinket of sacred gear, the culprit was Azazel.

Now question was, how the hell did this happen? What did Azazel intend to do with Issei?

I would have to keep an eye on him.

"Sorry guys," I got up from the table and looked in their direction. "I have an appointment and I must be gone. Tell your mother the nachos were delicious, Issei."

"Leaving already? We haven't even watched the new episode of Drag So Ball together," complained Matsuda.

"Sorry. Leave it for later," I apologized because I really had something important to do.

After convincing them that I would come to the next meeting, I left the Hyoudou residence.

...

High in the skies of Kuoh are two figures.

A giant who wears a purple-colored cape and a red suit masked man who floats elegantly.

At their feet they could see the whole view of the city that looked very tiny from the heights of the heavens.

"This is cheating," Angelie said inside the giant cloak. "You never told me you had such a cheat."

"You're the second person to tell me this today," I said slightly amused.

Angelie was a little angry with me because I had exceeded her expectations and managed to read her entire library in less than two hours.

Knowledge she had acquired with great difficulty over the centuries. Books she had to read page by page… And within hours I had it all memorized word for word.

"You never told me you had a spell to read everything instantly," she complained.

Angelie wanted to give me knowledge at a more moderate pace so she could get 'rewards' from me.

I successfully managed to modify Appraise Magic to work entirely without mana. At first I was a little apprehensive because I didn't have much experience and I was afraid of losing one of my big advantages.

Appraise Magic was a complex spell, much deeper than other detection spells.

Fortunately, everything worked out and the spell had been successfully modified.

I had a total of nearly five thousand books in my mind of different types of magic.

Many new ideas came to my mind, but I had so little time.

"It's time to change this world, Angelie," I say as I take in the city scene beneath my feet.

"Huh? Is that why you asked us to come up here?" Angelie asked a little amused.

"..."

"It's to get a little more dramatic, Okay?" I complained to the blonde. "Don't break the mood please. It's an important moment and I'm about to do something significant."

"S-Sorry," replied the blonde, before asking curiously, "And what would that be?"

"Get out of the armor," I told her.

"We're up high. Flight spells are too complex. I can't fly without [Moiras] unlike a cheater like you," she teased me.

"Do as I say," I ordered.

Although Angelie acted a little rigid at times, deep down she trusted me blindly.

The purple giant's robe began to rip open, small threads of cloth ripping open and giving access to the blonde inside.

"Think about flying and then jump," I told her with a smile.

She stares at me for a moment as if asking...

Are you trying to kill me?

But I just smile and wait for her to do as I say.

After taking a little breath, her faith in me seems to overcome her fears and she leaps out of her armor.

She despairs when she feels a few meters of fall, but her big surprise...

Angelie stopped falling and started floating upside down.

"Ow, blue flower panties," Her panties were on the outside, due to her skirt having lifted from being upside down.

The blonde took a few seconds to get used to controlling the flight and putting herself in a better position. She looks at me with a little red cheeks and asks in disbelief, "H-How is this possible?"

She could feel a negligible part of her mana draining as she floated, but most incredible of all… She wasn't using any calculations to keep herself afloat.

She just wanted to fly and it happened.

A screen appeared in front of her writing.

Click on the 'tutorial' button and we'll briefly introduce you to all available functions.

------------

"This," Angelie stares wide-eyed at the screen.

I just took off the mask and let her see my wide smile.

It was interesting to see Angelie who liked to tease me act so shocked.

She clicked on the tutorial and a multitude of other tabs became available to her.

[Status], [Inventory], [Quest], [Shop], [Map] and [Spells].

Status: Everyone knows what it is. It shows in real time: strength, mana, data if the person's body is healthy, heart rate and etc.

Inventory: A small space of 5 cubic meters that each person who has [index] can use in a pocket dimension to store items.

Quest: Find new spells or magic items that are not registered in [System] and earn contribution points. To register spells/items, use the word [Analysis] on top of the book, tome or magic item to receive the points.

( Note: Contribution points can be exchanged for spells in the shop.

[Analysis] is a modified version of [Appraise Magic], which instead of the information going to the user, is sent to the index database.)

Map: shows a small 200 meter 3d model around you and records all the places the user has walked.

Spells: List of all available spells the user has, showing their cooldowns and mana consumption.

Yes, I managed to make the spells at the index cost them mana.

Why do that? If I allowed everyone to use magic without mana, they wouldn't be evolving to their full potential.

Every human who had index was getting a new mana cap that could only be broken if they really put in the effort.

"This is grand. This is genius," Angelie looks down at her palms before glowering at me. "This method of casting magic alone is worthy of rivaling Merlin's contributions."

In a way index was a new way for humanity to use magic. If you had the purchased/acquired spell, you could only use your will to use it.

"This is just the beginning, big sister. The changes start today, right in the middle of Christmas Eve." I said when I opened my admin tab and said.

"Start spreading."

My harpies heard me.

Elsewhere on Earth.

In every country, in a variety of streets and cities, beautiful-looking women wore power company outfits, or carried parcel crates or pretended to be from internet companies.

They went from house to house and completely anonymously spread my blessings among humanity on duly selected targets.

My goal was 1000 people from the 10 most populous countries for now.

China, India, United States, Indonesia, Brazil...

In an ordinary house.

"Hey mom, what are we having for dinner today?" asked a teenager sitting on the bench.

"These boys are all about eating," said a tired 30-year-old woman, "Let me see what we have to do," The woman reaches for the fridge and...

*CRACK*

All at once, the refrigerator door flew under the force of her yank.

The boy lowers his head and the fridge door almost hits him.

There was a noise of glass being broken, it was the fridge door breaking the window glass and falling onto the street.

The woman looks scared at what had happened and couldn't explain how.

"Umm, never mind," the boy said trembling. "I lost my hunger."

A screen appeared in front of the woman and the boy.

Elsewhere, explosions of force and supernatural events began to take place.

Men who managed to stop a car by hand and women who beat up guys at least twice their size.

In my admin window I saw the user count going up.

All of them were the extent of my powers.

They've given me benefits and in return I'm empowering them.

This is the new beginning for humanity.

Creation is hard, cheer me up! VOTE for me!
